Super scoops is a super sweet little ice cream shop in Treasure Island that took a scoop of my heart! First of all, I know they had a complete revamp of the building, the colors and murals and aesthetic and it WORKS. It is so adorable and caught my eye just driving past on the road before ever deciding to stop by. It's a very small shop so you really can't fit more than 5-6 people inside comfortably, but it's worth it. I tried a sorbet flavor- usually I don't go for sorbets but something fruity and refreshing sounded good and this couldn't have been a better choice. Surely one of the best sorbets I have ever tried! It was all about the texture- rather than the typical icy texture of most sorbets, this one was sticker, packed with tart watermelon flavor and it was fantastic. We tried to come back the next night just to have the sorbet again but it was so busy we wouldn't waited 30+ minutes, and though it would be worth it we had other stuff we wanted to get to. But this is such a great little lace across the road from the beach! There's a good amount of outdoor seating around back and in the front- it's cute, sweet, fun and tasty!

We found super scoops on Yelp with a simple search and decided to check it out due to how good the reviews were! I had the brownie sundae and it was delicious the warm brownie at the bottom of the cup and two scoops of my choice of ice cream. My wife had the raspberry sorbet and she loved it. The service was great and the ambience was inviting. We will definitely come back and eat more ice cream in the future!

This place is just pure fun. Zoltar greets you along with Lady Liberty gleefully hoisting a cone out front. The new tables and umbrellas for shade are colorful and have that old school Italian riviera and/or maybe 50s soda shop vibe. The new branding (mural, signage, etc) overall is an upgrade to what was already a super fun little spot. Lots of parking makes it a breeze to stop in for a quick treat. Tables were clean and napkins were ample. The array of flavors is great and the ice cream quality is equal to the price tag and the rest of the thoughtfully curated experience. Inside their staff has always been friendly and they stock everything you might need to induce a sugar high and/or instant cavities for the whole family, and I mean that in a good way. Their candy selection is a dentist's nightmare but the colorful nostalgia is worth it.

Great friendly place!!! The ice cream was excellent and a great sitting area outside. The 2 guys working were super nice and let our dog come in and gave her a pup cup which she loved! An unexpected surprise. The Cookie Monster ice cream was a hit as well as Gator tracks! Will definitely return.

love this place always come here every year w my family. you won't regret it! It's very small but super cute. The best thing to get there is a Strawberry Shortcake sundae. It is seasonal and only in the early spring time, but it is homemade soft serve vanilla ice cream with a warm biscuit and fresh strawberries. The workers are extremely friendly and the environment is very pleasant. read more

The sign out front says this was voted one of the top 5 ice cream parlors in the country and with good reason - this place is a keeper! Not only is it centrally located on Gulf Blvd but the family that runs it could not be kinder, friendlier folks who really care about their product and their customers. And that aroma of the freshly made waffle cones - yes for real they make their own waffle cones - this is what heaven must smell like! We discovered this little gem the first day of our vacation and went back every day. It was sad to say goodbye on our last day and I think we even suffered a bit of ice cream withdrawal if that is possible. Every day I ordered the salted caramel and it was honestly the best ice cream I have ever had. The perfect combination of salty and sweet. In addition to ice cream they also had hard to find nostalgic candy and other sweets to tempt your senses. We looked forward to our daily visits and interactions with the owners who really are the heart and soul of this business. It's evident that with every scoop a little bit of love also goes in your cone. They even have a huge map on the wall with markers for each country they have had customers from. How charming is that! Also they give you a punch card - buy 10 cones and get one free. Keep this card as it never expires. When we finally had to say goodbye we were only two punches away from that free cone. Reason alone to go back to Treasure Island! read more

This place is amazing! If I'm ever back in St. Pete's I will definitely be back. The coconut almond joy ice cream was refreshing while still satisfying my sweet tooth. My friends and I watched the sunset at Treasure Island beach and then walked to Super Scoop along a scenic beach route. The perfect end to a beach day! One of the best and nicest ice cream places near treasure island. The staff is SO super nice, I've known them for about 5 years and they've ALWAYS treated me and my family kindly. It's a family owned business, there's no other ice cream place like it. I always get 2 scoops crazy cake ice cream with marshmallow sauce on top and it's SO good, that's why 5 stars. Plenty of places to sit in front and back and it's very quiet around it. There's usually a longer line in the summer but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a long line in December too. Also not too expensive. read more

I see that I am the first reviewer! We were here during a recent trip to the gulf. Looking for a little something we stumbled upon Super Scoops. We walked to find a line (no surprise, after dinner, vacation spot). Two ice cream scoopers were scooping like crazy. One had an order of 5 strawberry shortcakes. They were apologetic for the wait and so sweet. Their positive attitude and fun temperament had all of us customers laughing and enjoying the wait. Seriously it was like we were all friends. As each customer received their dessert the customers would comment on it - oh I should've ordered that or that looks great. They took a few very hectic moments and put a smile on everyone's face. Now, for the taste test. I ordered a root beer float. As she made my drink I was thinking, ugh there is so much ice cream, I'm going to need a drink to wash it down. Then I see her open a bottle root beer, pour it in and handed me the float AND the bottle! . No one does that! My hubby ordered a yummy Sunday. If I ever get back there, I am ordering the Strawberry short cake Sunday. Seriously, fresh made shortcakeout of the pan. Love the attitudes of these two young (to me) folk. This place was such a treat on a rainy day during our vacation. We got a complimentary soft serve vanilla cup for my 18 month old, which I thought was super sweet. I got the toasted coconut and Cookie Monster in a waffle cup which was delightful. My husband got chocolate peanut butter which also was amazing. My son loves mint chocolate chip and he said it was the best he ever had. The owners were so sweet and made us feel so welcome! I hope to be back before our vacation is over. read more

This place was voted #3 in the nation by someone... not sure who. However, it is definitely great ice cream. Not much too the shop, but the ice cream is homemade and tasty. I had the "Captain Butterscotch," which was awesome. Prices were reasonable for the beaches. Definitely worth your visit! For those so inclined, they also have a good selection of 70s and 80s candy -- like Chuckles, Charleston Chews, Necco Wafers, Sugar Babies, etc. read more

My boyfriend and I just noted our last piece of goodness from Treasure Island, and it was ice cream from Super Scoops ! The amazing aroma of waffle cones being made filled the shop up with goodness...the amazing couple behind the counter filled our hearts and minds with sweetness! They have delicious unique flavors & the usuals too! Their scoops are definitely super scoop sized :) They also have a good stash of candy to buy, including some oldies. Very fun. This is a family owned shop ran by incredibly welcoming, & friendly faces. We come by to visit each time we are in Treasure Island, on vacation. They have a great little outdoor area to eat too. Don't go anywhere else for ice cream in Treasure Island. They have parking so you can walk to drive. The owners are so nice and are very patient with explaining all the flavors - and giving tastings. The ice cream is delicious. We come almost every night while on vacation. read more

Great little ice cream shop on Treasure Island that serves great big sundaes! I had the turtle sundae while my daughter had the brownie sundae. You get two huge scopes of your choice of flavors; I chose salted caramel and chocolate chip. Both were delicious! They top it off with great quality cream and of course a cherry on top! I come to this location several times a year during holidays & have always LOVED it so much! Tonight me & a group went & realized there were new owners. We were greeted by a man who was polite but meanwhile there was a young girl working who was arguing with him blatantly in front of customers. She was rude to my entire group about getting us checked out & then once leaving we all noticed that on each of our tabs she had selected to tip herself 20% on each of our four bills!! Without even asking or giving us any option to. The service is terrible now & that is what we used to go for. Sucks to say we won't be back. read more

We were so happy with how our family was treated from the moment we walked in the door! The young man working was incredibly kind and funny to our three year old and the rest of our family. The ice cream was phenomenal! My husband had the brownie sundae and was super impressed, I had the white chocolate raspberry in a waffle cone and it was to die for. The waffle cone tasted so fresh! Obsessed!!! The place is a million stars across the board. The people working, the cute independently owned feel and the ice cream is out of this world!!! When you walk up before you even enter you are taken back by the fragrance of them making fresh waffle cones! They have a huge selection from hard scoops to milk snacks. As well a a walk of candy. Our door seating as well as a few games to play. The raspberry white chocolate was absolutely delicious. Will come back again while we are in town. Also forgot to add the gentleman helping us was very nice in the middle of ordering my son needed the restroom and was nice and allowed us to take him durning the middle of ordering for the 4 of us. The other two staff ladies are super helpful being it was our first time. Thanks again for a nice treat. Super fast service don't let the long line scare you away! read more

Our family of 5 stopped in to check this place out based on the great reviews. We would have to agree!! 3 of us got two scoops of hard ice cream in a waffle cone, one got a milkshake and one got two scoops in a cup w topping. Total was approx $38. Ice cream was delicious. Very friendly folks working there and was very clean. We did wear masks and they did limit the persons allowed in the building to order. They have a few picnic tables under tiki type umbrellas in front and they also have an area behind the store with more available seating under cover. It did start to rain while we were inside so that was convenient! They have a punch card and after every 10th item, you get one free, bonus. We'd go back for sure!! read more

We specialize in selling the best products we can find. We serve Working Cow Ice Cream, which is a premium ice cream. We also sell Frozen Custard and Soft Serve as well as delicious Italian Ice, made by a company that's been in business for over 100 years. We make our own Hot Fudge, for our Sundaes, and Brownies from Ghirardelli Chocolate, and make fresh waffle cones daily. We bake and sell Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies. We also have a nice assortment of Nostalgia Candy to satisfy your sweet tooth. We are a family owned and operated business, and we treat our customers like they're part of the family. History

Established in 2009.

My husband and I moved to Florida from Connecticut 16 years ago and at that time we wanted to open an ice cream shop. We looked at a couple of shops that were for sale, but there was no parking, so we put that dream on hold and started another business. One day when my husband was on his way home, he saw the building that we are in for rent. It was an old Enterprise Rental building with loads of easy in easy out parking. He checked out the building and called to tell me that he thought we were going to be in the ice cream business. It took us three months to go through the change of use to make it into a food service building. During that time, we tasted every homemade ice cream out there to try to find the very best. We found a lot that were very good and a lot less expensive, but we always went back to Working Cow Homemade Ice Cream. They offer about 130 flavors with new ones coming out on a regular basis, and they're only about 15 minutes away.

My husband and I moved to sunny Florida from Connecticut 16 years ago and wanted to open an ice cream shop, We looked at a couple that were for sale and didn't take them because they didn't have any parking. It was a wise decision because they both went out of business. Several years later, my husband was coming home one day and saw the building we're in for rent. It was the old Enterprise Car Rental building with loads of parking. My husband made an appointment to see the building, and the rest is history. In the three months that it took to get permits and change the use of the building, we went out and tasted every homemade ice cream offered in the area. We always went back to Working Cow. It cost us a lot more than any of the others, but we felt that it was well worth the money. We decided that with so many ice cream shops in the area, we had to set ourselves apart from the rest by making our own hot fudge, brownies, and waffle cones, and give great service.

Not only did she help us by giving us suggestions of flavors we might like, but she also was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The owners are absolutely so nice ...it's like having your favorite grandparents dishing out ice cream for their favorite grandkids.
