    The end result of the haircut

    This review is specifically for the poor customer service and attitude given by Sabrina today towards my 4 year old son and me. We came in 10 minutes early for an appointment (not walk-in). They are very specific on times and if you show up too late won't cut your hair(understandable). We waited quietly for Sabrina to finish which she did 5 minutes after my appointment. When it was our turn a walk-in came to the counter and started showing Sabrina random pictures that he was googling at the time to see if she could do it. After watching this go back and forth for 5 minutes I finally spoke up, saying we are next. Her reaction is "I'm helping someone ". I reminded her we had a reservation 10 minutes past. She continued with the gentleman until all his questions were answered and finally said she was ready, and not nicely. Off the bat she had an attitude and her demeanor was so unprofessional I was in shock. I tried showing her pics of what I wanted versus what his hair could actually do but she barely looked. Pretty much wanted longer on top, slowly fading down, but not so long that it was in his eyes. She asked if my son was going to be "too squirmy" and if so she couldn't cut his hair. I responded with we've been waiting a bit but he'll be fine. I tried talking about his haircut and length again in which her professional response was "well what number on the clipper do you want?!?" Umm Im not a hairstylist, or a guy, why would I know that? She pointed to some pic on the wall and said "this is a number 2, will that work?" I responded with sure, not really knowing and not having her hear me out in the first place. Her small talk consisted of asking me where he normally gets his haircut, I respond with a location in Thousand Oaks, ask if she's heard of it, and her response was "I live in Oxnard". Who says that?? She then BUTCHERED my sons hair, shaving it to the top with the number 2 clippers. I asked what her game plan was and she said that maybe I should wait for the other hairstylist since she was better with children. She then said she was too uncomfortable to continue. I then asked the other lady to take over in which she wasn't comfortable at first (understandable, shes been watching the back & forth between Sabrina and I, awkward) but I pointed out that I can't let my kid walk out like that. At that point my kiddo was the uncomfortable one and scared. The other stylist was kind, took over, and turned the hot mess Sabrina created into a good haircut. Not the haircut I wanted and significantly shorter, but she at least didn't let him leave with a chop job. The thing I need to hone in on is that the customer was 4. He was soo excited to have his haircut, it was his idea, had me book the appointment last minute, and Sabrina completely killed his joy. She made it about her problem with me, whatever that was, and didn't put a professional, happy face on for a little boy. I couldn't say anything at the time because I didn't want to create a scene in front of him, but Im definitely saying something now. And in case she lied about her name, she worked today, wears glasses and has bleached blonde hair with dark roots. Edit post: I washed my sons hair and dried it this morning and got the final result of what his hair cut turned out like. Terrible.

    Came to this store to correct a job they did at another Supercuts. They got the color right but got hair dye over the collar of my shirt. This was December 26. Because they fixed another stores mistake, they didn't charge me. It's December 31. None of the hair color put in on the 26 is left in my hair. Let me tell you I paid 80 for one store to bleach my hair and dye it red and another store to dye my hair (and shirt) eggplant. The eggplant dye is mostly out of both my hair and shirt now. Original store said they'd have to charge me to correct the hair color because it was the other stores fault; they must've used semi permanent dye. Even though it was their original mistake and they offered me no refund. This store initially told me to come back in the second to get it fixed as they were closing and didn't have time to fix it. When she realized this was my third go around with them, she said never mind we will fix it for a charge. They also blamed me for one, bleaching my hair, which I didn't request or know about until it was done, and also not requesting permanent dye. Uh, I want to permanently cover up the mistake your other store made forever means semi permanent? Let me ask you, after two stores getting it wrong, would you trust either store with 70 more of your hard earned dollars? I called corporate and the district manager is due to contact me since neither of her stores can take accountability for the wrong that's on my head. Hopefully I'll end up with some money back since I'll need to find another hairdresser at another studio who can fix me.

    My hairdresser was unavailable for a root touch up so I cold called and spoke with Carol who quoted…read moreme $80 for the job. After the service I mentioned the color was too light and she insisted it wasn't. Even solicited a colleague's opinion (something I learned was common practice in salons with unhappy customers). She stated it looked lighter due to "the lighting " and sent me on my way up charging me an additional $30. Being uncomfortable and conflict avoidant, I paid and tipped 15%. When I got home I took pics of the color in various lighting. Instead of a gray streak, I had a light brown one. She offered to do a repeat however, I did not trust her judgement and gaslighting tendencies. Said I was willing to have a redo by the owner of the shop which she was non-responsive to. She offered a $90 refund less her "product fee". She never replied to my question regarding the price increase. Carol was delightful to converse with during the service rendered. She probably does a fine job with her normal clients. For me and this root job, she missed the mark. Her attempts to convince me it was the right color, just angers me. I communicated with the owner via text after leaving a few VM's. She apologized for the experience and had no comment regarding the increased price. I'm hitting the box and doing it myself if I'm ever in this situation again!
