Hi. My name is Steve and I am a Superburger addict. I started out small. Friends said, "Let's grab a burger!". "I'm in!", I said. I thought they were talking about the weak stuff. You know, In-N-Out or some generic place that sales food with an entry on the menu entitled "Hamburger". No. They mainlined me to Superburger in San Francisco where I had the charbroiled cheeseburger, fries and a beer. After that, I was hooked for good. It was 3 p.m. and I was hungry. I bought a sheet of plywood and was taking the slow road back to Healdsburg. I thought I'd stop off at Oliver's Market and get something to eat - then I saw the sign: "Superburger"! My heart leaped and my truck suddenly started to pull hard to the right! It was all I could do to keep it from driving into the front door! Happy hour! You would think there could be nothing better than Superburger because they got the best burgers right? Wrong. What's better than Superburger is Superburger with happy hour. Superburger has good beer on tap. They had half a dozen, but it didn't matter to me because they have Henhouse IPA. It's not Plow, but it's close! My burger was a 4 star burger because the condiments were not absolutely fresh. I could tell. The onion didn't glimmer and shine. The lettuce looked a little tired. * Let's pause here for a history lesson okay? I read that Richard Nixon use to order the tomatoes he ate cut with the grain of the tomato. You see, he knew that everyone cuts tomatoes across the grain, so requesting the "with the grain cut" would guarantee that he got a fresh tomato. So what do we learn from this? That Nixon was a clever fellow? No. What we learn is that Nixon never worked in a restaurant. Otherwise he'd know bad things happen to people who jerk the kitchen staff around. Now, back to the review. * The amazing thing about my charbroiled cheeseburger is that it was still good! They use red onions. Red onions have more flavor than the white. The soft sweet sponge dough bun, the slab of processed cheese and that paddy of hamburger with just enough char and fat in that flavorful burger send that spasm throughout the body that gives one a "glow". A still small voice says, "Sure! I can eat this one and one more!" and I know I'll be back! This Superburger Windsor is unlike San Francisco Super burgers in that you don't have to stand in a long line - and the place you get to enjoy your treasure in most comfortable! Outside under an enormous oak tree one can relax and enjoy the beer and food. What a great place to bring a group of friends! *Update* - That San Francisco place? It's "Super Duper Burger" - which confused me. Not difficult of course to confuse me - but Super Burger has a similar business model... but now quite as intense as Super Duper Burger. I think Super Duper Burger uses white onions instead of red and the way they assemble the burgers (Super Duper) is more methodical. read more

Lower your expectations if you have been to the Santa Rosa location and enjoyed the experience. By the time we got our to-go order, it was cold, so it is hard to say if everything was stale, or just bad because it was cold. The fries were cold and flavorless, the bun was chewy-stale, and the burger was well done, while ordered medium rare. On the plus side, the lettuce, pickle, and tomato seemed fresh. They stop taking orders over the phone 45 minutes before closing. I was lied to and put on hold for 15 minutes and when I tried to call back they unplugged the phone. Really sus, don't lie to me and waste my time putting me on hold when I have to get dinner for myself and family and everything is closing and you just wasted my time. read more

We used to love to come to this place since they carried gluten free buns and grass fed beef, but lately I don't know what has happened, but the quality has deteriorated tremendously! We ordered two grass-fed gluten free burgers and when I bit into it, I tasted immediately that the meat was rotten, (it smelled funny but I thought maybe it was the sauce on it). I then asked my wife that ordered the same thing but with no sauce, (plain), and she said hers tasted rotten as well. We sent it back and then the waitress said she called the manager and they said it was possibly because it was grass finished and therefore has a stronger taste.. huh??? First of all we eat very high quality grass fed and finished at home and never tasted that and secondly we have ordered this same burger here and it never tasted like that. Then she said it may have to do with the fact that they changed farm they get their meats from. Really do you think we are so dumb we cannot taste rotten meat? They did re-do our burgers with regular beef and it was ok but the gluten free bread was terrible. Was very crumbly and fell apart as I tried to eat the burger so I basically ditched the hands on burger experience and just ate the bottom bun with the meat with a fork and knife. The meal was still not good and after the rotten beef bite, our dinner experience was already "spoiled." They did attempt to make it right by offering us a milk shake.. yeah, we are milk intolerant so that was not gonna work. So it was either milkshake or nothing to make up for it... Second time in two weeks going here. First time, 6 of us. Good service, good food, but overcooked. Second time, 8 of us. Again, good service (?), good food, overcooked again. Indoors was pretty full so we decided to sit outside as to not crowd other meat-eaters. We were informed that "the owner doesn't want to turn the heaters on because it wastes propane". How much for a tank of propane and how much was our bill!?! And how many of us may not return? It's worth the drive to go to the 4th Street location. Better service, food is always cooked as ordered, and they stick to the shared menu these two locations use. I'm not too sure about the rating, torn between 2 and 3 stars. The server was doing his job well, and I'm hoping if the owner was on site he would have gladly turned the heaters on for us. It wasn't a bad experience, but I will hesitate to go back. I finally made it here and now I know why I waited so long. It is not that Superburger is bad, it's simply not Super. ExpensiveDecentBurger would be a more appropriate name. I will absolutely give them good ratings on service and ambiance; on a warm day dining on their patio. We had a classic bacon burger, fries, tots, hot dog, chicken nuggets, chili, and a couple of milk shakes. The burger was $11 w/o fries and was not as big as others have stated. Enough for one person but not big enough to share. It tasted good and the bun and meat was of good quality. The tots were average as were the fries. I actually liked the chili which was a bit sweet and spicy with beans and ground beef, served with onions and shredded cheddar cheese. The shakes tasted like syrup flavored vanilla ice cream. Regardless it is nice to have a local non-national burger place in Windsor. read more

Was craving a shake and was told they had the best. But what I got was far from it. My shakes were discolored and not mixed well. What was suppose to be a chocolate shake was a melted vanilla milk with a puddle of chocolate syrup on the bottom of my cup that grossed me out to the point that I couldn't drink it. I thought the burgers would be better but they were below sup par. My husband asked for his medium rare and got his well done. Every other bite of the burger tasted like eating a chunk of salt. I spent over $50 for 2 burgers, and 2 shakes and some fries. I wont be returning to spend money on something I can make better at home for less. read more

This location is clean looking and convenient to work. It looks like it is pretty new. The first time I came, I noticed that one of the servers was someone who waited on us at the Superburger on 4th. That was great because she is very friendly and efficient. She is definitely and asset to the business. Both times I have been in I have had a lettuce wrapped bacon cheeseburger. Both times it has provided a filling lunch. The second time I was in, the burger was a bit salty, but otherwise great. I am hard on burger places because a good burger is easy to make at home. Why pay a big price for something I can do myself for a quarter or a third as much? Well, I have to say that Superburger is a cut above most burger places. Oh Superburger, I have missed you so much! I used to visit the Penngrove joint many times before it was closed due to an unfortunate incident. I was very excited to hear that one would be opening in Windsor, all of a 5 minute max drive from my work! The location is excellent, located in the newly built Windsor shopping center right next to the Windsor Town Green. They really gave it a San Francisco industrial feel to it as it features a large roll up steel door with windows that is perfect for those hot or cold weather days. Parking is a breeze no matter what time of the day it is, due to the large lot where it is located. The staff has been hit or miss for me honestly, sometimes very attentive and extremely welcoming and others not so much. So onto the food! I have tried only their burgers here, shame on me, but when the burgers are as good as they are its hard to change your routine. I tend to go for the "Town and Country" option when grabbing a burger as it drops the burger size down to a smaller 5oz version, so you are not left with a food coma after leaving. If I really had to choose a go to burger to suggest, it may be the Montecito Avenue Burger, simple ingredients, yet downright tasty! Add in some sweet potato fries and or regular fries and you are set! Now, if you want to add a calorie bomb otherwise known as one of their delicious shakes, get ready for a woozy of a list as they offer quite a few. I have only had the chance to try the Toffee Crunch and Strawberry, which the latter did not impress too much, but the Toffee Crunch was pretty good. Yes, they offer other goodies, but I am such a sucker for my routine meals, that I feel guilty trying something new! The fourth street location will always be my favorite. This Superburger is a bit more updated and has more seating but a little less of the charm of sitting at the bar watching your waitress make your milkshake right in front of you. Last time I ordered the half and half (fries and tots) and they were just a hair away from being too dark. Very dry. The burgers are on point and huge. My girlfriend got the hot dog which was also a large portion. The milk shakes are to die for decadence just like at the original location. Definitely a welcome addition to the Windsor food scene! I have had SuperBurger at the old location in Santa Rosa growing up, but it had been a while, so I can't specifically compare. However my experience at this new Superburger location in Windsor made me happy. Too often lately I've settled for crappy burgers, but they were very good here. Cooked to the perfect medium rare that I requested, and the meat had some good seasoning. Too often I get an overcooked, or under-seasoned burger. I was happy with ours. The fries were nothing to write home about, and the onion rings were decent but unexciting. That being said, the $7 50/50 fries/onion rings was far more than the two of us could eat together. I have seen complaints here on Yelp about the service, but ours couldn't have been friendlier. Yes, it was a rainy day and the dining room was only at 10 percent capacity, but everyone I spoke with was friendly and helpful. tl:dr I'll definitely be back when I am in Windsor and have a burger craving. read more

The burgers are okay but expensive. For this money I would expect it to be cooked perfectly and this is the third time I've tried them. Much of the other food and the French fries are frozen, meh. How do you seriously charge this much and serve frozen and or processed food? Premium prices for frozen food. I am really disappointed with Superburger in Windsor lately. The customer service has gone downhill and the service and product just keeps getting worse. Tonight will be the last time I order from there. When Superburger first came to Windsor the burgers were amazing and I was really hoping they would succeed. I have been a fan of the ones in Santa Rosa for quite some time. Tonight we ordered to go for the family. When we placed our order they had told us some of the items were no longer available and they have been removed from the menu. Which is fine, I didn't mind that part. But they proceeded to tell us that the items were more expensive due to the minimum wage increase. Again, understandable. We finished our order and they said it would be about 10 minutes. My girlfriend goes to pick up the food and when she returns we realized they didn't include the ranch or BBQ sauce. Again, not a huge deal. More of an annoyance. But when we grabbed the tater tots and dumped them out they were literally like 10-15 tater tots. About 1/2 the size of the normal large order. We were splitting them between 4 people so we just figured they made a mistake and gave us a small but charged us for a large. Again, annoying but not a huge deal. Then I met my sandwich. It was heartbreak at first site (see picture). We had made it very clear that we did not want the spicy chipotle aioli and to put the sauce on the side. This is not just a preference. I recently had to have abdominal surgery and anything spicy will literally send me to the hospital. So at this point my girlfriend had enough and decided to call and complain. The customer service person was nice enough on the phone and was trying to make it right. She offered a refund or a meal comp which was nice. They even offered to give us more tater tots. Which was nice as well. My girlfriend ended up driving back to Superburger and got the sandwich that was remade. But she said the person that helped her was rude and annoyed with her. I do not know if it was the same person as the person we spoke to on the phone. My girlfriend asked about where she could get the BBQ sauce and the ranch for the tater tots and the host said "in the back" in a short tone. Then proceeded to grab her one of each and toss it in the bag. When she got back to the house the order was complete. The sandwich was correct with the correct sauce on the side. But the whole ordeal was more of a pain than anything. The total meal was $60 for 4 people and for that price. I would expect better food. Sadly, I didn't even end up eating it. I really use to like this place. But this was the final incident. The quality of the food continues to get worse and if they are going to charge more for lower quality food. I would rather look into other options. read more

It pains me to write this review because I was excited to have a new place in Windsor and I love a good burger. I went three times (only because my kids wanted to try it, and someone wanted me to meet them there so they could try it another time, not because I really wanted to go back!) All three times - terrible customer service at the front when you walk in. The girls at the front aren't the least bit welcoming, and almost seem perturbed that customers are walking in. I'm always a "hello with a smile" person....but apparently my charms don't even work on these girls. Last time I went, the girl was writing something down and didn't even look up to say anything at all! We had to "interrupt" her after a while. Food - The burgers are just ok. The shake selection is awesome. Onion rings are good. But everything is ala carte....no fries come with it, it's all extra. The bill at the end was a lot all 3 times, so I will opt to go somewhere nicer at this amount of money spent. As far as other customer service, the table next to us was saying something about the poor service and the guy who worked there was kind of arguing with them about it. Not a good idea! Another time, the beer someone ordered came incorrectly 3 times and they were getting pretty pissed. Overall - just not a great experience here AT ALL. I won't go back. read more

I ordered the cheeseburger with fixings and a soda de of tater tots and took my order to go. I'll say this: I've had better. Burger was pink inside, but not juicy and almost flavourless. Lettuce, tomato, pickle and red onion were the standard accompaniments and I'm glad I got a side of BBQ sauce to add flavour. Tots were ok. Maybe it'd be better if I dined in? Although the postage stamp dining area in the Windsor location is cramped and stuffy. Patio would be a great option in summer but in winter, you're kinda limited on where you can sit. I never thought I would be posting this. I called Superburger today to place an order to be picked up. I was put on hold. About 5 minutes later someone was talking and punching numbers 9n the phone as it was beeping in my ear. I said hello 3 to d's before being acknowledged only for the girl to tell me they weren't taking orders. I asked why and she told me it was due to staffing. I said so you are turning business away? She responded really! I said whatever you just lost a customer. I don't understand what taking a phone order to be picked up gas to do with staffing. I drive by the restuarant anyway and they were open with nobody in line. So because of the employees you just lost a customer who would have ordered from you at least 4 times in the next 2 weeks as I'm working in the area. read more

Came here on a very rainy Friday at 11:30 am. We barely beat the lunch rush. I wouldn't recommend coming here on a rainy day since their patio isn't open and they are lacking inside space. Regardless of how busy it was our server was great. She was on it! There are tons of options for the burgers and I really liked sizing mine down to a 5 ouncer. The bun was tasty and the veggies were crisp and fresh. The fries are delicious. No lemonade which I was a little bummed about. Overall I was happy with my experience but it'll probably be a while before I come back. read more

I'm excited to have them in Windsor but they have some things to work on. The service is really slow which will hopefully be corrected since they are still pretty new. The burgers are good and big especially considering the high price for a burger and fries. The kids meal is a good deal for a fair price. I'm pretty irritated that I bought a $30 gift card for a friend and there was a $2 extra charge for the card. Really??... Let's see here. This is my first time at Super Burger in Windsor, my first impression is that the people working here are very friendly. Food is beyond delicious I had ordered a bacon cheese burger medium and it was yummy with some onion rings. They don't charge for ranch which is 50cents - 1 dollar at most places. My husband ordered a bacon cheese burger as well with chili cheese fries the amount that they give you for the sides are insane. It can feed up to 2 people. Very well like this place and will be coming back soon. Next time I will order one side . I give 4 stars because for 2 people we spent over $40. read more

Superburger is locally (Santa Rosa area) owned and operated. They offer a fast food style menu with table service and metal cutlery (I hate plastic-ware!). Their menu includes over a dozen different burgers and a nice assortment of sides. The meat, including grass fed beef ($2 option), is cooked to order. Hot Dogs, charbroiled chicken sandwiches and milk shakes round out the menu. Local brews on tap or by the bottle. I like their Mushroom Swiss Burger w/ Garlic Fries and Beer Battered Onion Rings. Make a trip to the pickle bar for some extra dills and a couple of pepperoncinis, too, if you like. On top of all that is their great service. Friendly inviting staff who make sure that the place is clean and you enjoy yourself. read more

Tried Super Burger again to make sure my first experience was just a bad day for them. This time I ordered the patty melt. It came out perfectly medium the way I ordered --phew! I was disappointed that they put only one thin slice of swiss cheese on this burger; swiss cheese doesn't really melt well so there was no cheesy melty goodness to be had on this patty "melt". Beware they are gonna charge you $4 for fries and give you enough for 3-4 people. Why not just make the burgers a couple bucks more and give a much smaller portion of fries WITH the burger? Seems like a shameless cash grab doing the "a la carte" thing at a burger joint. Service is just OK. Friendly but you can't expect the waitress to notice your empty glass of ice tea. You are probably gonna have to flag her down like I did after waiting for a while to be offered more. The burger patties are perfectly round which makes me think they don't make their own patties. My daughter got the grill cheese and didn't much care for it. I was excited that Windsor would have a great burger joint but super burger is just OK burger in my book. read more

LOVE Superburger, but a little disappointed in this location. The restaurant was pretty empty but service was super slow. We waited over a half hour for our food (two burgers and a 1/2&1/2) and our waiter never came to check on us or see if we needed more drinks--In fact, the three servers there were scarce and didn't check in on anyone or apologize for the delay. There were a lot of unhappy/hungry people. Overall the food was just as delicious as the other locations (seriously, BEST BURGER) but the service will make me think twice about going here again. read more

I love the Windsor Superburger, my family and I have been coming in for years, ever since they first opened. Each month they come out with amazing specials which my husband loves to try! I love their large portions of fries and milkshakes too. I always encounter super friendly staff that are patient with my questions.
