On September 1, 2025, while driving on I-10 in Mississippi, I had a very concerning experience with one of Super Ego's trucks, unit number 367843. The driver abruptly switched lanes without enough clearance, nearly causing me to get into an accident. It was an extremely unsafe maneuver that put me and others on the road at risk. For a company of this size, I would expect higher standards of safety and training. Professional drivers should prioritize caution and awareness, especially when operating large commercial vehicles. I flew into O'Hare from LAX. They said they'd call me an uber to pick me up. Instead, their security guard picked me up in a van. I'm thinking (weird) but ok. They told me they have a hotel for me, and that I'd have to share a room with someone, or sleep in one of their trucks. HA! I got my own hotel. Clearly, they don't know who they were dealing with. Before arriving, they asked me MULTIPLE times what kind of truck did I want. I told them the latest model tractor - didn't care what model. They tried to put me in a beat up 2022 KW...and price it a $500 per week. I said absolute not! This isn't what I was told over the phone. I have text messages to prove it. The facility was sad looking. Even my uber driver warned me before dropping me off that this company is sketchy....and that he's heard bad things. He wasn't wrong! Waste of time and money! Thank goodness I had other business to take care of in Illinois! If not, this trip would've been a total waste of money! I would NEVER recommend this company. I gave it ONE star because of Lily! She's a very nice lady. If you do decide to come to this dumpster fire, PLEASE ask for pictures of the truck so you know EXACTLY what you're getting PRIOR to your arrival, and have them save it for you. Unfortunately, my experience with super Ego company was very disappointing. I drove about 12 hours to come here after communicating for more than a week with a recruiter named Derrick, who was very professional and helpful through text messages. However, when I arrived at the office, the experience was completely different. The receptionist at the front desk, Sarah, was rude when I asked who I was supposed to meet. Huge setback financially, physically, and emotionally. When I signed on to this outfit just over 30 days ago. I signed a contract before even seeing the truck (Huge mistake). I was flown from Chicago to Atlanta to recover. It was littered with mechanical issues. There's no way to make good money here. Dispatch will give yiu a load snd appointment time. You go to the place and the appointment time you were given was wrong so you have to sit and wait til the end of the day so they can fit you in. Dispatch also fails to give load numbers ot po numbers for the loads. When you call Dispatch, no answer. They might call back in 3 hours or maybe the next day. Sitting in a truck without wheels turning messes up the whole week. But even though they messed up, better believe they're gonna get their money. 500 truck payment, 350 trailer rental, 250 cargo insurance, 350 escrow all in a week and its every week. Not to mention if your truck breaks down they STILL take money for the fix out of your next check. When you're recruited to sign on they say they will cover expenses while in their 1 day training program. 1 day turns into 4 days because nobody knows what they're doing. You're in a hotel room packed with strangers while they figure out who's doing what. Then after you've been there about 6 weeks they take 30 bucks per night out of your check for the hotel stay. A stay that was their fault it lasted 4 days instead of 1. If the truck doesn't make over 7000 a week your check will be less than 200 bucks due to their frivolous charges. It seems like the company is just a bunch of scammed looking to take as much asvthry can from the drivers who do all the work. Save yourself a huge headache and avoid super ego. Here's my honest and proven review of Super Ego Holdings & it's Subsidiaries Companies: I joined Super Ego Holdings to experience their highly advertised, marketed and promoted Owner Operator Lease Purchase to Own Program. During my almost one month with the company and it's subsidiaries, the following was my take of the program's pros and cons: Pros; 1) The $0 Down Lease Purchase to Own is a win and mainly get newer semi-trucks. Their sales team are doing an amazing job and they will not force or persuade you to take a truck that you don't like or want. I was impressed with their customer service and good job they're doing. 2) The Safety, Accounting and ELD Departments are also very efficient and professional with what they do. Cons; 1) The Recruiters and let me say the recruiter I worked with was not honest and open to providing material facts of what to expect when you joined and would try and dodge important information that would help to make a well informed decision. All he did was push push push with non-stop text messages and emails to close a recruitment and earn his money. 2) My first Dispatcher didn't meet my level of expectations and had to request for a change. The next Dispatcher was better but still he was not able to meet my expectations and goals to succeed every single week. You have to push the Dispatchers to get you acceptable and suitable loads to enable you as the Owner Operator Truck Driver close the week strong and able to take home some money. I was never able to get enough income and money to cover my bills and even pay my rent to the point of getting eviction notice because I can't pay my rent due to the mess up of this Owner Operator Lease Purchase to Own Program. I never got the right pay for loads and or enough miles to help me cover the very basic costs, expenses and pay myself as the truck driver and retain some savings for future truck maintenance. 3) The Trailer Department failed me big time. I was given an unroadworthy trailer that had no brakes at all, which exposed me to the risk of getting into an accident, losing my life and or injury. It was corrected at TA Truck Care Center and was noted that their mechanic had repaired the brakes wrongly by connecting the brake airlines defectively. Further, the tires were worn out to hold enough heavy weight and on two occasions I had loads of waste paper weighing 44,000 lbs and I had tire blow outs. When I decided I didn't want to continue with the Lease Purchase to Own Program, they threw those charges on me so that I don't get any money from the hard worked week of my earnings. I returned their trailer better and in good road worthy condition than I received it and did the respectful and professional thing to even take their trailer back to their yard at my own fuel cost. This is completely unacceptable, wrong and bad business practice to take away money from someone unjustifiably. 4) There's a catch on the Truck Driver Owner Operator as the way the whole model and system is structured it's out to benefit and profit the company and it's subsidiaries. They find just enough loads and miles to meet their money for the truck payments, cover fuel and the 12% Dispatch fee and the truck driver is not even able to pay himself not even break even. I don't see any truck driver on this program ever making even a marginal profit. This all sucking blood and sweat of a hard working truck drivers. 5) In my best observations and opinion this whole program is more of a scam to benefit Super Ego Holdings and it's subsidiaries and has no regard to the success of the truck driver as an Owner Operator. They are taking advantage of disparate people who are looking for an opportunity to better their lives and they have found a loophole to exploit people for their own benefits and gains. This tells by the high number of people joining and quickly leaving when they discover the program isn't what the recruiters speak off and say about the truck driver's success. Just be very very very careful when considering Super Ego Holdings and it's subsidiaries as you will waste your time and come out with nothing to show for your hard work but be in a worse position than you were before joining like it has happened to me. 6) RUN RUN RUN RUN AND STAY AWAY FROM SUPER EGO HOLDINGS, IT'S SUBSIDIARIES AND THE PEOPLE ASSOCIATED WITH IT ... After all the bad reviews I still came thinking I can run things in a more productive way.I received my truck March. 8th and it is now March 13th and I have not ran one load me and the dispatcher is not getting alone. I ran my trucks at atleast $2 a mile so that was my bottom dollar I even eased up a bit and stated hey send me whatever just get my confirmation 1st I waited all day Thursday and Friday after sending the dispatcher a ton of lanes. Point of this story is the law suit they have against them for altering rates is for a reason.
