If you are anywhere near Burbank and into TCGs or sports cards, LA Sports Cards is the absolute best spot to go. I've been coming here ever since my dad and I started getting back into collecting Pokémon cards, and it has quickly become our go-to shop. The atmosphere here is always fantastic, but what really makes this place top-tier is the staff. A massive shoutout to Daniel, Marvin, and Luis! They are always incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and have been so genuinely helpful whenever we come in to handle sales or figure out trades. They always shoot straight and treat us fairly, which is something you really appreciate when navigating the hobby. Beyond just the great customer service, we've had some insane luck here. The absolute highlight was when my dad actually pulled a MEGA DREAM god pack from a purchase we made at this location! We were absolutely losing our minds. It's unforgettable memories like that which make collecting together so much fun, and I'm so glad it happened with product from our favorite local spot. Small little trading card shop over near the border of Glendale and Burbank. I believe this is the satellite location of their much larger store in Burbank. This one is on the second floor of a two-story commercial building. Not sure if there's parking in the back, so I just park out front off of Glenoaks. Stairs are on the side of the building. Inside is nice, tidy and neatly organized. Not too much singles for sale, especially for baseball, and most of it is Pokemon cards. But they have a nice selection of boxed sports cards for reasonable prices. Bought a 2023 Topps Baseball Chrome Logofractor box and pulled an absolute monster of a card (see pic). This place is seriously great. The owner is super cool and always lets us hang out and play games, which makes it feel more like a hangout spot than just a store. This is gonna be my honest review of the Glendale location specifically. The main reason I come here is for Pokemon singles, not sealed product. I give this place a five stars for customer service, variety of item/singles, and great prices on singles. AJ is great. He's upbeat and friendly which helps with the vibes and shopping experience. This is important to me because I'm sometimes browsing for 30 minutes at a time comparing prices to market and seeing which cards I want to pick up. If I have to stand there and deal with someone who makes me feel unwanted, I'll just go to TCGplayer or eBay. But AJ makes me enjoy coming in, chatting while I look at what I want and has lots of patience. I've seen him do this with other customers as well connecting with his clients and promoting a fun place to shop. One thing I will never understand is dudes working at places like this with the most annoying expressions and attitudes at some of these other card shops. Like bro if you hate working there so much get a different job or go to school. Maybe some people don't care but I'll literally go somewhere else if the vibes are unpleasant. Since AJ knows how to work customer service, I come by pretty often to buy singles. Now in terms of stock and variety, there's a lot here. They have sports, One Piece, Pokemon and more. I come by once or twice every week to buy stuff and I always find something I like. Whether you're looking for sealed product or individual cards, the selection is always nice. I've gotten some really cool cards I didn't expect to see like the Mars full art. I feel like every time I visit, there's more cards to get which just shows how often AJ will stock cards. Pricing for Pokemon singles specifically is fair most of the time. I usually walk out with anywhere from 5-10 cards on average per visit after I see which ones are priced according to market. What I like about getting my cards from a shop in person is avoiding paying for a card that's in bad condition. Sometimes people online will market a card as NM but it's scratched up or damaged. I enjoy being able to is inspect the cards before I buy so I can be sure I'm happy about the condition it's in. I've been 100% satisfied with all my purchases so far here because I can look at them and decide if they're worth getting. Now this part can be a little controversial just because of how the market is for Pokemon especially. If your goal is to find cheap or MSRP sealed Pokemon product, this isn't the place to come. As much as I love this store, I'd rather be upfront about what to expect so people have realistic expectations of what they have to offer here instead of just hyping it up. Blame who you wanna blame but the facts are that distribution is definitely raising prices which leads to shops also having to increase prices for sealed stuff. The hype is just too crazy right now and it seems everyone wants a cut of the profits. With that being said, some of the prices for product is definitely crazy and above market so I refuse to pay it just out of principle. The only sealed products I buy from here are things that are fairly priced according to market or even MSRP which is rare but can happen due to popularity of certain sets and products. I've gotten some packs that were a good deal or priced at market but generally some items will be marked up. Overall I enjoy my experience at this location specifically and look forward to every visit. I have different feelings about the other location because they are better in some areas but worse in others that really discourages me from coming as often. I'd highly recommend at least stopping by and seeing if this shop is for you, especially if you enjoy buying individual cards. read more

Went here to get a birthday gift. Location wasn't convenient and when we got there the door was locked with a sign that said be back in 15. i usually like what they have (even though it is expensive) but today we didn't even get a chance to go in.
