Usually I stick to the Supercuts in my neighborhood. Since I was in the area finishing up errands I figured I'd stop and get my hair tended to. I walk in at 4 in the afternoon, no customers are present. I sign in, say hello to the stylist sitting in the back and wait, and wait, and wait. I could hear her talking to someone next to her. Maybe they were on a lunch break or something, I can understand that. However it's common courtesy to at least acknowledge that there is a customer present. Let me know that It will be a ten minute wait or something. Don't just look up from your gossip fest and go back to it. I can't even say there was any kind of service. 1 star is too much. read more

Therefore decided to give a try again but the guy over there did the worst haircut even after me showing the hairstyle in the photo thrice. I'm not usually a fan of supercuts, I've tried once or twice before and ended up with the same result. The only reason I went other than it's literally next door to my work, was that it was finally getting hot and with my hair being so thick and heavy, I decided it was time for a change. I had been looking into a lot of short hairstyles, I've always been the traditional "bob with layers" kind of person for YEARS, and I finally wanted something dramatic, new, clean. Just something that I could literally run my fingers through and not have to use 2 boxes of dye to color my hair. I went in with the expectation of getting what I wanted, something short, classy and new. Waited for almost an hour, watched two stylists take their time on two gentleman, followed by waxing 2 people's eyebrows. I finally got my turn. Told my stylist what I wanted, told her my story. She brushed me off, gave me a book to show her what I wanted. When I told her that I wanted something short, and I have wavy hair so short wouldn't be a terrible idea, she told me that "it takes too much work to take care of". Well that maybe true, but it's something I wanted to try. She closed my fingers in the book, and flipped over to the medium hairstyles (what I was sporting at the time) and showed me a picture of a girl with super frizzy, unmanageable hair that looks just dried out. She first told me that, that picture is what I looked like. Corrected herself to that's what my hair looked like. She told me what she thought would look "good". The end result ended up with me having the same length hair, with "long layers". My layers are uneven, some looks cut, and some just looks like it was left alone. So it all feels just everywhere. I said that I'm always the person that GOT LAYERS...not that I needed anymore...so I need to take my uneven hairstyle to someone who can fix it...hopefully..Well at least now it'll be short...don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing now. At least I can say, that I won't be going back. Oh yeah, they also advertise some sort of massage when you get a "supercut"....I've been there twice and only seen the guys get it...I thought that this was "Supercuts" not "Sport Clips". read more

Supercuts was really great! I really enjoyed the experience! The hair stylist, Brandy really did the best job ever. I love my cut because it was very minimal and exactly what I wanted. She also asked me questions about what I wanted with my hair and she did just that. I will remember Brandy's cutting skills and I hope to return. I've been to a few different places in the last two years since moving to Austin, including the nearby Floyds, but this place does a much better job and at a better rate too. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for someone to be available, and I've never walked away and felt like they did a bad job, which is something I can rarely say at any other hair dresser/barber. read more

NO. Every single time I go there, I look like shit. Very simple, but I look like a science experiment gone wrong. Waiting almost an hour for someone after me with a brood of kids was also not so good. Sorry, but I have to go to work, can't look like a snowball took a dump on my head, and you and your ten million kids need to wait in line. Request? No, it should be "first come, first served". Not at all okay to make me wait so someone can screw around with having all their kid's hair cut when I just want too not look like crap, and walk out of the place looking like crap anyways. I've been coming here on and off for the past few years. Each experience has been okay for the most part. Today however has made me want to keep coming back. My stylist Denise listened to what I wanted to do and she even recomended what would be better for my type of hair. I'm glad I listened; she is the ONLY one to have gotten exactly how it needs to be.
