This is my go to tailoring place. I've been to a lot of tailors over the years, and one of the biggest things I look for is attention to detail. Too many places rush through alterations or miss the small things that make a difference. They take their time, pay attention to the details, and consistently do quality work. They can be a little pricey depending on what you need done, but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. I'd rather spend a little more and have something done correctly than deal with sloppy alterations that need to be fixed later. After being turned down by so many tailors because they were too backed up, I was relieved to find this place. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. They did an amazing job! I had ordered two custom fitted dress shirts online. When the shirts, the sleeves were a little too long. So I tucked them away to deal with at a future date. Then I dropped over 40 pounds and now nothing about the shirts fit, but I really loved the design. So I brought both shirts in along with two new pairs of pants that just needed simple hems with cuffs. Basically, they were going to have to disassemble the shirts completely and rebuild them. The sleeves needed to be shortened and brought in tighter the full length of the arm. And both side seams needed to be brought in to make the shirt more narrow/fitted. They had everything done in a week. And I cannot give a big enough compliment on how well they turned out. They did beautiful work! The shirts fit like a glove, and I've been given several compliments when wearing them. I paid roughly $200 which I know sounds like a lot. It's more than I spent on the clothing to begin with. But with that said, I also recognize how challenging reconstructing these shirts would be. And I recognize the talent it takes to do that level of work. I definitely feel like I got my moneys worth on this one. Now just pray for me... That I don't put the weight back on! Lol read more

I had my Suit altered there and he charged me $78 which I thought was high Went to the wedding and the sleeves weren't long enough Might be my fault but I wanted the sleeves to be lengthened He wanted to charge me $50 to fix the issue. I dropped off my jean to have it taken in at the waist, but when I went to pick it up, it was still too big. The guy who helped me was rude and shouted a lot in a language I didn't understand. He said he would correct it, but it would take a week. When I picked up my jean again, it was busy, so I couldn't try it on, and now it's still too big. The workmanship has declined significantly. I've been using their tailoring services for more than 10 years, but the last few times there have been multiple items either not done correctly or significantly enough to show any improvement. I honestly feel like they didn't do the work on some items and still charged a lot for their services. I spoke with the owner about this re: one particular item recently. Amazing service!! The owners were super nice and helpful when I brought in three pairs of jeans to get tailored. I have a lot of trouble finding mom/looser jeans that fit me as I'm 21 years old, 4'11", and 90 lbs. I had jeans that were probably 1-2 waist sizes too big but I would just wear them with a belt. I finally decided to take them in and Portola did an amazing job. It only cost $20/pair which is so worth it! They did it in 2 days and when I came to pick them up, I was so happy with the fit. I only come here for hemming pants but does a amazing job and finishes same day. Also, very affordable pricing.

Overall did a good job. I took a dress in for heming and adjusting the size because it was too big. The lady did a good job but it came out a bit too snug to where the dress was uncomfortable to wear and hard to breath in. When I came back in asking if it could be let out a bit to make it more breathable I was told that I was just not use to it. She then proceeded to tell me to go on a diet to lose some weight in the four days before the wedding.
