I have been a loyal paying customer of Super Star Car Wash for several years, which is why this experience was so disappointing. The employee who assisted me was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional from the moment I asked for help. Rather than trying to resolve my concern, he acted annoyed and treated me with a complete lack of respect. As a long-time customer who has faithfully paid for a membership for years, I expected much better service. What was even more disturbing was that during our interaction, the employee struck my driver's side window multiple times with his cell phone while speaking to me. He hit the window three separate times, which I found intimidating, aggressive, and completely unacceptable. No customer should ever be treated that way. I have never experienced this level of poor customer service at any business. Management should seriously address this employee's behavior and provide proper customer service training before another customer is treated the same way. I am extremely disappointed and am now reconsidering whether I should continue paying for a membership after years of supporting this company. read more

Fast! I haven't had my car washed in a minute, so I had low expectations from some build up, and after a 4 minute wash, I was right. A lot of the pollen I had built up on my car, also, when first entering the wash with the service person at the start, there's so much going on that I didn't even know what to do until they told me I had to put the car in Neutral. Other than that, had I had a consistently washed car, it probably would have been really good. But that's to be seen, will come back in a month or two to check it out again. read more

The vehicle ahead of me was paying cash, but the staff members couldn't process the payment in the machine. One of the lanes was closed, and the only open lane was reserved for members. The customer service was the worst I've experienced! I won't be buying a membership or returning to this location. It was a complete waste of time! read more

Recently they have a young man who claims to be the manager named Joshua working with customers as they're choosing their car wash. He has been very sarcastic, confrontational and rude. Very disappointed with the lack of communication. None of the vacuums were working, yet there was no sign before or after entering the car wash letting customers know. Instead, every customer had to wait in line and ask an employee, who repeated the same explanation that the vacuums had "blown up yesterday." Had I known the vacuums were out of service, I would have gone somewhere else instead of waiting in a long line for a car wash when I couldn't vacuum the inside of my car. This is easily preventable. Put up temporary signs and communicate with customers until the issue is resolved. It would save your employees from repeating the same explanation all day and create a much better customer experience. read more

I went to Superstar Car Wash this morning as I have every week for the past four years I have owned my car and the equipment wasn't working properly my car speed up even though I was in neutral did not have my foot on the gas or the brake as I always know how to do when I go for a car wash. My car speed up into the car in front of me and smashed into the bumper The woman whose car it was said the same thing happened to her and she had to press her brake hard to to avoid not going into the car in front of her. The people who work there took no responsibility they yelled at me saying it was my fault that if I didn't share my information with the driver in front of me he was going to call the police and threaten me with a hit and run it was not my fault at all it was the fault of the equipment there were three drivers that's that morning that the same thing happened to unbeknownst to me at the time the same thing happened to my husband this morning at the same car wash again they were not willing to take any responsibility blamed me for what happened and were rude obnoxious and unhelpful is an understatement. I love how shiny my car looks when I come here! As you drive up, you are handed a cleaning towelette and air freshener. The car wash system is so advanced with their awesome technology that is why your car glistens when you are finished going through the car wash. The vacuums are super powerful and work efficiently! In the area where you dry off the car, there is always a spot available and towels too to dry off the car. I asked an employee by the name of Danielle who flashed a beautiful smile at me and a can-do, helpful, efficient, and professional attitude for an air freshener because I had accidentally thrown mine away. She happily said yes and brought me back four, all different scents! She went above and beyond to help me, and that is not common for employees to do this unless they are "Super Stars" like "Danielle!" I enjoyed my pleasant conversation with Danielle, and I told her how much I appreciated her help working above and beyond the call of duty! Danielle is a rare treasure at your business establishment! She truly makes your business shine with a happy and pleasant personality besides the great technology of your car wash! yes I've been living in El Cajon for like 5 yrs since before the 7/11 across the street closed. Now I was there this past Thursday and there were cones throughout the parking lot and I've never seen them before. I stopped ask the guy at the car wash pay part why the cars where there. This man proceeds to say a bunch of words that doesn't make any sense about the cones so I proceeded to go clean the rental I was returning. This man proceeds to walk over with the rudest attitude like didn't I tell you blah blah blah but what he's saying isn't what he's trying to say. BUT IT WAS COMPLETELY RUDE and CONDESCENDING!!! He kept talking even a customer had to step in and tell him to calm down. He kept saying how it was his parking lot. I told him what are you saying so are you saying that if your not a member you can't use the vaccum he said yes I've already said that I said not you didn't you were completely rude and he just kept repeating my car wash my parking lot. Now had he said oh you can't use them they are for members only I would of just left so while I'm using finishing up he turns the vacuum off and then comes to tell me when the last time I was a member and blah blah bla. I've been coming to this carwash for 3 years, and I'm a monthly subscriber. Today I went to go through the wash and there was no other car in front of me. The attendant working was so interested in chatting with his female co-worker bringing a pizza in that he didn't even look my way when I pulled in. Then he started directing me which way to turn the steering wheel and was visably irritated with me. I rolled my window down and said if he had been paying attention when I pulled in, there wouldn't be a problem. To this he started yelling at me that I should have waited until he motioned for me to drive through like everyone else. That I had "broken the rules." I asked his name and he said it was Ian. After continuing to yell at me to straighten my wheels, I eventually was able to get through the car wash. I'm a very easygoing customer. In fact, I'm the kind of customer who goes out of her way to let managers know when an employee has provided good service. I understand this isn't the most exciting ways to make money, and from the looks of "Ian" it's likely one of his first jobs. He needs a lesson in how you treat customers. All he would have had to do was treat me with respect and kindness (I know, we don't see much of this in the world right now), and there would have been no issue at all. If I was "Ian's" supervisor and I read this review, he would be looking for another job. At this point, I'll be canceling my subscription. It's a shame as this carwash is close to my house and very convenient, but I prefer to give my money to businesses that treat customers with respect. read more

In April, I purchased a membership with Superstar Car Wash that included one free car wash per month as part of the package. Fast-forward to September, I went in to use my wash and redeem the free monthly wash for another one of my vehicles. Johnathan, who claimed to be the general manager, told me there was "no such thing" and spoke to me in an extremely rude and unprofessional manner. After going back and forth with him, I decided it wasn't worth the hassle and asked him to simply cancel my membership. Instead of helping, he ignored me, placed a cone behind my car, and made me sit there for about 10 minutes. When he finally moved it so I could leave, he mockingly waved at me as I backed out. Long story short, I had to cancel my own membership on my own -- something that should have been a simple, respectful customer service interaction. The way Johnathan handled the situation was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. read more

Recently I got a new car, I visited today, attempted to purchase a single wash because I usually prefer hand washes and wasn't interested in the membership at this time. The associate approaches me mocks me for my decision for purchasing a single wash stating that you're certainly not doing a hand wash today.. so what's your excuse for not getting a membership? Then he goes on and on mocking me and not letting me purchase a single wash not respecting my decision to purchase a single wash today. As I was selecting my wash from the menu a blonde male employee stood by the kiosk and began questioning my wash choice. While trying to pay for my wash and ignoring his persistent badgering to join their monthly wash program he began asking "Hello? Hello? Can you hear me?" in an aggressive tone. To which I responded "Yes, I'm not intrested." This still did not stop him from further badgering regarding their wash program. I said "Stop harassing me." He asked, "How is this harassment?" After this I had finished paying and could drive away from him. After going through the wash (which leaves your car completely soaked) this same employee aggressively approached me while I was drying my car and demanded that I be more polite next time. To which I responded "I don't have to be. What you're doing isn't polite, it's harassment." Unsatisfied with my answer he continued to approach me physically. As he did so I told him to get away from me and I instructed my friend to start recording him. I told him he was being recorded and he responded "Go ahead." and took my picture. One of the best car washes I've been to. The wash seemed to get everything clean, they give you dash cloths which was nice to get all of the dust and sand off the car. Came here for the first time because I got a free car wash. The gentleman who helped me was very nice and friendly. They give you free air freshener and a dash wipe. They have reusable towels for you to dry your car and they have shade so you're not in direct sun light. This place was big and clean. I had a very upsetting experience at this car wash that I feel compelled to share. From the moment I arrived, the staff was aggressively pushing a membership on me. I politely declined multiple times (more than five) and repeatedly stated that I just wanted to purchase a single car wash and be on my way. Despite having my card out and ready to pay, the attendant continuously spoke over me and ignored my request. Every time I tried to interject and say, "Thank you but I just want to pay for one wash," he would interrupt and say, "You're not listening, I'm trying to inform you," with increasing irritation. The interaction became so uncomfortable that I looked away and nearly started crying, I felt trapped and powerless. I couldn't reverse out, and he refused to proceed with the transaction unless I listened to his full sales pitch. Even with my card in hand, he would not take it, which only dragged the situation on longer. When he finally did take in an irritated tone he said "I'm not one to just snatch cards out of peoples hands but ok" again I had my card out in hand and extended my arm out. When I asked to speak to someone above him or the owner, the other attendant smirked and said, "Oh no, I'm sorry, that's his job he is the GM" in a sarcastic, dismissive tone. For context, both staff members involved appeared to be Middle Eastern men. Years ago, I had a membership here that was abruptly canceled without notice by them, and I remember the staff being unprofessional even then. I had hoped things had improved, but clearly, they haven't. I will not be returning, and I strongly urge management to retrain their staff on respectful, customer-centered service especially when a customer clearly says no. I'm so pissed. I've been coming here for over a year now. I signed up for a membership that's supposed to be billed once a month. I come back the second time and they told me I don't a membership. I thought it was weird so I gave them another card to use and it turns out they've been charging me THREE TIMES since 2022. There's no number to call except for that one number in Arizona that takes 3498573498053475 minutes to pick up of course. I called at 8 AM and they said "14 minutes till a rep can get to you" and of course it took about 30 minutes. As soon as the rep picked up, she hangs up on me and I of course don't get a call back. I call back and of course it is now "32 minutes till a rep can get to you." I'M SO UPSET. You'll see below I'v put in an excel how much I've been charged. read more

Do not go here!! They have quite the scam going on there. You use a credit/debit card and it automatically sets you up for monthly fee of $22.98 !!! The font size on the sign is so tiny no one sees it. I'm furious. You have to cancel online using your license plate # and card #. You receive NO email confirming you cancelled. You don't even receive a confirmation # confirming you cancelled. I cancelled and still am being billed monthly.
