So it's the 4th of July and my fave pho place is closed. These guys were open...hadn't been in a long time, and since the last time I was here they've covered the patio which is nice. It used to get super hot outside. The food is pretty good and about the same price as similar establishments on San Pablo. I had the beef pho (I like it without tendon, beef ball, etc) and the broth was great, the noodles bouncy and it came with all the basil, sprouts, jalapeño and citrus I could want. We also got what they call egg rolls which were like imperial rolls in regular egg roll wrappers. They were decent. Daughter got combination bun which she liked a lot. 3 stars cuz I had to use the bathroom which was absolutely horrifying. They have 2 bathrooms. Tried their Banh Mi sandwich instead of the Pho this time. Got the combo with chicken, beef, and pork. I was thinking it'd be the cold cuts, but nahhhh it's real chicken, beef, and pork loaded inside which was a lovely change to try. I actually enjoyed it with the triple meats! However, wayyyyy too much mayo and does not include Pate, you have to order Pate as an extra add-on, but only $1 extra. Overall, great sandwich but wayyyy too much mayo. I never really write reviews but man this pho was not good. It definitely shouldn't be the first thing popped up on yelp let alone have 4 stars. If you wanted some better pho you could js go to Oakland for that. The price for a combo pho wasn't worth it they barely gave any meat and didn't have tripe or tendon. $17.75 for just straight meatballs and flank steak lmao. Broth wasn't good it tasted watered down and like instant pho from the packages. Also the place is dirty. This was my husband's and my first time trying this restaurant. When you arrive, you place your order and pay at the counter first, then take a seat in the dining area to enjoy your meal. The prices are quite reasonable, and the food was pretty good overall. For me, the broth wasn't as rich or flavorful as I had hoped, though they do give you a generous amount of it. The staff provided decent service -- not outstanding, but not bad either. There are several pho restaurants along this street, and this was the first one we decided to try. Came by for late pho lunch and it was perfect for a cold, rainy day. They don't really have "outdoor seating" as their "outdoors" area consists of wooden plank floors with a simple covering overhead. Their "indoors" area is nonexistent, it's just a place where you order at the cashier, with a few...like two tables by the register. Anyways, bundle up on a cold day, as there are no heaters, and the seating area isn't fully insulated. BUT the pho will warm you right up! I love me some beef tendon, and I was sad to see that their pho options were flank, steak, and tripe pretty much...really simple beef pho options. There's also veggie pho and chicken pho ga options as well. The pricing is slightly higher than pho in Oakland/Merritt area, but the quality and portions are well worth the price. The pho comes out hot and their trimmings include lemon, basil, jalapeno and bean sprouts. I wish we had lime and mint as well, but theirs is quite basic. Super Super is great for large groups, and pet-friendly. They also have their own parking lot that fits maybe like 10 cars? Also street parking too. Best Báhn mì I have ever had. I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the other items ordered because my kids ate so fast! We ordered the chicken rice plate and chicken vermicelli. Both plates were made to order and had very fresh-tasting ingredients. The restaurant has a parking lot in the rear and plenty of seating options inside. The scenery is relaxing and the service is quick. The gentleman who took our order was courteous and helpful in making recommendations as it was our first time visiting. Came here around 2 pm on a Sunday for a late lunch. I love that there's a private parking lot in the back. I was greeted immediately as soon as I entered. You order at the front, then get a number to place on your chosen table. They accept credit card, which is a plus. I got the #1 combo. It came out within a few minutes. Hefty portions. Broth was hearty and not full of msg (I didn't feel super thirsty afterwards). Not the cheapest pho place I've been to, but not bad for the price ($19+ tip). There were also overhead heat lamps in the covered patio dining area and the OG Huy Fong sriracha was available at each table. So for anyone who knows me they know I love a really good noodle soup whether it be Japanese Udon or Ramen or something else so when I wanted to have some kind of hot soup tonight for dinner, I thought about having Pho. The only problem with that is I've been on a ketogenic diet for the last six weeks and I have to keep my carb count way down and the rice noodles would completely blow me out of the water for probably a whole weeks worth of carb counts but like they always do, this place has always to accommodated my dietary needs, and we're able to provide me with a Chicken Pho with no noodles, add Vegetables instead along with the normal herbs and bean sprouts etc... It was still really quite tasty as it was packed with cut up cabbage, broccoli, a little bit of sliced onion, and I topped it off with the basil and the bean sprouts and the jalapeño peppers ! I still miss the noodles, but it gives me something to look forward to once I lose another 10 or 15 pounds! This is why this is one of my goto Pho places in town! Thank you Super Super! I usually only write negative yelp reviews but decided that this place could get a boost. This place is my savior haha. I love their beef pho broth - it is flavorful and clean. Now, others might like the broth to be fatty, but I personally don't. I love how it's clean and as someone who is picky with meat, I love how the rare steak is always fresh, clean, and so tender. It is my pet peeve when the beef is too chewy or has too much fat. This place is my go to for hangover days or just whenever I need a pick me up. It doesn't make me as thirsty as other places as well, I think they use minimal or no MSG. If I had to give one advice, it would be nice to get some more green onion and cilantro, but not the biggest deal. read more

First time here. Made a stop for dinner with my girls. Location was easy to find. They have their own back parking lot. Seating was out in a inclosed patio. You ordered and pay at the register and they'll bring out your order. It is self seating . We ordered pho (#1 and the meatballs) and Bun bo Hue. Pho broth was not bad. The BBH broth tasted just like the pho broth with a spicer flavor. We've had better BBH. The portion of the noodle was pretty small for the price. Nice hole in the wall type of restaurant. Like many have said "hidden gem". My ratings are strictly on their pho. When I'm feeling sick, or have a terrible hang over their pho is my go to. It's always consistent. Piping hot, and flavorful. Very welcoming people and the service never disappoints. They have a small menu which I like the most because they focus on things they're really good at. Portions are generous as well, parking lot in the back and plentiful street parking. This is one of the best banh mis I've ever eaten! I think they put in a mayonnaise-based sauce that is really good. The meats and pare in the banh mi were all delicious and cooked well. The pho here is ok, but I would come here primarily for the banh mi. The store is easy to miss when driving by, but definitely worth checking out! The Berkeley pho scene is pretty much minimal to nonexistent... or so I thought. I found Super Super on a whim and decided that my group should head here for lunch. There's nothing like a good bowl of pho to soothe the soul on a chilly day! Upon arrival, a jolly man greeted us and took our orders. His pleasant smile and warm attitude made our service experience a 10/10. But, the phos were just okay. The broth wasn't super flavorful and my friend noted that it just tasted like saline water. On the contrary, my banh mi which came with sriracha mayo (not traditional but tasty nonetheless) was delicious. The chicken was marinated perfectly and the bread was delightfully crunchy and still soft in the middle. One thing I should mention is that there's mainly outdoor seating. They do have overhead heaters, but they're ineffective when battling Berkeley's intensely brisk weather. Do bring blankets or thick jackets when thinking of dining in! read more

I really want to rate this place higher because the staff is so kind, which is reflected in my rating, but the food is very bland.. I got the BBQ pork over rice and while the portion was good and the pork was cooked OK there was almost no flavor at all, I know it's not labeled as lemongrass pork but the pork honestly tasted like it was pan fried with no seasoning or aromatics it was also a... unique cut of pork and really it could have been chicken, there was no char and really no seasoning. Combo Pho: Basic and ok but again very bland. Combo Bahn mi:interesting.. it had the BBQ chicken and pork but it could have been any meat to be honest.. the bread was delicious and the carrot/daikon was fine but I think they may have put Sriracha mayo in it which was odd but this was the best thing we had.. Food is honestly closer to a 2 than a 3 but the staff was so nice... the food reminded me of Vietnamese restaurants in Utah or Colorado if you know what I mean.... read more

Super Super is the perfect place to stop by for a quick and filling meal with plenty of outdoor seating on their patio. The portions are huge and the workers are kind and efficient!
