I came here during my lunch break as it is close to my work. My massage therapist Michelle did an amazing job as she focused on the areas that were causing me pain like my lower to mid back side area as well as neck shoulder tension. She first went medium then after insisted to do her technique of "knocking out the knots" which I agreed to and must I say it was intense deep tissue but my back and shoulders were definitely thankful afterwards. My body felt like a ton of bricks had hit it. I was in desperate need for a nice long shoulder massage. I had no idea where to go and turned to Yelp to try and find a place. Supa massage had a convenient location and a very quick and receptive response rate so I sent them a message. Their response time was under an hour - even though I had sent them a late night message. I was able to be seen the next day (today) at a perfectly convenient time. They are located in a smallish strip mall (with a small-ish) parking lot - but at the time of my appointment parking was no problem. They accept card (awesome!!) & cash. I didn't get the name of my masseuse, but she was a very nice (and strong!!!) woman. I opted for the one hour combination massage and by the end of it my body felt a million times better. Work tightens up my shoulder and back to the point of waking me up in the middle of the night. Yesterday was my first time at Supa Thai Massage for a deep tissue 1 hour. Amazing massage! Shoulder, back, and leg pressure points that I didn't know I needed work on. So much circulation was released from the work on my legs that I thought my head was drenched in sweat. Completely dry, I've never experienced a blood rush like that. The next day I woke up with access to my body from top to bottom that I hadn't had for years. THIS BUSINESS IS LOSING CUSTOMERS BECAUSE OF SARAH! I read reviews about her here but I never thought I would be so unlucky to get her as my masseuse. She gave me the softest combination massage I've had in my life! When I asked for more pressure, she said "ok", but did not increase the pressure even the slightest. The second time I asked for more pressure, she asked if I want to have a deep tissue massage instead, for $100. I was so surprised at the price difference but I did not want to argue with her since I am lying face down and topless!!! I knew I didn't have a choice but to let her continue and pray for a miracle that my backache will disappear even with the LAZY job she was doing. I was so ready to tell the receptionist about her. Unfortunately, she's the one manning the counter when I got out of the room. I looked at the price list and confirmed my suspicion that an hour of deep tissue massage is only $50 - not $100 like she told me! If she told me the correct amount, I would have had a deep tissue massage - not what she calls a combination massage! I asked her about it and she did not even bother to acknowledge that she gave me the wrong price. She gave me a bad look when I asked her what her name was. In the end, I left not only with the same neck, shoulder and upper back pain but also with a feeling of frustration and being cheated of my money. I don't know if the other masseuses in this place are good but because of SARAH, I am not willing to go back here again. UPDATE: I received an apology text after I wrote this review. First time going here. I had Pookie. She was nice and the place was accommodating to my time of arrival. I was to get there at 645pm and do a 1.5 hour therapy. I don't mind a lot of things. But, I was going for a combo massage and I guess just got the Thai only. She stepped all over me and said I was too tight and she couldn't really "massage" me. I think I was just too hard from all the stress in my life. The price was 75.00 for that 1.5 hour massage time. I gave a $20.00 tip and went back home to sleep. I feel a little better today. But, I need someone to put some muscle into me and my stress filled muscles and tension and unfortunately, I haven't found my place yet. This place is nice, but, it's not for me. read more

Yo!! This little bitty 80lb. woman is the STRONGEST person in the San Fernando Valley. When she says Deep Tissue, she means that thing! Lol. Homegirl is amazing. I have severe pain from multi-site neuropathy, and several herniated discs, plus osteo-arthritis in 2 sections of my spine. While uncomfortable in some areas (the nature of deep tissue), I have to say that she did an excellent job. Her pressure point application is superb. I was stretched out, thoroughly massaged, and given an amazing price for same day, walk in service. I'm so glad I found this place. Many therapists do not apply nearly enough pressure and I am happy to have finally found one who can give me some relief, albeit it only temporary due to my condition. Highly recommended for those who need a deep tissue massage and also subsequent stretching. The facility is very nice and the prices are great. I was a little annoyed at first because English is not well spoken at this location, but I will give them credit because I immediately received a text message asking if I needed a massage. It seems that they do fairly decently with text messages and I have to respect how they identify their flaws, but also have a contingency set in place to not lose business. Many of my visits to doctor's for help dealing with injuries, aches and pains have usually resulted in having a prescription in my hand before I'm even halfway finished talking...generally resulting in me looking elsewhere for healing. Acupuncture and acupressure have proven powerful, and I've found yoga to be extremely beneficial too. Thai massage somehow manages to hit all those marks, but finding the gifted masseuse is not always easy...until Joy. I discovered Joy almost 10 years ago when she was beginning her practice and have followed her across the valley until she recently opened her own studio at the NW corner of DeSoto and Nordoff, thankfully the closest address to my home yet. My wife and my 9 year old son also see her. Her ability to find the right spots is as powerful as her sensitivity for knowing how deep to go. Her new studio is by far the nicest location I've visited her at with warm green walls and clean interior. The soothing music she plays and attention to making sure the experience is tranquil always extremely calming. Her skills include warm stone therapy, sensitive Thai stretching and perfectly deep Swedish rub with fair rates. I've had the opportunity to bump into other Joy followers through the years and she definitely attracts a very respectable down-to-earth and sincere group of professionals. She shows her dedication to all by making sure every aliment has been covered. And she has trained another very talented Thai masseuse named Pooki who also has the gift and is quickly developing her own cadre of regulars. Joy and Pooki are uniquely compassionate people and skilled masseuses and if you have muscle and skeletal aches and pains, there is doubtful any better healers available in the LA area. I have a feeling all the one star reviews here are about one massage therapist named Sara. I went in excited because of all the great reviews. I need massage work weekly because of fibromyalgia. I was stuck in the valley so I gave this place a shot. I was shocked at the rudeness from the second I walked in. Then, the massage therapist didn't even introduce herself and before I know it I have a hot towel over my back. I said: "um, hello. You must be Sara." She replied very dry: yes, I am Sara. She began the massage ok, but soon she was pressing on my fibro trigger points and I was in a lot of pain. I kept trying to explain to her my condition and what I needed, but apparently she did not understand a word I was saying. Never apologized either. I had paid for 1 hour but asked her to stop at 25 minutes. She just walked out the room and didn't even have the decency to meet me outside with water. Instead, there was another lady that seemed friendly and a little nervous. I needed a massage so badly. Instead, left with even more pain. Stay away from Sara if you ever go there. She should not be providing this kind of service. One thing is to not know English well and another thing is to be rude and rough. read more
