Massive slice of pizza by the slice. Had the supreme with everything on it Ingredients were pretty good, nice sauce and cheese distribution Came out to 9.50 a giant slice If you want a snack, it's not for you because this is a whole meal. Pizza is reheated in less than 3 mins, very quick. They do have other smaller items like 6 or 9 inch hotdogs if that's up your alley

Went here for the first time and really enjoyed this pizza. I recommend this place because it was hella good, clean restaurant, excellent customer service, and great value.

After my 3rd visit in one year. I can say their peperoni slice pizzas are freaking good. Perfect crust, temperature is nice and hot, flavors are sp good, and juicy pizza. The hot dog's flavor was super good too.

This pizza tastes like memories of being a child eating pizza while watching the newest movies rented from Blockbuster. It's that good. I ordered the Caesar salad and the garlic chicken pizza. The pizza was cooked to perfection with a crunchy yet chewy dough. There's a very generous amount of chicken on this pizza as well as veggies. The drizzle of garlic sauce made every bite addicting. I want to try all the different toppings now!

"Alright, so there I am at Lorenzo's - loading up my slice from the fixin's bar.. garlic and what-not.. mmm,mmm.. and I see this guy over at the pizza boxes giving me the stink-eye." - Cosmo Kramer, Seinfeld Da Scene: This time opt'd to swing by and pick a few slices from the display case, just like in many spots in Brooklyn. They had like 6-7 pies to choose from, so I grabbed 3 to bring home. Da Grub: 1 slice each of Pep, Cheese, and Margherita, left them room temp from the case as we fire up the oven to 550 at home and toss the slices on a pizza steel for a quick 2 minutes... perfect crispy crust without drying out things. The Pep & Cheese ARE quintessential NYC style, just like neighborhood spots in Brookyln, Queens and the Bronx. I normally shy away from Margherita in this style slice (preferring more traditional Napolitano), especially when I see actual tomato slices on the pie... we were pleasantly surprised, they did this one well, very thinly sliced tomatoes along with fresh mozzarella and basil, pretty damn good. We kick it up a notch and sprinkle a little pecorino on all the slices. Da Service: Friendly dudes, bright, clean shop, good assortment of pies, walked right in @ 11:30 on a Saturday. Parking in the center was crazy, I waited it out So... my 1st time out, had whole pies which were just ok. This time slices that were ON POINT. Upping my rating for their slices and will stick w/ those for now, it IS a Super Slice.

Made-to-order pizza crust is completely different than the crust on the individual slices -- a lot thicker

First off, I'll start by saying that I've visited Super Slice twice. The first time I visited, we ordered a pre-made slice that was incredibly delicious and hit all our NY-style pizza cravings (my girlfriend is from NY). The cheese was great, the crust was great! Going off of our first experience, we decided to go backs second time to buy a whole pizza. We also brought along another friend (also from NY) who was craving pizza. We ordered a medium pizza to take home and enjoy but unfortunately our second experience did not match our first. The crust was so much thicker than the individual slices at the restaurant. It was almost like Domino's pizza or Digiorno style pizza crust... our friend from NY was really disappointed. So perhaps it was our bad to have assumed that this was NY style pizza, but just wanted to call out that the pizza styles between the pre-made slices and the made-to-order pies are completely different. Your experience may vary, but just wanted to let you know you might be getting something different if you order a freshly made pizza (compared to what you see in the pizza window). Sadly, we thought this would be our go-to pizza spot for large parties, but due to the thick crust, we will be sticking to the individual slices going forward.

Eager to try a new local spot, I stopped off here to pick up a quick lunch for the family. It was fast and convenient to pick out what everyone likes - cheese, pepperoni, combo and jalapeño slices, and then they were popped into the oven to warm up to a perfect eating temperature. The lobby is a simple set up and had soda and ice cream available for grab and go, and there were some small salads stored up front. The pizza was ok, but it seemed that the dough was ready made and the cheese tasted processed. Did my children eat it? Absolutely! Would I go back? For something quick and easy for my family to eat - yes. If they had a few chairs and tables available, I could easily see a quick stop after a baseball game to grab a bite. If you're looking for something gourmet, this is not your stop. However, the staff was friendly and fast, and I was out the door in less than 10 minutes with a decent lunch.

My little sister has been wanting me to take her here since she first saw the signs after driving in the area last year. I finally took her for lunch last week. She said "They deserve 5 stars. This pizza is amazing." Lol She really enjoyed it and was amazed by how big the slices are. I like that the crust is thin.

Dropped in here on my way from one doctors appointment for my son to the second. We agreed for pizza for lunch so I looked for something relatively close to his second appointment and super slice pizza popped up. Totally a small gem on San Pablo ave what I have driven past on multiple occasions. There's a bunch of little places that may be interesting in this little strip what I have passed dozens of times. The place is not much. There are ready slices or you can order your own whole pie. The menu is not much clearly inflation has made them change there original pricing and with the fluctuations in food costs I am sure it's been hard them to land on a consistent price. There is no seating no soda fountain. Everything is grab and go I got a meat and veggie combo slice and my son got a pepperoni slice. Theses slices are massive we could have shared a slice for how big these slices are. My son said they he enjoyed his slice and I loved mine. We are already talking about going back and taking my other son as well when it's not a doctor appointment filled day

We stopped in early on a Friday evening and were seated right away. The space has a great, casual vibe with plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor tables for nicer weather. Our server was friendly and checked in to see if we had any questions (we didn't), and we got drinks started right away--a local beer from Faction and a Black Basil cocktail. Both came out quickly and were solid. For food, I went with one of their signature pies--the All-Star deep dish. It's loaded with bacon, meatballs, sausage, pepperoni, and cheese... and it's massive. I always go for the 12" because it easily turns into 4-5 meals (no regrets there). My wife built her own gluten-free pizza with a thin crust and really enjoyed it. One thing I appreciated: even though deep dish takes longer to cook, both pizzas came out at the same time, which isn't always easy to do. They also offer a good variety of salads, starters, and sandwiches, which all sounded great--but I was here for the pizza. Overall, great service, excellent food, and a relaxed atmosphere. The meatball is sliced so the sandwich is on the thin side. Overall, the nice gooey cheese, grilled garlic roll and meatball created a pretty good sandwich. They have a good menu with pizzas, sandwiches and salads. I plan to drop in again but will try the pizza and see if it is as good as the sandwiches. Ordered slices of pepperoni, Julian, and Spinaci Aglio. All were amazing. Thin, crisp crust, tangy pizza sauce, good olive oil, great cheese pull. Simple ingredients coming together for a satisfying and piping hot bite. Pepperoni drips with the golden orange oil, characteristic of a solid pep slice. Spinaci has just enough garlic that works perfectly with the mild spinach. The star of Julian is the near crunchy kale complemented by pops of sausage. Place your order inside and pick up at the window just outside when they call out your order. Beware that parking may be hard to find as it's right off the street although there is a lot just down the road. The inside is very bare bones, which in this case is a good sign. The smell of the oven and dough just hits you once you step in and it's fantastic. Ordering was quick and easy and the slices are priced a bit high but for the quality of pizza we'd say it was worth it. We got some classic slices and also their fungi slice. From ordering to eating it took about 5-10 minutes despite a few people ahead of us so it was relatively quick. And now time to try it... man was it good. It's clearly a good representation of NY style. The crust is firm and crunchy but the pizza has a nice flop to it. The cheese is tasty with a good sauce under it too. The fungi also popped with flavor from the mushrooms, parsley, and olive oil; just a great series of slices. The best place to eat it is probably the bench seating they have outside but it may be full as a heads up. As far as we see it, GIOIA is a must stop in Berkeley. It came very highly recommended and was devoured in less than 5 minutes. We almost wish we didn't have plans to eat later that day because we could've eaten 2 more slices each then and there. This is as close to true NYC style pizza as you can get outside of NYC.
