I've been here about 10 times over the last 4 years and must say that this was a premier dessert spot when they had the little food truck and everything was "authentic". Now, this place has been reduced to mediocre at best. Was really disappointed after my last visit. This place seems like they had so much success so fast that they didn't know how to handle it and ran it to the ground. 1. Went from food truck to brick & mortar which was a plus at first for the space, but now you leave there smelling like burnt batter. 2. Small cup of ice cream and 2 churros went from $5.99 to $8.99. All items went up in price. I didn't expect the prices to stay the same forever but damn, that rent must be steep... 3. Service, went from quick and efficient, to my son and I being the only ones there and they took 15 minutes to serve us a scoop of ice cream and 2 churros. Before, that place used to be packed and we ordered 5 different items and had them in less than 10 minutes. 4. The churros are now made differently and leave an after taste. Sad to see but they can still save this place with some minor tweaks. I was looking forward to a churro icecream! When I went to pick my ice cream it was melted! One of the flavors was pure soup. Photo attached. I was so disappointed. I had a late-night craving for something sweet and satisfying. I found Super Churros on Postmates about 30 minutes before they closed. I ordered the Churro Box and a Colada Piña Smoothie. The churros were still slightly warm and they were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. You can choose to have your churros coated in cinnamon-sugar or plain sugar, and you can also choose from up to 6 dipping sauces. I chose cinnamon-sugar and 3 dipping sauces: Dulce de leche, Sweetened condensed milk, and Caramelo. The Colada Piña Smoothie was SO freaking good!! The actual churro was so crispy with the perfect dusting of sugar, and inside was creamy molten dulce de leche. Given the chance, I could eat a few of these in one sitting. This place has the best beat churros you'll have unless you fly to Mexico and get them from el Mercado yourself. If I've previously given any other churros a 5, I take it back! This place sells the true 5 star churro. They're perfectly crispy and excellently coated with cinnamon and sugar. Cooked perfectly! Not raw in the middle, not hard and chewy, these are perfect every time. They come with dipping sauces that are also pretty tasty. I get the strawberry jam but my gf likes the dulce de leche. Get the order of 6, don't worry if you think it's too much, it's not. You'll get more next time. Also, I wash it down with the Mexican Chocomilk that also reminded me of something I'd get in the mornings in a Mexican Mercado. Delicious The location is a small food truck that you may have a hard time finding on some GPs's. Either way it's worth the drive, I have a hard time not coming here every other day.
