I had the best burger and fried mushrooms for a reasonable cost I don't feel too guilty! I'll be back over and over!

I ordered a super double bacon cheese burger combo and a oreo razzle came out to 21 dollars and some change. The burger was good at first but it left a weird like oily taste in my mouth, like something was wrong with the meat. The razzle Oreo was alright nothing special. Well after being in Porterville for 7 months - missing Benny's Taco Shop cheeseburgers in San Diego, I FINALLY found a great cheeseburger. Of course all cheeseburgers need bacon. Actually everything needs bacon! Anyway, the wait in the drive thru line after I ordered was a bit long but when I got home and opened my bacon ORTEGA cheeseburger, it was so beautiful. It spoke to me and said, thanks for stopping by Super Burger, I've been waiting for you! I even called to speak to the manager, which always scares the staff. Manager wasn't there but I had to tell the person who answered that the bacon Ortega cheeseburger I just tasted was the best burger I've had in years and years. Besides Benny's Taco Shop cheeseburgers. The price of this giant cheeseburger was terrific. Well worth the wait and cost. I even took the time to take a picture for your pleasure. The cheeseburger was so big I had leftovers today. Still great!!! Thanks Super Burger. I may try the pastrami sandwich. I've always wanted Ortega chilies in my cheeseburger. This is the first place that had it as a burger. The only thing I didn't order was pickles and onions as I prefer neither. The sauce was great. Could use a bit less. read more

The chocolate chip milkshakes are absolutely delicious. I've been coming here for over 20 years, and they taste just as good today as they did back in 2000/2001. When you take a sip of the milkshake, you get small little chocolate bits that you can munch on. And then, they put chocolate on the walls of the inside of the cup so that when you finish the milkshake you can scrape the side of the cup for more little chocolate bits. I've been to many, many places for ice cream around California and Super Burger is still my absolute favorite for milkshakes. read more

I've been coming here ever since I found out relatives live here. And if there's one constant in my Porterville travels.... WILL BE SUPER BURGER! Ironically, we come for the shakes, we get the Chocolate Chip one and they blend it with Vanilla and Chocolate shavings. Name me a place that can do this (I think not). For $22 for 2 bacon burgers it's a pretty good deal. Food was amazing and filling. The workers were quick to take the order but when you're in a rush it's understandable. Good Service. Only thing is that the interior looks like it's still stuck in the 90's but overall a good experience. read more

Hunger kicked in and I wanted a burger, so being that this burger joint is popular in the area, this became my destination to grab a bite. The place is a bit outdated but has an old fashioned burger joint feel to it so it evened out the look. The employees were a bit robotic as in they weren't rude, but they weren't nice either....they kinda just did their jobs. The food was good, but not great. My burger was enjoyable and my fries were very good (I love me some crinkle cuts) soda was a bit flat though. All in all I would scrunch my nose if asked to come here again. We stopped here on a whim. We've been here before and it was decent, but instead of chicken strips we got bacon cheeseburgers and a fried chicken sandwich combo. Paid ~$35 for 3 combos and one cheeseburger. The staff is nice. The patties are thin, the bacon is thick and they come with lettuce, onion, and tomato and a mysterious sauce. The chicken sandwich was below average. It's a frozen, circle chicken patty like they serve at school or the hospital. The fries are crinkle cut with seasoning salt. Pretty tasty. The fountain drinks are great and come with the "Sonic" ice as my daughter likes to call it. The little circlish/spherical ice. The food came quick, place is empty, but the drive-thru had a few cars (line is usually wrapped around the parking lot). Only complaint is the place is kinda dirty. One of my daughters had to wipe the back of her chair off before she sat down. Multiple annoying flies buzzing around, the same as our last visit. My daughter went to shoo a fly away and ended up knocking her sister's bag of fries all over the floor. The whole visit was us pretty much fighting 2-3 flies. After giving it some long thought and skimming through the restaurants in town, I realized that Super Burger is a great place to eat. You can't go wrong with their crispy fries that are perfectly salted not to give off too much saltiness but enough to make them suitable, especially dipped in ketchup, and how they serve their beverages in crushed ice. I love drinking soda or beverages with crushed ice as it's easy to chew and keeps the cup cooler. I recommend their chicken strip meal if you have not been to Super Burger. Overall this place is decent. Their mushroom balls are amazing! Their burgers are good sizes though I will say I have gotten more onion rings for what they charge for theirs. Their shakes are good as well. I will say beware of the fried chicken. I came here the other day and ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and half way through I saw that it was pink and I ate a few pink pieces. I decided I'd give this local spot a try and came here for take-out on a Monday evening. As expected, the drive-thru line was six cars long so I went in. There was no line. The menu is very old school and not exactly the most descriptive. The place is staffed by younger guys and gals, all oh whom were courteous and busy, not overly welcoming but nothing out of the ordinary. I ordered a deluxe cheeseburger, jalapeño poppers and fries. The burger was okay. Old fashioned for sure, with everything you'd expect, little meat and thousand island. The other items were thrown into the fryer from the freezer and were generic but again, as expected. Don't expect fresh potatoes or gourmet burgers. It's a solid local choice, though I suspect out-of-towners and those used to Fatburger and In-n-Out will not be as excited. They do wear gloves while they cook - FYI. read more

Quite an unpopular opinion, but I don't really like it. I came here from a different town to meet my brother and his wife, and he recommended us Superburger. Just so you know, I ordered the Deluxe Cheeseburger Combo. The fries could've used had a little salt and it would've been good, but there was barely any salt which made it taste bland, even though it had seasoning on it. Then, since I didn't want to get the original sauce, I asked for just mustard. But, they put WAY too much mustard on my burger, which made me barely even able to eat half of the burger before I had to stop eating it. Also, I'm not a big fan of the styrofoam cups they have. Delicious hamburgers and outstanding pastrami sub. This place is halal, I think? Love that they use beef bacon instead of piggy. No piggy on the menu. Yay! Pork is gross. Gave 4 stars because the fries were good but when you're used to "In n'Out" fries these are just different enough that I didn't love them - made with seasoning salt, ribbed cut, just ok.
