It was disappointing to say the least. It's more expensive than all the other pho restaurants I've been too. The pho was terribly bland, and not very generous with noodles or meat. I could have whipped up a better recipe at home in my instant pot. Considering there's several other Pho restaurants within a mile radius on San Pablo Ave (Le Pho, Pho Le, Ao Sen), there's no reason to ever come here. Delicious! Grabbed some lunch to-go while driving through this neighborhood. Combination bun vermicelli with pork and shrimp was fantastic and bf loved his combo banh mi. Fresh shrimp rolls were also very tasty - great meal, filling portions but don't leave you in a food coma (loved their fish sauce too!) I came here and had the Chicken Pho. It was very very good and the portion was generous. The ambience here is definitely family-run-hole-in-the-wall, which I enjoy. There is some nice outside seating as well. The downsides were mainly in attention to detail. My Chicken Pho had a meat ball in it, which wasn't a big deal for me but would have probably pissed off a vegetarian. It also had a peanut in it, which was a nice surprise for me but could have killed someone with an allergy. The chicken also wasn't cut super carefully and there was chicken skin and cartilage in a bunch of the pieces. The other thing I'd add is that I asked to add broccoli to the Pho and was charged $2 (which they didn't tell me about up front) and when the Pho came it had only 1 broccoli floret cut in half. I'd go for Le Pho next time. It's just down the way, just as tasty, similarly priced, cleanlier, and they are more careful with the food. read more

Yo, is that a new pho restaurant? WTF, they serve burgers too? Well yes, that and banh mi as well. Smoothies too. And they do it all so very well. If you choose the pho route (which I highly recommended), you'll get a fat ass bowl full of flavor, some very good cuts, and tons of veggies. Seriously, growing up in San Jose and Vietnam and I must say they are pretty damn close to some of the best out there. Pretty crazy for such a new outpost on San Pablo. If you choose the burger or banh mi route, you won't be disappointed either. Their burgers are cooked to perfection on a brioche bun and topped with some perfectly sliced fresh veggies. The best and my favorite place for banh mi. The sauce they use in it sooo good! The bread is also how I prefer- not too hard or crunchy. I always get the pork banh mi. For their pho, I would say it's an average broth. They have a nice patio area which I think is open now. read more

I'll be honest, as a non local walking in I was a bit concerned as to the quality of the food. The place doesn't look like much from even it's best angle outside and the inside looks like a seedy Asian cafeteria. The cup full of washable chopsticks and stack of soup spoons isn't for germaphobes but I can tell you that the food more than made up for it. I view Pho as a sort of Vietnamese Fast Food and it delivered. Spring rolls out in 5 minutes, Pho out in 12. The spring rolls were fresh and crisp tasting like every ingredient had just been picked/caught. There were sauces to add to it and the Super Combo Pho that I had but it barely needed it. Perfect seasoning and nice and light broth with bright onions and soft noodles was a great end to the day. Don't expect a super large variety but if you want good Vietnamese on the east side of the bay, it can't be beat! read more

Grabbed a banh mi (number 10) and a coffee. The banh mi was decent but didn't contain head cheese which I personally enjoy. The bread was extremely soft and they used a lot of some kind of sauce that was similar to sauce used in an In N Out burger which was a little strange. The coffee itself was 70% ice and the part that was coffee was like 50% some kind of mocha like flavoring. The coffee was pretty expensive too (for what it was). Super Super is a fairly casual place, I came here bout 5 times and tried a variety of dishes before writing this review. The staff are friendly, although some have difficulty speaking english, which is ok. This establishment offers primarily Vietnamese food in the form of Pho, Rice plates, Vermicelli, and bahn mi (vietnamese sandwiches). However, it also offers burgers, fries, onion rings, and vietnamese side dishes such as spring and egg rolls. Although most things here are fairly good, the rice plate really shines. the bahn mi is nice, as the bread is soft and they use a spread which gives the sandwich a little more moisture. the pho is good too. the burger and fries can give american that primarily serve burgers, a run for their money. the pricing is affordable, although not the cheapest you will find in terms of vietnamese food, the quality is also above average and the nice location together more than make up for the additional couple of dollars you will spend. Surprisingly delicious! I walked in and the place was empty with a friendly adolescent running the register. I won't lie looking at the surroundings had me a little wary. I peeked back into the kitchen to see a woman crouched over a pot. I was a little perturbed at this sight as it seemed as if the pot was at floor level so at that sight I decided no pho but I will have a rice plate. I ordered the BBQ shrimp rice plate and it arrived quickly. Despite my initial doubts the food was delicious. I enjoyed every tiny morsel of it. Ordered the pho with rare steak on the SIDE, with beef balls. Yes, the pho is good. No it is not as hearty, or beefy as I'd like, but it is good. I like that I can get a large for just $1 extra. Wish they had a double large for $2. I would like to try the burger, since I hear it is freshly ground. I went there at around 12:30 and they already ran out. One guy there was already eating a double burger, and he looked pretty damn happy. So...wow, I guess. Friend ordered a banh mi to go, and said it was legit. There are a lot of good Vietnamese restaurants around El Cerrito/Albany so I was curious what set this apart. My party went and we were greeted by the very friendly host of the restaurant. The place was clean and homey with a nice covered outdoor area. The menu was simple and straight forward. I ordered their sandwiches and boy was I surprised. The bread was soft and warm unlike a lot of other Vietnamese restaurant. The meat was warm and moist. However what is really the shocker is the sauce they use. Mhm whatever is in the sauce, I'm hooked. I order one than order another just to split with my party b/c the sandwich was so good. I literately marked their return date from vacation so I can schedule time to be back and order more of their sandwiches. And during the time I couldn't eat their sandwich, I had fevered dreams of eating it. Overall if you like Vietnamese sandwiches this is good place to come to. They got big space outside and inside. My first time eating in, so I didn't know the process yet. Walked in and told the person behind the counter "two", and was told to order first. So we ordered, paid, then we were given a number. We got to sit anywhere space was available, and they had a nice outdoor patio, but we opted for inside where it was warmer. The pho was spot-on and so was the pork, chicken and egg roll rice plate. I swear, we had our food and drinks within eight minutes of sitting down, and it was hot and fresh! I love supporting small family businesses, and this one is excellent AND much closer to home than Pho Au Sen in Albany. This small converted house is my new fave pho spot! I'm happy I can now walk two blocks to pretty good pho. I've had it twice now and probably I'll eat it weekly now that I know it's here. The avocado smoothie was delicious, not too sweet. The owner is a warm uncle type- and was happy we chose to eat pho over burgers. I would give super super five stars if he starts serving bun rieu or bun bo hue with blood cubes. I think he is still trying the gage the neighborhood. He doesn't have tripe in the pho combo. read more

Their Banh Mi is pretty amazing, for just about $5, the bread is crispy and meat, vege and sauces come together in a delicious combination. Their Thai Iced Tea has a little too much ice if you ask me, and tends to be finished very quickly. Their combination pho is delicious, but lacking ingredients. I think you can find better pho elsewhere in Berkeley. Their shrimp rice plate, which my husband got, was also lacking ingredients for the price. I've never sat down to eat here, so this is only a review for the to-go/pick up orders. I live about a mile away. When I call in the order, they're always ready for me to pick up in 10 mins. Their pho broth is fantastic! Coming from LA and being Vietnamese, I have had plenty of pho in my lifetime. Definitely better than any other place in Berkeley. I've also had their fried egg rolls and those are great too! The banh mi is also yummy, but they are slightly heavy on the mayo (so ask for half, if you don't like too much mayo). I love this hidden gem so much! My boyfriend and i stumbled on this spot while aimlessly driving through Berkeley to find a lunch spot. We ordered the pork banh mi, chicken pho with egg noodles, and beef pho with regular noodles. First of all... THE PORK BANH MI WAS AMAZING! The pork was thick and slightly crispy.. there was a special sauce (tasted like Siracha mayo with fish sauce), the French bread was fresh and crispy on the outside. It was so amazing i had to order a few more to-go so i can bring some home (one for me and two for my parents)! The pho was also delicious. The broth was phenomenal and authentic. I loved that they had egg noodles (not on the menu, you have to ask..). The egg noodles were perfectly cooked with a slight chew/bounce to them.
