TL;DR (brought to you by ChatGPT) I was explicitly given a set time to line up, respected that instruction, and was then disadvantaged because other customers ignored that instruction. I want to preface by saying a couple of things: 1. I am not a regular customer/local at this store but I do expect to be treated with respect for my time. 2. I do not expect any special treatment from this store but I do expect to be treated with respect for my time. 3. I do believe that locals should have priority to release events even if that means that I don't get to participate in a release event. HOWEVER, I do expect to be treated with respect for my time. 4. This store was quoting their regular customers $400 for a OP17 Booster Box which is more than 3x the retail price. On 8/7/26, I successfully registered for the OP17 PreRelease event scheduled for 8/24/26. Prior to the event, I noticed that the store had left a note on the event page stating the following: "First Come First serve, in person sign ups only day of. Successful sign ups through app does not guarantee participation". This means I would not have a confirmed spot for the event. Unfortunately, this situation is very common for pre-release events where a store will not honor registrations on the Bandai App for various reasons (prioritize local players, customers, etc.). I have personally benefitted from this situation at my local store(s) so I am not playing victim here. I recognize that this is just how things work and it is out of my control. So, I decided to reach out over the phone in order to explore my options for in person sign ups. The employee told me that the line for in person sign ups would start on the day of the event at 5:30pm and that there were 10 participants already on the list who were local players. Out of 32 players, that means 22 players would be admitted from the line. I drove over and arrived around 3:45pm to speak with the staff about specific details regarding the line. The same employee who received my phone call (asian guy) told me that the line would start outside on the eastbound side of the store at 5:30pm. Out of respect for the employee and the store (as a non regular customer / non- local), I decided not to start lining up PRIOR to 5:30pm and left with the intention of lining up AT 5:30pm. I did drive by the store a couple of times around 4:45pm and 5:00pm to check if there was a line forming. There was no line OUTSIDE. At 5:30pm, I parked my car and approached the store. There was no line OUTSIDE. I walked into the store and there was approximately 30-40 people standing in a loosely formed line on the opposite side of the front desk. I approached the employee (asian guy) who I spoke to earlier to figure out what was going on. He explained to me that there were people who lined up OUTSIDE PRIOR TO 5:30pm and that his manager told him to bring them inside of the store due to heat exhaustion. My guy. I am not debating the fact that it was 105 degrees outside. I am debating the fact that YOU EXPLICITLY TOLD ME THAT THE LINE WOULD NOT START PRIOR TO 5:30PM AND YET YOU HONORED THE PEOPLE WHO CAME BEFORE 5:30PM. I hate using the word gas-lighting (because it's what my ex-girlfriend used to do to me when I told her I loved her) but I truly felt like I was being gas-lit. But I digress. It's just cardboard right? If that wasn't bad enough, there was another person who appeared to be a regular customer (who probably showed up to store on a weekly basis) that was not only denied entry to the event.... they were offered a booster box for $400 which is more than 3x the original retail price. Just to put this into perspective, at my local store(s) where I shop frequently and play weekly, I was offered a box for $130 plus tax. This is not how you should be treating people who support your store. Working people who spend their hard earned money to pay your employees. Just a really nasty, disappointing experience overall. If you want to support a TCG store that treats you with respect (even if you aren't a local) and will give you a fair shot at product for retail price, go to Wild Card Cyclone / ProjectCCG / Crimson Guild!

    Product selection is immaculate!

If you're a MtG player, this has been a wonderful hidden gem to play at on Tuesday nights. The staff here have been wonderful - they patiently searched for my list of cards I needed for a deck I was building and even given gave me tips on which cards I would be better off not getting or including in it.

Got all of this for $236 USD at Legacy Comics and Cards in Glendale!

I have been buying at this TCG/comic store ever since I started collecting Pokémon cards almost 7 years ago. They always have a lot of product for Pokémon from ETBs to regular packs, they even have a good selection of single cards. Today I decided to buy 2 singles from the set Paldea Evolved, the prices for the singles were really good (slightly under market prices). The only problem is how firm they are on prices and how expensive the sealed product is. I also bought 2 chaos rising ETBs that are worth $87 USD at the time of this review and purchase but they were at $95 so I asked if they could move the price to $90 since a bought 2, which is very fair. The man who was helping me out told me they were firm and wasn't very helpful. I feel like he could at least try to call the owner or manager to ask about changing the price. I saw a review that said they were able to call the owner and help with the price. A little bit disappointed because I'm a regular at Legacy. Additionally I feel like they should have more slabs (graded cards) because they only had 3 low level Japanese slabs. Something that does really help with the price is the point system that is really good and I think I must have already saved $50 to $100 thanks to it. I would recommend that the owner would give the employees a certain amount of discounts percentage they can offer or tell the employees to let him know if someone offers a lower price. Overall this card store is really good and I would put 4.5 stars if I could. Just keep in mind my recommendations. -Approved by James R.

New Location! Really clean and open. Lots of space for games. Welcoming for someone who is new to this world. Like most comic shops, back issues are gone which is sad. One of my favorite activities is searching through long boxes for the lost gem or issue you need to complete the run. I also understand that they take up space and don't bring in as much money as cards/games. They have a discounted trades section which is nice and a little display case for some of the big boy books. There is a QR code to look at their full selection. Can park across the street in giant lot then walk around downtown Glen-Dale(Pitbull)

    CGC comics for sale...

I love the new store. The aisles are not as cramped on Wednesdays, and there's much more space to maneuver. But where are the back issues? Or even the specialty oversized editions? Most of the space seems to be given to the card side, so tables seem to take a majority of the space. Also, the top shelf of comics seem inaccessible for those of us just browsing. Otherwise the staff is pretty helpful and very welcoming. New comics are in abundance and I love that they stock variant covers and incentives (while supplies last) more so than many other comic stores.

This store handled a signing event with clear incompetence and poor planning. They advertised an RSVP event for 350 guests but failed to deliver, leaving attendees waiting up to 8 hours. After people had already waited 6+ hours, they changed the rules mid-event, which was completely unacceptable for any paid or ticketed experience. On top of that, the comics sold for the event were not properly checked for quality, with many arriving in visibly imperfect condition despite being sold at $30-$75 each. Customers paid for an organized signing experience and instead got delays, rule changes, and poor product quality. Responsibility was also placed on the CGC facilitators, who had to manage frustrated attendees without proper support from the store instead of witnessing the signing inside. This event was mismanaged from start to finish, and the store should be held accountable for failing to deliver what was promised. They advertised an RSVP event for 350 guests but failed to deliver on that promise. Many attendees were left waiting for hours, some up to 8 hours, only to have the event rules changed after they had already been in line for more than 6 hours. That is completely unacceptable and shows poor planning and disregard for customers' time. To make matters worse, the books sold specifically for the event were not properly checked for quality. A large portion had visible imperfections and could not reasonably be considered near mint. Selling subpar products at event pricing only adds to the frustration. Customers were asked to spend $30-$75 per book, yet many did not even receive the signing they paid and waited for. Instead of addressing the situation properly, staff shifted the burden onto the CGC facilitator, who had to deal with frustrated customers and communicate last-minute rule changes, something that should have been handled by the store itself. Howard, Legacy Comics and Cards, Dan Quintana, and along with the event organizers, need to take accountability for this experience. If you are going to host large-scale signing events, you must be prepared to execute them properly. At a minimum, affected customers deserve compensation for the poor service and unfulfilled promises.

Fortunately almost all the colorful items were in glass covered display cases. The thing I loved was that at the checkout stand there were free items such as catalogs and sheets of stickers for the children.
