My friends and I stopped by this store while we were walking around Glendale mall. They didn't have any signs outside but I saw the grand opening sign so I believe they just moved location. What first stood out to me was the Halloween decorations which looked awesome. Then I saw some polarized 3D picture that can change depending on which position you look at it. The Goku 3D polarized picture and Messi/Ronaldo 3D picture looked amazing. Their Funko Pop price are almost the same at other stores just like a penny less. They have a sign that said no backpack or bags in the store. The employee were pretty nice to us when we walked in, they told me the prices for the polarized 3D pictures and their current deal. read more

Darn, I really consider whether doing this or not, but congratulations on earning my first review with one start. I usually try to understand if the place it's having a bad day but what we saw it's UNACCEPTABLE. Long story short; worker ask us more than 3 times if we needed help and told us they get commission if we buy something. We finally decided what to buy, then we noticed a Mother with her kid at the register, and the manager telling her "well this is a really expensive toy, what do you expect, don't expect it to be cheap" and WOW just WOW, it was so awkward. Then we ask for a price for something inside the cabinets and the worker tell us it's $80 then manager jumps in and says "that's not the price , if you don't know the price then don't say it" he was extremely rude and arrogant towards the worker. The worker told us he was new and he didn't know. I can't believe there's people who are part of management who act like this towards the workers and customers, like what???? Terrible experience. Clerks had no clue about the sale that was posted on Instagram and spent 10 minutes reading the post before providing the listed price. They then charged a tip without telling me that raised the price back up to the "regular" price which I didn't know about until I got my credit card bill. Service is terrible. The owner is often rude and not helpful which deters us from buying anything. Me and my boyfriend come to this shop often to see their selections. My boyfriend would ask the owner questions about certain pops but the owner acted like he didn't want to answer or help us. Store has very little to no selection and overpriced ordinary pieces . We were also profiled while we were there , as my boyfriend was exiting the shop I saw the owner follow him out clearly trying to see what we had in our bags , he was the only Latino there among white people . And he was only following us around during the time we were there . I had just witnessed a white child and mother return because the child had stolen something from the store but I guess that wasn't enough for him to learn his lesson . We got Pokémon EVOS (!!!) And our pikachu and eevee go special collection from Marvyn and his fellow coworkers. They're really helpful and funny, and made the process so easy. I learned a whole lot about the packs and such. Definitely would come back, very comfortable here. I am not local so the drive here was actually worth it! I think the prices are reasonable considering the high demand and low supply of Pokémon's right now. We'll come back for sure! Exploitative pricing - this place is for clueless parents to drop $$$ for Funko Pop that is priced up to 3~4 times the going price. They do have a lot of rare pieces, and the selection is thoughtful - I have to admit, the management knows what will catch the audience's eyes, and what will sell - but the pricing alone drags the entire experience down. It was along the lines of "if you don't buy this product, you are stupid" and "why are you living in the past? we're living in the now. buy this product if you want to live in the now." Initially the moment you walk in, your jaw literally drops. They have one of the best varieties and organized displays of Funko pops I've ever seen aside from Funko Hollywood itself. That's where the buck stops. Their prices are ridiculously high. You might as well buy pops off of eBay with pricey shipping and you'll still make out better than this establishment. The prices are double and even triple of what the ppg values are. I understand profit margins, but their asking prices are nothing short of the word absurd. Also, every time I picked up a figure the clerk working there would go up to me and ask if they could hold it for me as if they're doing me a courtesy. When in fact they're afraid I'm going to steal them. I've never stolen anything in my life and I was a little bit offended they did this not once, not twice but THREE times. I suppose if you have the money and you're looking for particulars to finish sets, you could patronize this place. But any collector with common sense isn't going to want to patronize a place where they think you're going to steal and they charge you a ludicrous amount of money. I did end up buying a few, which was probably a mistake. I walked out of the store feeling as though my credit card had been involuntarily copulated. I would have fared wayyyyy better on whatnot or Mercari. Don't let the impressive display fool you, this place is passable. You're better off going to Box Lunch, GameStop and Hot Topic. On my first visit, I would have given this place 4 stars since the staff was friendly yet the Pops here are EXTREMELY overpriced (think eBay scalper prices). I got a few common Pops at a decent price, but when it came to the rarer or sold-out ones their prices were ridiculous. For example, I asked about the price for a 10" Pop and it was $86 while it was trending online for $45. What...a... rip-off!!!! The selection of Pops is awesome though, but the real reason I'm giving this place such a low rating was for my subsequent visit. On my second visit, I happened to be in the area and wanted to check the store out again. Everything was fine and dandy until I saw another customer come in and asked the owner about a rare Pop... the owner pretty much made him feel like a poor person and asked him, "You do know that Pop is $500, right?" "Are you sure?" I have never heard such condescending and patronizing words come from an owner. He pretty assumed that he couldn't afford the items. What a jerk!!! I was immediately put off by this conversation and was planning on buying two Pops, but left instead. I don't plan on coming back to this store. All they care about is profits and are not true enthusiasts. Not only are they condescending, but they rip people off here and scalp the rarer Pops at crazy prices. BUYER BEWARE! If you don't know about Funko pops and their prices DO NOT SHOP HERE You will get played and taken advantage of!!! I was at this store two times total. And I have to say I will never step foot on this establishment again. They have a huge pop selection but at extremely overpriced costs, rare or exclusive pops also are damaged. I have spoken to several pop collectors and they have ALL had bad experiences at this location. I just wanted to write a warning for other people who come into this store. Please do your research before you purchase your pops. They double or maybe even triple the prices on their funko pops. I was surprised even with their commons they will mark up drastically. They even had a 3 funko pops for $27 wall set up but for some reason there will be other funko pops that won't be applied to that sale. I totally get that some pops are hard to find but their prices are ridiculous. I'm losing fate on these reseller stores because they prey on people who are new to collecting funko pops. If I could give them zero stars I would! Very overpriced and they state that everything is rare or hard to get but honestly it really isn't. The manager and the owner both have very bad vibes to them and the managers doesn't leave anyone alone. He will literally follow you around the store and keep staring that their Funkos are rare, which they aren't. Also if you tell Them that they are very overpriced, they will both start somewhat attacking you and stating that that is false when honestly it is not. Most of their Funko's can be found online and different stores for a cheaper price. They first get you when you walk in and they tell you that they're funkos or three for 25. So you start selecting a whole bunch that you like and you take it to the register and ask how much does says they tell you an absurd price. Then you ask how is this possible and they tell you that you chose specialty and rare Funko's which mind you this is not a true statement it's completely false I can find the same funkos selected at a different store for $10. Also none of the employees know the actual prices of these at Funkos, they literally come up with a number right then and there. They also start acting weird because they don't want you to hear the conversation that they are having between them of the overpricing happening. I even told the guy that they should price everything and that they should separate what is on specialty and what is not and he claimed that they did not have time which I believe is a scam just to get you to select a whole bunch thinking that their specialty and then get up charged. Not recommended at all unless you're willing to get normal not rare Funko's at a very high price. Check out a different store and a smaller store check out stores online. SWINDLERS IS THE WORD I WOULD USE FOR THIS STORE. I've never been so angry at a funko pop store. I have been in this store multiple times, I've brought my friends and family to shop here. I NEVER read the reviews. My sister was buying the legend of korra funko pops and the sign right next to the funko pops say 3 FOR 25.99, so she bought 3 of them but not the main character korra (shes more expensive because shes a exclusive). The employee tells us that he would give us the 3 for 25 deal and my sister also buys a shirt. She paid and got her receipt and realised her total was 72. When she told me I grabbed her receipt and realised that there was a added charge. So not only did we pay for all 3 funko pops but there was a 5 dollar added charge for all 3 of them. First off this is for the Northridge location that just re opened. Avoid this store at all cost. We wanted an item and was told the price and then as I am checking out he hands me the receipt with a higher price because he told us OH that's rare. You can't change prices after you have told the customer an exact price. Now no refund but can exchange but for the price I paid which was higher. Seriously avoid this shop. When I called and asked why again he said that's just the price now and that item he decided is rare. Avoid avoid avoid. Saw this store while on my way to Macy's decided to pop in. Friendly staff. Took the time to answer my questions about cards. I got back into the hobby of collecting sports cards and Pokémon again recently. Was feeling nostalgic so chose to buy a Pokémon Evolutions booster pack (bit pricey but that's the game now I guess with all the hype, $35 a pack). He laid out the packs they had and let me choose the one I wanted. Ended up pulling a secret rare Dragonite EX, which was funny because I shuffled the cards and inadvertently flashed it to the guy, so he already knew what was coming. (He was super excited, probably more than I was lol, cool dude I could tell he was a real fan/collector) Manager was nice enough to give me a hidden fate sleeve to put the card into for protection. Bought some top loaders, popped it into one of those. Overall great experience. read more

Horrible business, a scam really I can't in looking for some dragon ball stuff for my kid I found a small 2 inch plastic keychain, thinking it would be like 5 bucks max, nope $15 dollars for a little tiny plastic keychain. Whatever I kept a looking around and found a small mystery dragon ball with mini toy inside, again I assumed it would be about 5 bucks...NOPE! $15 bucks The weird thing is that none of the employees knew the prices they yelled across the store to The owner who them came looked at the item and said "ummmmm...that's $14.99" and followed that with a " those are hard to find" seems to me that every single item in his store is "hard to find" ridiculous prices on the pops too... and to finish it off I checked to see if I can find the mystery dragon ball minis on Amazon and sure enough I found a 6 PACK of them for $20, just 5 dollars more than what they charge for 1. I will never buy a single item from here and I'm glad I didn't pay $15 for that little mini dragon ball. The prices are superrr exploitative and the workers are in cahoots with their own pricing. I asked what the price of a simple lanyard was and they told me $17. For a lanyard with no keychains or anything. So I passed, and later on I saw the same one at Tokyo Lifestyle for $3. They were also selling "posters" that I can only describe as pictures glued onto school project foam boards. The images were just super compressed and the blur around the edges on some of them were obvious. It was also obvious that their way of hiding it was by adding a glossy finish, but that didn't work. Still blurry. And the price for these foam boards? For small ones (about 9 by 12 inches) $25 each. For the larger ones (15 by 20, I wanna say) $60 each.
