The onion rings were way over cooked Amma not edible. The fries tasted like they were cooked in old grease. The burger was okay but having to eat outside in the cold made the food get cold fast and not worth the expensive lunch. Having shade covers and high heaters does not make it warm at all. read more

First off, the view from the patio, jar of fresh flowers and refreshing cross breeze set the perfect initial tone! Patty Melt! Couldn't have been better.... It's a classic "diner" burger and I was so pleased. The bread was not griddled so it wasn't greasy at all. I appreciated that. The meat was flavorful and caramelized onions were plentiful. We love the Windsor Superburger for so many reasons. Staff is always number one for me. I can overlook other faults if the staff is friendly, helpful, and happy. So 5 stars for this off the bat. Carl was especially helpful on our last visit. The place is clean and pleasant. We like sitting on the patio watching families enjoy their meals and the world go by. Heat lamps are helpful as the weather cools. We love the Town and Country Burger. Loaded with tomatoes, onions, and lettuce, makes this a fantastic, fresh tasting burger experience. Love that they use grass fed beef...5 stars! And the onion rings...they are sooo good. Crispy, hot, and fresh every time. We have to divide them evenly to ensure we each get our fare share. 3.5 to almost 4 I'd say. Clean food, friendly service. I've never been to the other one so I can't really comment about a comparison. The heaters were a bit high considering how windy it was so they weren't as effective. I kinda wish there were better vegetarian options but I figured that if I go to a burger place I should get some type of meat right? So I did. I got Bill's Pesto Mushroom Chicken and a large side of tots to split with a compatriot. The tots were good, nice n crispy n fresh when they came out. The chicken was good but a bit dry, mushrooms were well cooked, the pesto was a little underwhelming despite the amount so it could do for a pick me up there. I got a side of the gartichoke sauce to try just for a taste of something different. I'd say that sauce is legit and should go on way more things but that's just my opinion. Bear in mind if you also want to add any little side veggies or sauces aside from the gartichoke there is a lil bar of ingredients near the entrance right as you walk in. Can't miss it. It didn't wow me or anything though and the follow through on the food left a bit to be desired. But other than that I've always been seated and have had my order taken in 10 minutes or less... Maybe those were just impatient or "late going somewhere" reviewers... But I digress! The Bacon cheeseburger is my favorite, especially if you ask them for a side of bbq sauce w\ diced garlic to dip it in. Price wise it can be on the high side. My bacon cheeseburger and coke usually run me about $15 after tip. If I order the town and country version of the bacon cheeseburger its about $12.50 after tip. The staff are wonderful and very attentive, i once spilled my bbq sauce all over the table and floor and before I could begin cleaning it up they already were on their way eith another cup of sauce and telling me not to worry about it, they'd clean it up. So disappointed vs the original location. This one is without soul, completely generic, and feels just like any other CA burger chain. I will not be back. 5 pm Friday: upon entry the only other party in the place is one dad with FIVE elementary school kids. A few minutes after we walk in - a mom comes in with two more elementary school kids and sits at a separate table. Within a few minutes - all seven kids in the restaurant are out out of their seats and wandering. Not my kind of place. Meanwhile, there are literally 5 bored very young employees all standing together near the register with nothing to do. Ultimately, one more party arrived during our time there - a couple who brought their dog with them. Ugh! I wanted a lamb burger - but no lamb here today. The $7 garlic fries were weak (and expensive!). We ended up with a $32 bill incl tax/tip for two burgers (not lamb; nor grass fed) and one shared order of fries and no drinks. Not good value. I like the old-style horseshoe counter and the employees/vibe of the original location. This place feels more like a Chuck-E-Cheese which serves beer/wine. What I can't figure out is WHY anyone would come here unless you are coming with a minivan full of kiddies (plus perhaps a dog or two). Childless/dogless adults - avoid this place. We called from 700 to 740 pm. I called 40 times in forty minutes and guess what no one answered the phone. So, while my son was at superburger he could hear the phone ringing. BEST BURGER I'VE EVER HAD! We live in Sonoma and traveled to Windsor just to get away for a few days. This place was so amazing we ate there 2 nights in a row. I got the McDonald burger (mushrooms, blue cheese and garlic sauce), I still drool when I think about it and will be coming to Windsor more often... My husband and son both got hot dogs and loved them, and with my 8 year old that is really saying something as he doesn't like anything! He doesn't like potatoes but he picked tater tots for his side and actually thought they were alright, and let me say they were more than alright because I don't even like tater tots but I ate every single one of them. And don't get me started on the milkshakes. I had the peanut butter chocolate the first night and caramel swirl with chocolate and vanilla the 2nd night. I only wish they were smaller so everyone could order something different. One shake will easily feed 3 people and they are delicious. Even the location and the ambiance of outside with the heaters and side flaps when the sun was going down was perfect. They need a burger joint like this in Sonoma. Lastly, if you're a vegetarian, don't go to a burger place and then give it a bad rating on Yelp for not serving something different. This is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review. I wouldn't sleep tonight if I didn't take the time to put thought to "paper". My daughter asked if I wanted to get Super Burger delivered tonight. Sounded like a great idea. I believe by Door Dash. I ordered a Blue Cheese burger and tater tots. The food was here about 20 or so minutes later. Really quick! I was hungry too. I opened the box with my burger and was stunned! The presentation of the burger in the beautiful brioche bun with the condiments thoughtfully arranged by its side were perfect. The lettuce pieces were gorgeous, like someone selected only the most perfect ones from the head. Beautiful and glistening green with oblique triangle shapes. Not hunks of heart lettuce that bulge out the bun and don't lay flat. No, these were perfect. The red onions were sliced and arranged perfectly on top the lettuce, looked crisp and sweet. On top of the onions was a dramatic crimson red ripe tomato slice that looked like it could have been grown in the Garden of Eden. I ordered a medium rare burger with blue cheese. The burger looked like a lovingly hand crafted work of art with a kings portion of blue cheese perfectly arranged on top. We also order a regular size order of Tots. They came in a cool white and black checkered diner style paper container folded like a fresh pressed collared shirt. I transferred the meal to a plate, adorned the burger with the amazing vegetables and saddled up the tots next to it with a good squeeze of ketchup. So at this point, I can't wait to dig in. Look, I really could go on and on, but let me just say, I can only aspire to make a burger this good. I don't know what seasoning they use or type of beef they select, but it is truly mind blowing. It's no joke, thee best tasting burger I've had. Cooked to perfection. And the Tots..... oh man.... wow. Cooked perfectly as well. Awesome crunchy outside and delicious soft potato cloudy inside. My biggest complaint about eating out is that I wish people cared about making a meal for someone else. Put a little effort into it, ya know? Well, this meal tonight, was prepared by someone trying to impress a king. I'm not a king, and maybe my order got switched, but I don't think so. Massive props and gratitude to all the people who made this meal make it to my table. The order taker who didn't miss a thing. The chef who knows how to make epic food. On this visit, I went back to my normal St Helena burger. I was still underwhelmed. The burger was slightly more flavorful than what I had my previous visit. I don't think that's saying much. We also got the fries/rings combo. Still good, but then again they're basic fries and onion rings. Service was good. Can't complain about that. I really want to like this place. I've eaten here a bunch of times, but was always too torn between how good the burgers are and how bad the fries are to review. I really, really dig the burgers (Especially the montecito burger) but the fries are brown EVERY TIME. I have worked in many restaurants and I know brown fries = old oil. Change the oil, change the quality. It's frustrating because a burger needs fries, and no matter how good a burger is if I can't get it with decent fries it isn't worth it. So I'm probably gonna give them one more chance, but if the fries are brown again I'm done. Also, the hot dog is not a hot dog. I got The Bacon Classic, RARE with a side order of the half and half fries + onion rings. They have Henhouse beers on tap - score! I'm a burger junkie and I always judge how a patty is cooked. Very few places nail a burger rare and these guys aced it. My spouse ordered his medium rare and it was also spot on. The side order of fries and onion rings were hot and crunchy and more than enough to share. The setting is very minimal and clean. It was a bit chilly inside, but I noticed a few people sitting outside with some heavy duty heaters above. I will definitely return. My first experience here was not a good one. Walked in for a to-go order and their wait time was 45-50 minutes. I get that they were busy - we set a timer after placing our order and ran some errands. When I went to pick up our order 40 minutes later, it was sitting outside on a patio table. Now it was 110 degrees out so my food didn't get cold but the milkshakes were outside too. I asked for them to be remade since they were more milky than shake-y and was told that "it's because they're made with soft serve". I was asked back to back by two friends to go to SUPERBURGER after I had just left on an overcast Monday. Of course this would happen to the extreme burger fan that I am. With grass fed beef patties and ginormous stinky garlic fries on the menu I had a delicious trip both visits. We even had room for their massive shakes made with local NorCal Crystal Creamery, I've never been to a place with so many shake flavor choices, 27 on the menu alone and Im wondering if I can get a mix next time!! They also serve them with an extra thick straw, this makes it so much better, it's a detail only real shake lovers get. The menu here includes surprise options with flavors you don't see in other burger shops like pineapple coleslaw I have yet to try that but I'll be getting it next time.
