And, when that last flood happened, Sam had fans and dehumidifiers on site in less than an hour from when we called.

We contact multiple vendors to come and looks at the issue, but none were as thorough and experienced as Mark and his team. From the beginning to end, the experience has been stellar. Mark arrived to look at the issue promptly. He was able to identify the issue accurately and was honest about the necessary scope of the remediation work. (Other vendors suggest a smaller fix which ,in hindsight, would not have solved our issue in the long run and would require additonal work later on) Throughout the entire process, he constantly communicated the progress of the work and kept us update on the schedule, something that we appreciate since its the first time we have to deal with mold and water issues. Last but not least, Mark and his team take great care in carrying out the work and handling our belongings in the work area. If you need any restoration work done, I definitely recommend Quality Assurance Restoration.

I contacted a few different people, but Mark was the first to be willing to make it out to us that same day. After checking out the damage, he put my mind at ease and gave us the rundown of his plan of running a few fans and dehumidifiers in our utility closest and in the crawlspace. I asked him a bunch of questions I had, and he answered each one with ease and helped me understand what was going on. In the end, Mark and his team set up the fans and dehumidifiers in the spaces and left them for a few days. We were considering getting new tiling and he recommended Jose from Neza Restoration & Repair. Jose and Fernando also did a really good job. What makes Mark stand out from the rest is his availability, clear communication, and just being a down to earth guy. I felt I could trust Mark, and may have overstepped when asking for advice outside of water damage, but was he willing in answering and helping me out. God forbid I have more water damage in my future, but if I do, Mark and his team are the first ones I'll contact. And I'll be referring them to every person I know seeking water damage help from now on.

I was never told my built-ins would be completely removed, I only discovered it after the fact. Had I known, I could have arranged for proper removal, but instead they were torn out in a way that left them unsalvageable, costing me thousands to replace. Afterward, the company pointed to the notes fine print rather than acknowledging the lack of communication. If you use them, insist on a clearly explained scope of work. If you rely on professionals to help you navigate confusing home repairs, like myself, these aren't your guys. Update to response: First, I want to be clear that I don't believe Adam or the company ever acted with any intent to mislead me or cause harm. I think this situation came down to a lack of communication that unfortunately left me in a difficult position. About 90% of what Adam said in his response is true, but none of it directly addresses my actual concern. The real issue is whether the company made sure I fully understood the scope of work. Perhaps Adam thought... what idiot would not see it was obvious that the entire built-ins would need to be removed? Hi... it's me, I'm the idiot and truly I had no idea. I thought only a portion of my ceiling would be affected. Given the huge difference between what I understood and what actually happened, I believe the company should have explained this much more clearly. Like many homeowners, I rely on professionals to explain the scope of work in plain terms. I think that's a reasonable expectation. Adam is correct with my quote below but he left out the part where I explained that my issue was solely that I didn't know the built-ins were being removed. This was never clearly communicated to me, nor was I given the opportunity to remove them properly myself. Because of that, I feel my ability to make informed decisions was taken away. I only reached out to Adam directly later, after another contractor told me the closet could have been saved and that the removal was "unnecessarily destructive." Whether that's true or not, I'll never know. because I wasn't given the chance to find out. To clarify, the note about the built-ins wasn't hidden in "fine print," but it was only mentioned once in the "Other Notes" section. It was never discussed verbally, by email, or over the phone, and it wasn't included in the detailed action items. I don't think a single mention buried in a notes section qualifies as meaningful disclosure, especially when no one pointed it out or explained its implications. Perhaps Adam does. Lastly, the other points raised, like the quality of the closet materials, water damage, or insurance support, are not relevant to my concern. My issue has always only been about the lack of clear communication regarding the scope of work. Thank you.

1 star - Would Not Recommend…read more We hired this company to handle mitigation work in our closet following a roof issue. While they were able to complete the job quickly, the overall experience was deeply disappointing and I would not recommend them. The Good: They were responsive and able to get to the job quickly, which matters in a mitigation situation. The Bad: The work was messy and careless. Sealant ended up on furniture that was well outside the containment area, and when we raised the issue, the team showed little accountability or willingness to take ownership of the mistake. The drywall removal was also poorly executed. Rather than making clean cuts, they tore it out recklessly, damaging surrounding drywall that was otherwise in good condition -- creating additional work and cost for the rebuild team. The Dealbreaker: My biggest concern was their resistance to providing dry logs. Our insurance company required them, and I had to essentially argue with this company just to get documentation they should have readily provided. In an insurance claim situation, this kind of pushback is completely unacceptable and added unnecessary stress to an already difficult process. In summary -- fast response, but poor workmanship, little accountability, and a frustrating lack of cooperation on critical documentation.

Still a significant investment (!), but worth every cent. The team was extremely professional start to finish, from the communication with the scheduler/office staff to the artisans actually doing the work/painting. They left the work site spotless every single day, which we extra appreciated after having the opposite experience with another contractor who did the interior reno. The before and after photo speaks for itself-- our home is stunning and we are grateful for the team for their attentive, painstaking work. It was covered in aluminum siding from the 1960s when we got it, wood rotting beneath, and now the original materials (cedar shingles), in the original configuration wow once again.

Our house recently needed extensive restoration and repair, which was carried out by Fortune Restoration in October of 2024 to our complete satisfaction. Early this spring, following a series of violent windstorms, a plexiglass covering on the window of our third story turret blew off. We contacted Fortune and they sent a crew over two days later. The plexiglass was cleaned and put back into place and the trim around it was repainted. Even though this occurred a year and a half after the October 2024 restoration, we were not charged for this repair. Clearly Fortune Restoration stands by their work. We would not trust our house to anyone else. Sharon and Terry M.

However, On September 9th, 2018, we learned just how devastating going through a major fire can be personally. We had just welcomed a new baby girl to the family less than 3 weeks before and were moving into our first home. Thankfully, we all were completely safe and the only loss we had was material. I remember the horrible feeling of trying to hold back tears when we saw what was left of our new home. Completely in shock, anxious, and trying to find answers, in a word, we were lost. As the initial shock subsided, we worked with our insurance company to get started on the claim. While they were great, we still were navigating completely uncharted territory and did not feel comfortable or knowledgable about what exactly to do. We then received advice from a family member that we NEED to call Ron Schoeneman immediately before doing anything. That piece of timely advice, was a blessing. That family connection at our time of need, seemed like it could only be divine intervention. Ron explained the role a Public Adjuster makes in an insurance claim, and took us through every detail in what we knew would be a lengthy process. Team Schoeneman assisted with EVERYTHING. I have no doubt in my mind that we would have struggled with so many of the requests and details that are required for a claim like this, and this is exactly why we chose A. Schoeneman & Co. They came with us to walk through the destruction and mush, and took care of all of the impossible paperwork to get us on the rebuild path as soon as possible. The Schoeneman team made all the arrangements and treated us like family the entire time. Every employee, worker, specialist, were fantastic to work with and be around. The ENTIRE team easily earns the highest recommendation we could give. So many people had a hand in our rebuild, it's hard to thank everyone personally. From the faces we saw most in Ron, Allen, and Mitch; to everyone involved behind the scenes. Of course we need to thank the on-site team led by Cornel and Ciprian, Alex and everyone else working hard every day to rebuild our home. They did an incredible job. During the construction process, we were always able to connect and discuss our options and stay aware of what was going on from afar. As time went by, the stress and frustration turned to excitement as we watched our home come closer and closer to being rebuilt. Seeing our children playing in our new home, has us smiling from ear to ear, which is exactly what I told Ron when he said - welcome home! We will be forever grateful.
