I found Enrique through a Yelp search for drywall contractors in Portland. We needed the ugly acoustic ceiling removed from our condo in Lake O. I was managing this work from California, through a digital door code and video chat! Enrique not only came in with the best price of all six contractors, he was able to start almost immediately! Best of all, he sent a video of his progress and explained how challenging the work was because the ceiling had been painted multiple times (ugh!). When we finally got the see the work up close, we found a super job done (see what I did there? Super... lol) from the quality of the job to the cleanliness of the condo when they were done. Super Drywall was a subcontractor brought in by my GC. The price was competitive but there were two issues which really keep me from providing a higher rating. 1) After they finished the work, I stopped by the house and found the front and back doors unlocked and lights on throughout the house. The house is empty (my father moved out and we are prepping it for sale). It is incredibly unprofessional to leave a house unlocked when leaving the site. 2) I had to have them come back twice after they "finished" to fix some poorly done ceiling texture. They needed to blend the texture in, which I know is hard, but the first time they outright missed an ~1 square foot area and both times there were areas they didn't miss but the quality of the texture blend was really amateurish. After two trips the GC called it "good enough" - and since we are just selling the place, I am going to bit my tongue and accept it, but if I was living there, they would be coming back for a third visit. It is really too bad these two things had to drag down what would otherwise have been a 5 star review. read more

I am a General Contractor and have worked with many drywall contractors over the years. I met with and received quotes from 5 companies before selecting Super Drywall. Enrique was very professional, obviously experienced and provided the most complete quote of the group. The price was very reasonable (not the cheapest but those never work out anyway). The crew was amazing. The project was an unfinished garage with an additional separation wall added. Every shift arrived on time, worked quickly but thoroughly and produced amazingly smooth walls and ceiling. I did not want texture so the final product had to be pretty much perfect. I had a small drywall job that needed to be done in a rental property. I contacted Super Drywall and explained the scope which they seemed to be on board with. They were initially prompt; I met with them a few days later to check the site out, where the drywaller said he'd get back to me later that day or tomorrow morning with an estimate for the work. He did not. I called twice over the course of multiple days and he finally gave me a pretty high estimate after explaining he lost my number. I texted back the next day to accept this estimate - no response. I called and left a voicemail the following day - no response. It's been almost a week since then and I'm done reaching out after this business ghosted me. I know that the economics of running a contracting business is not friendly toward small jobs. I'm okay with the bids being high to offset this reality. I understand that this is why they're not prioritized. However, I do expect them to not waste my time and to know their appetite, and to not leave me hanging if a job just isn't for them. These 2 wasted weeks have kept the rental unit off the market that much longer than I anticipated; a simple "i don't want this job" would have saved me time and money. We are remodeling the second floor of our home. All of the walls and ceiling were covered with a very heavy "scratchy" texture. Super drywall used a skim coating to smooth the walls. They are gorgeous. It radically changes the whole feeling of the space and their technique is perfect. It is so beautiful. Additionally, the fellows that were here were such good guys.
