Do not buy a vehicle from here or work here. They add $3199 to EVERY new car and play games with added fees. They advertise a fake price and then add fees when you show up. They do not have a typical open floor, there are 3 separate departments (new, used and DRC). Leads are few and far between and not distributed evenly. They definitely trick you because a lot of people have been there for many years, but you learn really quickly that they USED to be a good dealership. Now they are your typical garbage dealer that baits and switches. They advertise vehicles as certified, then charge you $1300 for a certification fee. Unethical, immoral and unprofessional place. Eric the used car director is a snake and very unprofessional. Talks about everyone behind their back. He used smokeless tobacco spitting in front of customers and in the urinal. Talks about every female in terms of "hot or not". Do not believe anything he says during the interview or during so called training (I received ZERO). You'll notice no response from the dealer because what are they going to say?? Like the other negative responses "oh we don't do business that way" or "that's not representative of our dealership". I recently took my car to get an oil change service which included a tire rotation. While getting the tire rotation they broke all the wheel locks in my car and in order for them to replace them they had to order new parts. As a busy working individual it was very inconvenient for me to bring my car to get fix on a different day. It's very unprofessional how they run their business which their main priority should be customer service. Horrible recovery. I lived in Glendale Heights since 2016 and I've always went to Sunrise Chevrolet for service but over the years the service and customer service went to non existent. So I moved away in April and traveled back to Glendale Heights for a doctors appointment so I decided while at the doctors to let them look at my heater in November 2023 because it had stopped working. They told me they were swamped with work and it won't be ready the same day. So like in the past they offered you a loaner but this time Julia said we don't do loaners anymore or we don't have any loaners something to that extent. So I went over to Hertz and rented a car on my own. Left in my rental, the next day they called and told me what was wrong and a price of $600 plus to fix my heater problem and I said ok go ahead and fix it. The next day I came to get my car and I notice a crack in my windshield and a scratch on one side of my car I took it back to show Julia right away. I told her the scratch was minor but can she take a picture of the windshield which she did and told me her manager just left for the day but they would get back to me. Month later I notice that I haven't received a call back so I called and spoke to Julia again because at this point I've been patient and the crack on my windshield got bigger. Yet again I called and spoke to Julia and again she told me someone will get back with me. So I waited another 2-3 weeks still nothing. So I called again and ask for a manger, per manager don't remember his name asked my name and said someone will get back to me that day or the next day. It's been almost 3 weeks and still haven't heard from anyone. I wrote this review to say they don't value you as a customer there anymore. I bought my 2020 Chevy Trax there, use to get my oil change there etc. but over the years the customer service has went to nothing. So if you have other options go somewhere else because Sunrise chevy will never be the same. read more

He took me for a ride and explained to me all of the details on the car. He was very informative and relaxed. He was not being pushy. My only issue is that they did not have the spare key ready for me when I bought the car. I had to return 4 or 5 times, all with different reason as to why I couldn't be able to pick up the key. I caution anyone wanting to buy from this dealership. Very dishonest and you cannot trust anything they promise you. I put $5000 deposit down for the first allocation of a Corvette Z06 more than a year ago. The signed contract with my deposit clearly states that I will be the first person to get the car if and when they get their first allocation. This was black and white on the contract and receipt of deposit AND confirmed by the GM. New GM joins the dealership and I made sure to introduce my self and he confirmed that I will be the first person to get the allocation when it comes in. I check in with them almost every month by stopping in to get the latest. My most recent visit in late Feb was a huge surprise (in a bad way). I knew that Z06 were being delivered and went into the dealership asking with hope of new allocation. I normally talk to the GM (Dominick) but he was off so I spoke to another salesman. He tells me that the dealership has one allocation and an order was placed with production. It should be here in next 2-3 months. I was a bit surprised as I would have been notified to confirm my configuration. I called the GM (Dominick) immediately on his cell phone and his response was "oh, no one told you? You cannot get the allocation and we are refunding you $5000 deposit. The owner of the dealership wants to keep the car for himself". This happened after they kept my $5000 deposit for more than a year, my continuous engagement with them every 1-2 months and when they finally get an allocation, they make up some excuse to screw over a customer. I know they can sell the car for well above MSRP and made this excuse to make more money. It is these type of stealerships that destroy the brand equity of GM. So sad to see as GM invest so much money in R&D to build this world class sports car (finally) and it is these type of experience that will kill it. Take your money elsewhere. I bought my car at another Chevy dealer/ great staff. I get 2 free oil change so I went to this one due to it's the closes one to me. First oil change went great! 2nd one was not happy. It was time for the next oil change and made an appointment- got off work early to go before they close. Got there Jorge Camarena said I would have to pay for it due to it is over 300 miles expiration I'm like what nobody mentioned this to me. So I said you won't do it? It's 300 miles over, he said nope. He didn't even try to ask the manager and try to override it. So yes I walked off very upset. And plus they left my hood opened. I called my original car dealership and I'm getting it done at that dealership next day, they were surprised this happened and apologized for them. This dealership has given me such a hard time. Last year, I was on the market for a new vehicle. The seller did the whole ordeal where they bring in the manager to help close the sale. The manager was the most condescending person I've ever met. Little did he know I had a check in my pocket ready to purchase. Today, I decided to give them another chance. I needed an oil change, I didn't have an appointment since in previous times I've never needed one. During the negotiations of buying a used car Manny, who claimed to be an assistant manager then changed it to just a salesman, stated that the State of Illinois required them to charge me $303.60 for Document Fees. When questioned he stated he didn't know anything because he was told to tell buyers this was required. When asked about the $995 processing fee he stated that was for selling used cars and that all have to pay that. They have all used cars listed as Price plus tax, title, license and $300 document fee. Not only is that deceptive marketing under FTC and state laws, the dealerships declaration that Document Fees are required by law is further proof of misleading and deceptive practices. read more

Despite my desperate pleas not to add another car to our family, my husband decided he wanted one anyway. A truck. A truck that I do want (to tow our awesome future RV in, duh!), just not today. But he decided on 'today.' So last week, after I picked him up from work, we came to Sunrise Chevrolet to look at a truck that he saw online. He had called earlier and set up an appointment with someone. For privacy's sake, let's call him B. When we arrived at the dealership, I noticed a board behind the receptionist desk that had the names of different salespeople with how many cars they've sold this month so far. B was the only person that hadn't sold a car yet. Hmm. The receptionist had to call him several times before he came to meet us. Then he brought us to a cubicle in the very back of the dealership that wasn't even his ("I prefer to work here since it's quieter and closer to the copy machines"). OK. That's fine. Now here's where we started to learn our lesson: when someone makes you sit down with them for an hour and a half processing paperwork and running your credit and talking down to you BEFORE showing you the car that you wanted to see -- you need to leave. Since my husband and I both have a history of buying cars from private sellers (no bullcrap -- and with cash), we weren't quite sure what to expect from a dealership. We expected to see the truck, talk about financing options, and leave. Instead, we're sitting around for nearly an hour processing paperwork before even seeing anything. THEN, we're told that due to our lack of credit (which I'm damn proud of actually, so don't hate on me), that the only vehicle they can offer us is a little hatchback Chevy Malibu Maxx SS. And we took it for a drive through the parking lot. Lame. Newer car than the truck we wanted to see, and with more miles. We came for a truck. We don't want a freaking car. We spent the next hour listening to this 21 year-old punk salesman (B) tell us why we should get this car. On top of that, he even has the gall to say, "I'm started to get frustrated with you. I've spent over an hour and a half with you, expecting that you came here to get a car." DUDE. We just wanted to see a truck. We never even got to see what we really came for. You're the one the dragged us through this whole ordeal. It's your own damn fault that you took this long to even show us a car -- that we don't even want. I know he was thinking that he was helping us out by giving us something (this silly car) that could help us build credit, but it just wasn't right for us. At this point, I was so livid with this guy. I was so close to ripping his head off, but instead snapped at him, "I really don't want to argue with you right now so I'm just going to sit here and ignore you." (Ooooh... just writing this out is making my blood boil again.) I even told him that I didn't want the car, I wasn't buying the car, and I just wanted to go. The only reason we didn't get up and leave was because we wanted to find out exactly what financing we would be able to qualify for! (That, and my husband was actually seriously considering getting that car -- but that's a whole different argument that Yelp doesn't need to know about.) We never really found out what we qualified for. Eventually, B got the manager to come over and talk to us. I do have to give the store manager a lot of credit for being incredibly friendly, patient, and understanding with us. He even knocked $1500 off the price. I still wish he wasn't trying to push the car on us too, though. It was because of this manager that we left in an amiable mood. It was because of a good experience the next day at a different dealership that we realized how terrible salesman B's approach was. Now we understood why the guy hadn't sold any cars this month. The funny thing is, that while we were sitting there, B said something along the lines of, "I don't want to do anything so that someone writes negative stuff on the internet." Guess what? I came here looking to buy my first car. I had an idea of what I wanted, but not being much of a car person I knew I was going to need some time to think it over. I know that 2014 models are slim pickings at this time of the year, but we basically only had two options of the model/color I wanted. Depending on how much they could bring it down (I know they're trying to get rid of the 2014s at this point) I wasn't necessarily against a fully loaded car, but it wasn't something I NEEDED. My dad was with me and from the get-go said we were just looking and wanted to know pricing on some stuff to start comparing. We didn't get out of there for over 2 hours. I kept getting asked "well which one do you want?" I don't know! I also didn't appreciate the tricky way of saying "it's only a 10 dollar difference" between the cars. Yeah it's 10 dollars...per month...for 72 months. So that's actually a $720 dollar difference, which is a nice chunk of change. Also I was given several pieces of paper to sign, which I understand is necessary, but several things weren't explained why I was signing. My dad had to ask what are you asking her to sign. A small thing to mention was we asked if there was a pop machine anywhere and he just gave us vague directions to it, and when I got there none of the coffees worked except the most expensive ones (big shock). At the dealer I ended up buying from, they not only offered without me asking, but they got me drinks and brought them to me gratis. Much better service! While I didn't expect free pop, it was that added level of customer service that made them stand out. The sales rep also played the waiting game with us for an insane amount of time. Like I mentioned, for someone just wanting pricing, why on EARTH were we there for two hours??! After a good 20 minutes of our rep being gone, my dad finally went to look for him. At this point, I sat there awkwardly licensing to the lady next to me yelling about why she can't finance at their prices. The lack of privacy at their little desks was definitely questionable. After another 10 minutes of this my dad finally managed to track our sales rep down and came back with him. After all of this, enough was enough. We left extremely frustrated. My dad told him that was a waste of time, to which the rep had the audacity to reply "well why were you looking then if that's not what she wanted?". So incredibly rude! He guaranteed we weren't coming back and proved why he was the rep with the least amount of sales on the board. Thank you, Sunrise, for making my first car buying experience a nightmare. If I could rate this location lower than a 1, I would. These guys are top of the line scam artists. I've given them 3 chances & they've totally struck out. When I first took my truck to them it was for minor repairs (belts, speakers & a window) when I pulled off the lot, my oil light came on. I went back & they said my oil was empty. Now, my truck had gotten an oil change 2 months prior so how could it be out of oil!? I let that go & dismissed it. A short time later my girlfriend took my truck in for an oil change only to be told that the sway bar links were broken & that the ball joints were bad. She brought my truck back & it hasn't driven the same ever since. Also, I then had scratches all over the hood of my truck which they claimed that it happened in the car wash. Apparently they wash vehicles with razors or knifes? Now here's the best part. I saw a truck for sale & despite previous experiences I went to take a look at it. Now, I was going to trade in my truck (which I still owe on) but after, Roger showed me the numbers I refused to do business with them. They attempted to add the entire amount of my old loan into the new loan. This is 100% incorrect. The amount that should've been added is the balance due AFTER the trade in value is subtracted from the sticker price of the new vehicle. So if I owe $15,000 & they give $12,000 trade-in than the $12,000 is subtracted from the sticker price then $3,000 (the balance owed after trade-in) is then applied to the new price of the vehicle. This is how it should look.. $30,000 - $12,000 = $18,000 $18,000 + $3,000 = $21,000 This is what they did... $30,000 - $12,000 = $18,000 $18,000 + $15,000 = $33,000 See what they did there? Now, they asked me to look at the numbers in different ways where in which all of them brought the total to their side but in reality, there's 1 way to look at the numbers & none of which they wanted to do. To further prove my point that what they're doing is wrong let me "look at it this way." If I sold them my truck outright, they are taking financial responsibility for me paying $12,000 to my loan & I am responsible for the remaining balance. They get my truck, I get $12,000 to pay off my truck & I come up with $3,000 to close out the loan. It goes the same way with trading it in only instead of giving me the $12K they give it directly to the bank & the remainder is then rolled over into the new loan after the deduction of the trade in value from the new vehicle. Do NOT let these people screw with you finances or credit! Knowledge is power & the only way to make these dealers do what's right is to force your hand by refusing to do business with their lies & manipulations. read more

They didn't have the exact vehicle on their lot (I wanted a different color), but was able to get it for me one day later. The financing was seamless and the entire process to purchase the vehicle was much less hectic, and easier than I had expected. They gave me a great price on my trade in and was able to help me get the car I wanted, at a payment that I felt comfortable with. Obviously because the car was brand new, it was spotless, but Trisha sat with me as I registered my OnStar, went through all the controls on the car again, and told me if I ever had questions to call her. About 5 days after I purchased my car I got a call from the customer care department congratulating me on my new car, and checking if there was any questions they could answer for me and to see how I liked the new vehicle! I came in last Wednesday 8/8/18 to have the headliner replaced on my 2018 Chevy Trax. Julia assisted me with my service she told me the repair work would take a day & a half. However, she called me the same day to state my car was ready and the repairs had been completed. When I picked up my car I thought everything was fine with the repairs. The next morning I'm driving and I notice the head liner had dirty finger prints all over the drivers and passenger sides of the headliner and the panel to close the sunroof. Also it was poorly cut at the edge where the windshield meets. There were also hand prints all over the windshield. I also noticed the passenger side panel that houses the air bag was not attached back on. I called Julia back to tell her this needed to be repaired. At this point she told me oh yea the clips are on back order. And I'll get a call when the clips come in. Not once did she mention this when she called to tell me my car was ready. Then I found a screw in the compartment near the charging ports. I don't know where this came from. Needless to say I'm not a satisfied customer with the work that was done to my car. read more
