I have a fairly stressful life, and Dr. Shindler suggested that I give it a go to help relieve stress. Well after my first session, I was driving home, hit a TON of traffic on I-275, and it didn't bother me in the least. It was the strangest feeling in the world - like someone took my mean friend away, and I didn't realize how mean that little guy was until he was gone. I have had reflexology in the past, and thought, "sure this is a nice foot massage", but that is not what reflexology is in the least when you're with Ruth. It's just amazing, amazing work. She's passionate, perceptive, kind, and so so much more. I really don't have enough good words to say about Ruth. Give her a try, and you'll try to hunt me down to thank me for making your life awesome. Dr. Shindler is also awesome. He's very easy to talk to, and is open to different ways of healing, including hypnosis. I did hypnosis once, and he will make a recording of the session for you to do at home. This also helped me reduce stress levels - but obviously you can use hypnotism to help with a lot of different issues. Overall, there aren't enough words to express how thankful I am that this office is here... we so quickly brush off things like stress, and other life stuffs, and how they play a role in our health. We talked about what I needed and why. She was understanding of my late soulmate who stays close and is very protective. She asked EBS'S permission to work. She could even heard him. The session lasted 55 minutes. I came back a couple weeks later for a deep message therapy for the lower back and legs. This helped my legs more than anything else has. Afterwards she told me to rest and drink lots of water. I plan to come back again for the deep message therapy for the legs. There is no door to the room and when the  masseuse left the room more than once, the  curtain was not pulled all the way. No privacy. Masseuse wants  to be tipped as soon as you arrive. I told her that I will tip at the end. At the end I  was walking up to the car to get some cash to tip. The  masseuse ran  up  to me screaming asking why I did not tip her. I firmly told her to get back in and that I am getting her cash from the car to tip.  The massage itself was more like rubbing  your skin and there was no technique to the massage or any pressure. Save yourself  some time and money.

We opted for a 30 minute reflexology foot massage and it was outstanding! We then opted for a acupressure neck and shoulders massage- over our clothes. It was a bit aggressive but very good, finishing off with a hot moist towel applied to the neck and a little down the back under our shirts. I really liked it all however my friend found it too rough. There are "beds" as well for a more all over massage. I felt the effects for a couple weeks after. Pricing ends up a being about a dollar a minute. My friend and I have already made plans to make this a monthly visit.

I came in at my scheduled time, and was told that they were going to be running 10-15 minutes late. I understand that there are some times that things happen, and I'm okay with that. However, I feel like either they didn't pay attention to what was in the books, or something else was overlooked. It was almost a half hour after my scheduled appointment time before my massage started. When it came down to the actual massage, I can't even say it was really good. I had to continue to ask for harder pressure. I'd ask for harder pressure, and after a few strokes, it was gone. I had asked for her to concentrate on a few areas that seemed to be troublesome... and it just felt like it was blended in with the same massage that didn't really seem to focus on any of the spots that were aching. Maybe it was just the therapist I had.. but it just didn't get deep enough for my thoughts on a deep tissue massage.

I had a very unfortunate interaction with the owner. I had a less than satisfactory experience with…read moreone of the massage therapists, it was a very strange massage and was unlike anything I had previously experienced there. First the essential oils placed under my face gave me quite a migraine. I have a herniated disc in my neck which I acknowledge that sometimes that could be an issue but for me this has never been a problem during massages. For some reason she placed several, and I mean several, hot towels on my neck which was immediately pretty painful as this was heavy to be placed with heat on a herniated disc, no matter how healed. Then she quite literally covered me in lotion, like a ridiculous amount where I couldn't even get dressed, barely touched me and ran out of the room, almost before I could even ask her for a towel (I was literally drenched in lotion) and before the session was supposed to be over. So I was left in more pain plus a migraine with a shortened session and covered in lotion, and I did notice that she didn't greet me afterwards to offer me water and make sure I'm doing good like they usually do here. This was all very strange and bizarre, but I assumed maybe this had to do with inexperience and wanted to leave feedback as to why this wasn't the best experience, especially since this is a luxury service that wasn't cheap. The owner called me the next day, and she was genuinely one of the most hostile and unpleasant people I had ever talked to. I am not a confrontational person, and I do think I was being reasonable in leaving feedback. She called me and told me that there is absolutely no way that any of this happened, and that she "welcomes me to not return". I told her that this was unfortunate to hear because I had such positive experiences in the past there, to which she told me I didn't go there enough times to have that much of an opinion. She kept telling me that I am more than welcome to not return, and at this point I wasn't going to but I just wanted her to tell me directly that she was banning me from returning for having a negative experience. She was avoiding saying explicitly that I could not return, but she kept insisting I was welcome to go elsewhere. I told her I would probably leave a review of the situation, to which she said "well that's not very nice of you". I told her it's not very nice to ban me for expressing concerns with my session. She hung up the phone abruptly, and the next day another staff member called and offered to reschedule me with someone else. I politely declined. I also want to mention that the ramp to get in the door is extremely inaccessible, I am a wheelchair user and it's borderline hazardous the way it is oriented. If I am to open the door, I have to be on the ramp which is difficult, or the door will push me down the stairs. If you use a mobility aid or have chronic pain I would not recommend, not because of the staff but 100% because of the owner.
