Bags of avocados for $5 imagine that !? Of course I only took one and when I got home I went straight to grubbin. But when I cut open one avocado i was almost sent to a cardiac arrest! It was BLACK!? Don't try getting bolio or fresh cheese, I've gotten mold on my bolio and the cheese was bad!! You could sorta tell just by looking at it, the meat department has gotten better cause it use to be as bad as the other "fresh" departments but I wouldn't try it, its ok for groceries but it's alot more expensive then other grocery stores but at the same time it's convenient, if you want to go for a quick run and not deal with the crowd you could go here. I go to Super a foods for almost all my events because I love their food but I noticed more and more everytime that they never have enough working staff in the kitchen or meat department. On Christmas Eve I stood in line and was taken care of but I witnessed so much running around by the few workers there. I don't think it's safe to move that fast in the kitchen with all the equipment but what could they do with not enough help? Super A has hard working women in its kitchen and a great meat manager. I like going to this grocery store. The store itself is very clean, and there is a kind security guard that stands by the door. They follow COVID guidelines, and I've always felt relatively safe here. I enjoy their meat selection, and we often buy carne asada here as well as chicken that is in a delicious marinade. We also commonly buy queso fresco here, and it is always fresh and tasty. The only problem I have had is with the amount of items in stock. I was trying to buy a few spices, and a majority of them were sold out which was a shame. Anyways, this is a store that we commonly go to, and we will likely continue to come here. read more

This store in convenient in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Whatever is HIGLY priced and the "fresh food" isn't really fresh at all. Pastries aren't good enough but you can get impress by the look. The parking lot and building seems to be dirty and old, shopping carts and felty dirty. Don't expect a friendly smile from the antique crew and the new crew isn't really prepared or experienced to attend costumers Just saying Walmart is open a few minutes away where you can pay less and the quality would be the same If you know what I mean. read more

My experiences here haven't been horrible but they also haven't been so great either. I usually would come here to buy chicken tenders & potato wedges but 8/10 of the time the chicken tenders were super stiff & dry, to the point that you can't even bite into them. It seemed like they had fixed this issue but I've gone various times, & again it's back to the same thing. I would be a regular here, to where the ladies in the kitchen knew what I was going to get. This store is in the middle of a residential area. This place has very friendly workers, who have been around for years. Which means they treat there employees good because they don't want to leave. They are the only place I know who make the most phenomenal turkey carnitas. Incredible. The only thing that is bad that prices are hyped up, not sure if its because of the neighborhood. I've been coming to this store since I was kid. It's near the house and most of the time has everything I need. The pumpkin empenadas from the bakery are by far my favorite. The hot food items are good too. Prices are reasonable and the wait times in the checkout line aren't too bad. read more

OK, so the prices aren't as low as Food 4 Less but you can still find some reasonably prices items here. I like that they have a bakery and hot food section. Their pastries are pretty good. They also have a huge selection of wine. They carry some of my favorites from San Antonio Winery for just as much as you would pay for a bottle there. Like most Mexican supermarkets in the area this place can be a bit pricier. The hot food section has a good amount of options to choose from, but the food doesn't look appealing. The food looks like it is cooked in the morning and just sits out there. Also, I don't know how many of you have every had chicken wings that have been over cooked, but that is pretty much how all the wings are here. They have been cooked so long that they are beyond crispy and they actually shrink. The rice, on the other hand, is prepared perfectly and I would highly suggest getting a good amount if you frequently eat rice or you're planning on having a party. The potato salad and macaroni salad are also good, but I would say there isn't anything special that I can point out about them either. 2 highlights at this place would be the prices on alcohol and the meat in the butcher section. They always seem to have some drink specials going on, so if you want to wet your whistle and you are local I would suggest stopping by. The meat at this place is better than what you would get at some other places. The price, though, is probably higher. The ranchera meat is $7+ a pound. That seems a little excessive compared to the $5-6 it would cost at Northgate, but some people don't have the means of transportation to head out there. Overall this place is ok and way better than La Super. read more

I don't always love their price, produce and lack of variety of products but considering they are so close and most of the time I'm in a rush this is my only choice. Went to the bakery, got a prepackaged cheesecake with was waxy tasting, ewww, also grabbed a strawberry covered n chocolate and sprinkles, strawberry wasn't that fresh, chocolate was good but without the perfect strawberry, blah! This is my in-between store for items like milk, bread, etc. I don't do my big shopping here because of their limited items and high prices. Lately, I've been having issues with expired food items from them. Today marks the 5th time where I'm having to return an expired item. Worst customer service!! Stopped by to get a type of cheese that I couldn't find at any other store. Unfortunately it was in the section where they sell hot food and since it was late it was already closed. We asked if it was possible to have someone just get it for us since it was prepackaged. We were told to ask the manager and so we did. He said we would have to wait since he was counting money. We waited...and waited...and waited. I guess he didn't care about customer satisfaction as his conversation with the two cashiers was more important. The worst part is that one of the girls was eating an ice cream like she was at home and not at work. Very unprofessional! Anyway, I got tired of waiting and decided to leave. I went this morning to buy desert for a lunch in at work and was in and out in no time! The isles were a bit messy and full of clutter but I knew exactly what I needed to get and did what I had to do and get out. The cashier seemed upset or tired to be there. There was no good morning or a smile with the service. I usually go there because it is on the way to work but I have experienced better service at other stores. I really liked my first visit. It's a small store with ample parking in the lot. They have great Mexican delicacies such as cremas and quesos that make your Mexican dishes extra special. The cakes here delicious! They are made from scratch and have very reasonable prices. I always get compliments on them. Great selection of meats, even lean meats like extra lean ground turkey options which is a rarity for a Hispanic neighborhood. They always have the cutest house plants toward the back of the produce section. You can find gardenias, azaleas, and some very beautiful rare ever green shade plants as well. If I could put no stars I would , the last two times I've been inside , it's been way over crowded , every line is open , there's people lined up going down the aisles , the security guards laying back not paying any attention , I don't know who's in charge of this store , but it's clearly someone who doesn't know what there doing ,, or maybe there just putting profits over the safety of their customers, the last time I was in was yesterday during Mother's Day ,, an wow ,, it was obvious that the manager really couldnt careless on how many people were in this store , normally I wouldn't bother to go out of my way to say something but this was just not only not safe , but was sad ,, to see there employees there with no sense of leadership ,, sadly I won't be returning to this location or any of there locations there's to many options out there for me or my family to put ourselves at risk to buy a gallon of milk an other things we might need ,, rather take an extra 5 min drive then waitin in a 15 min line because they let all of southgate in at one time ,, again , who ever is running This place , wake up ,, again won't be returning an will deff spread the word on how this store is managed, smh read more

The cashiers, stock boys, bakery workers and people working in the carniceria section are always polite, professional and knowledgeable. The price isn't the cheapest but the store is conveniently located. The store is clean and parking is never a problem. However I don't know what is going on in the deli section...I've tried buying queso fresco from there but noticing their attitude I walked away, Lol I'd rather buy it elsewhere. i shop at supper a around two to three times a day. this store is close to my house and convenient. my husband loves thier coffee. he buys one almost every morning. the vegetables are pretty fresh, but some of the fruits could be fresher. i like thier meats but, i wish they would last longer in my fridge. as far as thier cosina, i like thier fried chicken and turkey carnitas. they sell also this delicious molcajete roja salsa. its awsome! the bakery is great. thier bolillos are always fresh and delicious. thier bakers are awsom!. thier tres leches cake is superb! in their deli department they sell smoked turkey slices that are delicious, but thier service people could be more courtious. as far as pricing, they over price a lot of thier items. overal this store is ok. manager seams to concerned when you have a complaint but he lacks following through with complaints. in all i will continue to shop here, but their employees need to have more compation for thier customers and be more helpful. i myself want to walk into a store where people are kind and friendly. it sets the mood for a pleasureable shopping experience. thank you supper a for your service. i hope you will strive to continue to satisfy your loyal costomers read more
