Been here on a few occasions & was met with ZERO help. I even called here the other day to check if they had a card which I later found out they actually did have in stock. Which was a $250 I was willing to buy at price & when I called to check if they still had it, I was told "no I can't check for you.. there are too many cards in the display" I'm sorry what are you doing with your lazy self in a lonesome card shop in which I've never seen more than 2 customers in. Just lazy, incompetent and ill informed employees. Do better. This is such a stark contrast to this companies other shop on Olive in Burbank where the staff has been beyond friendly, helpful & informative. Sad to say, I wouldn't bother myself going back here unless there is significant change in service

I've been coming here ever since my dad and I started getting back into collecting Pokémon cards, and it has quickly become our go-to shop. The atmosphere here is always fantastic, but what really makes this place top-tier is the staff. A massive shoutout to Daniel, Marvin, and Luis! They are always incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and have been so genuinely helpful whenever we come in to handle sales or figure out trades. They always shoot straight and treat us fairly, which is something you really appreciate when navigating the hobby. Beyond just the great customer service, we've had some insane luck here. The absolute highlight was when my dad actually pulled a MEGA DREAM god pack from a purchase we made at this location! We were absolutely losing our minds. It's unforgettable memories like that which make collecting together so much fun, and I'm so glad it happened with product from our favorite local spot. Whether you're a seasoned collector looking to make some big trades or just getting back into it like my dad and I, I cannot recommend LA Sports Cards enough. Best shop in the area!

This one is on the second floor of a two-story commercial building. Not sure if there's parking in the back, so I just park out front off of Glenoaks. Stairs are on the side of the building. Inside is nice, tidy and neatly organized. Not too much singles for sale, especially for baseball, and most of it is Pokemon cards. But they have a nice selection of boxed sports cards for reasonable prices. Bought a 2023 Topps Baseball Chrome Logofractor box and pulled an absolute monster of a card (see pic). AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS. I made a huge mistake coming…read morehere. The location felt sketchy from the start, but l ignored the red flags because I trusted them with my cards. Biggest mistake I could've made. I brought 23 cards in for cleaning. While a couple came back cleaned, 1 am convinced at least 4 of my cards were swapped out. There were no receipts, no documentation on their end, and absolutely zero accountability for what was handed over versus what was returned. The only reason I believe I got my Shadowless Blastoise back is because I had picture proof and personal records of the card before bringing it in. If I didn't, I honestly don't think I would have seen it again. The entire experience was stressful and uncomfortable. Tony acted shady throughout the process, he held onto the red cheek, Pikachu and the Misty the entire time and I thought he was going to do a good job on cleaning those two cards instead one look like it wasn't touched, and the other one looked like it was swapped because as you could see in the picture, I did not have a bend in the corner and when I mentioned my banned Misty card, he immediately offered to buy it from me. That instantly raised major red flags. To make matters worse, the pack I purchased from them appeared resealed. Between the suspicious behavior, lack of professionalism, poor record keeping, and complete lack of trustworthiness, I would strongly warn collectors to stay far away from this shop. Please do your research and read reviews before trusting any shop with valuable collectibles. I'm seriously considering filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because customers should never have to worry about their cards being tampered with, swapped, or mishandled. Don't make same mistake as me BUYER BEWARE. Also some of the good reviews on this place are fake made by the owner don't go here

When the urge to buy comics struck, I would default to the Pasadena stores - you know the ones - and man was that a mistake. I used to be an avid collector in the 90s, and Bali Books in Alhambra was my sanctuary. Every other store, no matter how good the selection, just felt impersonal. I recently decided to start reading issues in real time instead of waiting for TPBs, and of course that meant I needed a pull list. One stop at Comics VS Toys and dammit I feel like a 12 year old all over again. The owner, Ace, immediately took my requests and helped fill in some recent back issues I missed out on. Luckily my current list is staggered and I have a legitimate excuse to pick up my stack every week. And the staff is awesome, like your favorite neighborhood bar tenders. See ya next week! We're talking about a very small store where he sat in the back and could see people walk in. I can understand not pestering people who are shopping, but his actions are downright rude. When I asked about the hot wheels, did he get up and show them to me? No, he didn't from his seat at the far end of a store. He pointed as if he had a laser pointer on his finger, which, of course he did not. I was on my way to a party so I wasn't really interested in looking over his cars to try to find the area I had to ask him three times he never did get up. I found out later his five dollar cars go for $1.50 at Ralph's. When I recommend this place? Hell no unless you like terrible service and high prices. I don't understand why he's still in business. Maybe it's a front for something else.
