This place definitely isn't visually appealing, but I've never been disappointed by the different types of calzones I've gotten. I work right around the corner so discovered it during my lunch break once, and $6.50 for a huge calzone + soda is definitely a filling lunch without putting a dent in my wallet! I always get the white garlic sauce, and have alternated the fillings with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, jalapeños, artichokes, and black olives; mix and match (it only comes with 2 unless you pay extra). The crust is pretty good too, simple but savory. Although the calzone doesn't look super duper filled, it's so flavorful and satisfying. My job gets pizzas from here too for special occasions and they're always bomb. Usually combo-type but I'm not sure of the specific name. Although I'm not working from home during COVID, I have made the 20 minute drive to pick up lunch a couple times because it's worth it! It's takeout only (always has been, there are no tables to eat there) and the same couple guys who are always there when I've gone provide good service. read more

Ordered by phone and that was a chore: I was put on hold twice while the employee helped other customers...as if he was answering the phone and taking in store orders. He was polite as he could be under the circumstances. The food arrived within the promised time. I have to admit that I've had better pizza...way better pizza! It was flavorless (I ordered the chicken artichoke one, and the crust was thinner than I expected (I did not ask for thin crust). The cheese pizza was yummy actually. The BBQ boneless wings seemed like they came from a freezer and were heated through. There wasn't even enough BBQ sauce on them to drown a gnat. The chicken salad was ok, but they shouldn't call it chicken salad because where I'm from chicken salad does not have garden salad vegetables in it, I'm just saying "chicken salad" is very misleading. The ranch sauce was extremely tasteless and watered down much. They told me to pick up my order at a specific time I came in early to see my food sitting on top of their oven just sitting out getting cold I asked how long it had been there and they told me it sat out for over 10-15 mins I heated and acted as if I was the issue for asking to heat it sadly atp I had already paid for it I do not know what other unsanitary things this place is up to but health dept needs to surprise them they had multiple orders sitting out as well read more

This review is long overdue. I started getting pizza from them because of the variety of other food available. They have bomb gyros, lasagna, apps and of course pizza. This is very important for my picky family since we all have different tastes. Tonight the driver forgot to give me one item and the owner had him come back right away. Pizza is consistently delicious! One of my favorite pizza joints in Sac. The ratio of sauce to cheese is perfect, not too much of either, and the flavors are, as the name says, superb. I've been to a Superb Pizza on Madison Ave and was less than pleased with what they gave me. A veggie pizza that had no sauce at all, just cheese and vegetables. To top it off, the crust was so flimsy, the sauceless pizza could not hold itself together. But this location is great and the employees are very friendly and funny. Shame I have to give them one star because last week I ordered a pizza a few weeks ago and it was spectacular! However... I called last night at 915 and someone answered and said "we are closed" and hung up. On their flyer it says all orders need to be placed by 930 and they close at 10. I was shocked. I am writing to let you know about Superb Pizza. It's Thursday night and we have all had a long day. We want Pizza! We call Superb Pizza order two pizza special. 1 hr 10 mins later we get our cold, gooey and the dough was raw. I had to microwave my pizza, we all did eat some of it, ended up tossing the pizza out. When I called the pizza place they were saying it's good pizza, I said it usually is, but this time it's really bad. He asked what did you do with the pizza. I said we have the majority here but we threw out what we attempted to eat. He wanted us to take the pizza out of the garbage to show them. Well that was the worst pizza for $32.00. I've been ordering pizza and other foods from this place since I was a preteen. The people that own this pizzeria are absolutely amazing and super nice. Everything we walk in the owner always greets us and asks us how we are doing. Their pizza is amazing and super flavorful. The prices are superb for the quality of the food. I like pizza. Pretty much any kind. The pizza at Superb is consistent and I've never had a bad slice in the 20 plus orders. I would recommend you ask for specials when you call, and order a combo or multiple toppings. The basic pepperoni is ok, but once you had mushrooms onions and there amazing SAUSAGE you will have a real quality pie. So we used the coupons and thought we'd give it a try. After calling the first time, the man on the other end said for us to call back WHEN we know our order. Almost over cooked and almost no cheese and very little pepperoni. The sauce itself was tasty. The buffalo hot wings were not bad, actually good flavor and arrived warm enough. The mozzarella sticks were absolutely horrible! Not at all as pictured. They were cold and absolutely tasteless. Definitely poor quality frozen type. The sodas arrived ice cold which was refreshing. They gave us a delivery time of 45 minutes. After an hour we called to see where they were it was. They said our gate was broken or the code wouldn't work.
