I've been coming here since COVID. First review on this spot. I've been here through several owners. So it's unfortunate that I'm not coming back. Pedicure today. Nail tech continued to cut the excess skin around my big toe nail. After I said it hurt. After it was bleeding. Pulling large pieces of my cuticle/excess skin away. This is the second time this has happened with the same nail tech... I know I need this skin removed. But there has to be a better way. If that wasn't enough, the pedicure was lack luster at best. The nail tech was on her phone scrolling for videos, so the massage part was less than ideal. Anyways. Disappointed to say that I won't be back here. It's too bad, really. read more

Had to be reminded more than twice what service I was getting. And during the service you can see in the video how she's using her nail to get underneath the acrylic powder but in the midst of doing that she is stabbing me under my fingernails with her own. I don't think that's sanitary, but I'm not a nail tech. After being reminded of how many times she hurt me while taking off the acrylic powder and what services I was getting done, I paid for the service and that was it. No tip. They seemed confused. But it's all about the quality of the services not that you can do them. Next time I'm sticking to my salon in federal way. Smh. Lesson learned. read more

I just got out of Superstar Nail Dip & Spa and am so happy. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming with each person inside of the salon. Every single employee gave a greeting. The place looks beautiful. This visit was to invest in my feet as they needed much healing so I chose the Organic Pedicure Volcano Spa Package that was romance (orchid) scented that costs $60. This package does a detox with bubbling and fizzing action, which I needed big time. My nail tech, Chloe, did a fantabulous job! I am so pleased. She was very kind to me and meticulous with her work. Her nail art is beautiful. She did a feather for me no problem following the picture exactly how I showed it to her. She gave me no hassle while picking out the colors. She waited for my nails to thoroughly dry in between coats to make sure they didn't get messed up. During this time, she inspected the nails and would fix any incorrections. The organic pedicure included an orange slice to be added in addition to the scented exfoliation scrub. It felt wonderful along with the massage she gave my legs and feet. My body was in a lot of pain and she made both my legs and feet feel much better afterwards with a gentle massage concentrating on areas she felt were hurting more. One of the ladies cleaning up offered me a beverage while my feet were being groomed. There's 1 free beverage offered for free to choose from water, coke, or wine. I chose a diet coke. Woohoo! This was a nice added touch. I'm definitely going here from now on. The other customer sitting next to me mentioned that she drove all the way from Seattle just to be at this salon. This is my second visit and I've got to say that both times, I've had such a pleasant experience. My stress melted in the massage chair and the beautiful pedicure left me with a smile the entire time. Choosing this salon today makes me want to go back for my manicure. Zero stars the manager is mean and horrible. Got a set of nails on one day later they look like a week old thick lifting already. She cut me 3 times was so rough . My daughter had a fill last week and polish all cracked Went in she was trying to charge her half price to re paint. Just greedy. So much for customer service and customer retention. The lighting in their salon is very dim and I get matte finish on mine so it's hard to see any mistakes without good lighting and that's why I called as soon as I got home because I saw how horrible and lumpy they were! My nails then started falling apart and peeling within 24 hrs! And when I asked for a refund, they refused and said they would only fix them and I explained I didn't want them to fix my nails because they already screwed them up horribly once! This place doesn't deserve to be in business. I believe anyone who has covid-19 should stay away from people like everyone else. Employees are constantly talking about customer's in their native language thinking no one would understand what their saying, until today. When we go to a hair salon or the barbershop and specially when we go get our nails done we deserve to be respected. I came in with a picture reference of the design I wanted and walked out with something that was terrible. And the lady was rude making comments about my eyebrows being bushy laughing about it. Spent $200+ and I regret giving them my money. And the worst part about it is that I've been there before and was never treated the way I was today and when I ask for a certain style I'm never disappointed until today. If she couldn't do the design she should have said that instead of wasting my time and my money. Now I have an appointment booked SOMEWHERE ELSE that can actually do the designs asked for. Unfortunately, Henry and Lyhn no longer own this establishment, which is so sad because Lyhn gave the best pedicures I've honestly ever had and this was my go-to place. I gave the new owners a try and wish I didn't. I ended up getting an infection the day after my pedicure, idk if it was also the tools but she cut the side of my nail too far back. I've never had this reaction before out of all the pedicures I've had. Also, the Deluxe pedicure used to come with paraffin wax and it no longer does - for the same price. When I first came in I asked if it still does, she said yes. When I sat down and she then said it only comes with the Signature pedicure that comes with hot stones. I didn't want hot stones but still had to pay the same price of the Signature. I didn't want to argue about it since she was in charge of my skin. I still got infected anyways, sadly I won't be coming back. read more

Came in at 6:00pm exact to get acrylic on my toes for me and a regular pedicure for my mom. The girl waited for me to have my foot in the water before saying they close at 7:00 pm and it's too late she wont do acrylic. I should have left but my mom said we're already here. The water was scorching hot when my mom put her foot in the water. They didn't apologize or offer any assistance just started speaking their native language and you can tell they were talking sht. Again I should have left but me and my mom had an awful experience and we definitely didn't tip . DO NOT GO HERE THEY ALSO USED A USED SPONGE AND CLIPPER ON MY TOES. Best place to get dip. They don't over file your nails so your nail stays strong and healthy. I've been to other salons that feel like they need to file your top for texture like crazy and end up thinning your nail so much that as soon as you remove the dip, it breaks. They're also amazing at cleaning up right away, ensuring there is no excess or hard pieces after the dip. read more

I went here before Christmas and was excited to try this place. The lady was nice at first. I felt rushed to pick out my color but I didn't worry about that. I picked a color and she said this is chrome. I told her that was okay. She talked to her hugs and kisses worker for a moment and said that this would be fine without it that it has sparkles in it. So I was a little upset I was being talked out of the original color I chose from their swatches. Then she kept digging her thumb nail I to my skin every time she was working on a finger. I was uncomfortable and instead of asking she got slightly more aggressive in her work. I was so done and paid and left. I sent a text about my experience and no one reached out. Having been isolated since March, glad to find this newly opened nail salon. With mask on, I was pleasantly greeted & given a temp test. Afterwards, I was asked to signed a waiver form regarding COVID-19. Happy to oblige. Lyn was meticulous & precise but could have done the pedicure in a shorter time. I got my nails done here a little over two weeks ago. I did the dip powder and couldn't be happier! Nails still look great and no peeling or chipping, just normal growth with my nails! Other places I've done dip at and spent 45/50$ on end up peeling and chipping the same week. So I've been super impressed! I also work in the medical field so I'm constantly washing my hands and using hand sanitizer. I plan on going back soon to redo my nails and get a pedi! Didn't bother to cut my cuticles. It took about 10 minutes for the bleeding to stop. For a $39.00 pedicure I was supposed to get a 5 minute message with lotion. Do not recommend. I'm an avid dip mani gal and this place just lacks. They perform the "manicure" after doing the dip portion. They don't use warm water or any water to soften your cuticles or push them back etc. They file/buff your nails so aggressively that it wears down your nails more than needed, which results in a ridge in your nails when your nails grow out. This visit, they used the nail buffer on my palms? Like, how they use the tool during a pedi to get rid of calluses, which was the first, and mind you, my hands aren't full of calluses. Another thing, for a place that has "dip" in their name, the lack a variety of colors for dip. They never give you all the colors they actually have, but I've only seen 3-4 rings of colors. read more

I took my daughter to get her nails done for the very first time. The price came to 66.00. Nothing fancy was done no extras just got her nails done. Way out of our price range. I wish I would of known they were so expensive. I was expecting around 40.00 but they looked like they were not done to well but of course I did not want to tell my daughter this. She was so proud and happy to get this done. I wasn't to impressed with the staff there either. They constantly spoke another language amongst each other and spoke only to the clients when needed but more so constantly with each other and I found it very unprofessional because it makes their clients feel very uncomfortable. I could see this effect in the other's customers just sitting and watching them. I also found it very unprofessional that the people that were doing the mail work on their clients were actually talking on their phones with personal calls while doing their clients nails for long periods. A professional nail salon I would think would not want to show such disrespect to their customers. I would not recommend this particular nail salon based upon all of my observations of all of this. read more

I treated my daughter to a mommy and me manicure - her first ever professional manicure. I read online that they accept walk ins, and as we had just gone to Target, the location was convenient. We were greeted right away and when I asked if they had availability to accommodate both of us, they said yes. We were about to be seated separately but my daughter (who is 10) looked uncomfortable. They took notice and sat us together. The manicurist who worked on my daughter was friendly and seemed to be patient. The manicurist who worked on me was...not. After she shaped and buffed my nails, and before she even touched the nail color bottle, I asked if I could change my color. She said okay but the vibe went downhill from there. Once I picked my new color (mind you, I went and got the samples myself, never once asking her to get up), she audibly said "oh my god!" when I picked a color that was completely opposite (from light lilac to deep red). She then proceed to give me a splotchy manicure and less than enthusiastic hand/forearm massage. The first hand/arm she did she barely applied any pressure. My second hand/arm got almost no love...maybe be I was wearing a watch, she didn't even bother to apply lotion expect for 1 quick swipe on the back of my hand. When I thanked her (because, hello, manners), she didn't acknowledge it or say thank you back. I still left a 20% tip (mainly because my daughter's manicurist treated her well). But I will not be going back - why spend my hard earned money at a place where I feel unwelcome and a burden? Also, they tried to upsell me 4 times before getting the point that I wasn't going to be talked into something I didn't want. Last by not least, the children's manicure is supposed to include an option for a hand drawn flower design for 1-2 nails...they didn't even offer this option to my daughter, but still charged the full price.
