I use Supercuts when I cannot go to my usual stylist and everytime I leave happy with the service, my hair and the price. I very much like this location across from the Roxy because it's super easy to get in and out and a good experience. On a recent trip, I had to wait upon arrival. It was the first time I had to wait when here but it was only 5 minutes. I could have done the reservation/check in before going so I had no one to blame for the wait. (It was only a few minutes but could have been longer so you may wish to schedule a time before you go.) I got a simple cut and was very happy with it. The total cost was $27 plus tip. Spotted this SuperCuts across the parking lot, just as I was overdue for a re-up on shampoo. Popped in, made my product selection and was stopped in my tracks. "What's your phone number or email?" the employee followed protocol. "Hey just grabbing this shampoo, no rewards program necessary". And here's where it got ridiculous. "Sorry we can't sell it without your membership" So hold on, I need to endure a constant barrage of spam email and tolerate continual marketing texts, just to pick up this shampoo here? Reeeeealy frustrated when she took a walk in person at my scheduled time and after a half hour later, she was catering to his numerous complaints and to keep changing his haircut. Today was my first time at Supercuts in Camarillo. Jocelyn colored my roots and gave my hair a straight & sleek blow-dry. I am thrilled with the results! Next month I am going back to have her layer my long hair, and a blow-dry. Honestly, I was a little skeptical going in. I had such a terrible experience today. I went for a birthday blow out and was paired with Tina. For the most of my blow out, my back was to the mirror. When she finished, she turned me around and told me I was all done. I couldn't believe how poorly my hair was blown out. Fly always and baby hairs were not smoothed out, and my curls were still apparent. When I voiced my disappointment, Tina gave me the worst attitude, and tried to use excuses as to why my hair wouldn't straighten out (oily, need product, who knows what else) When I asked her to straighten the parts that were obviously not done, she said there was an extra fee. I went home after a $50 blow out to only wash and redo my birthday blow out. I thought I was legit being pranked or something. Way to start my special day. When I checked out and decided not to leave a tip, my stylist didn't even bother to respond when I said "thank you" read more

I just got a haircut with Jaime and it was easily hands down the most attention anyone has ever given to the hairs on my head. She was extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable. Most stylists like to rush and give a generic haircut, but my experience with Jaime was superb. You can really tell she cares; and its especially noticeable with the delicate things like taking on/off your mask earloops or gently pushing your ear out of the way to trim the hair around it, or even just wiping your neck with a hot tea tree towel! The final haircut result looks fantastic! I've been to various barbershops and even other Supercuts. The experience I received today with Jaime was hands down the best. The attention to detail and level of care she gave when cutting my hair was unmatched by any barber I've been to. The experience I received was one I'd expect at a top salon/barber who charges hundreds. 10/10! Consider it a privilege to get a such a quality haircut for such an inexpensive price! She gave an amazing scalp massage when she washed my hair, made sure to give me exactly the trim I was looking for & she also blow dried it very nicely! Vanessa was great but she left here. They could have made things right so easily. I went here for about 8 haircuts that were always done well. The last time I went, however, I took Jocelyn's word that the back of my head had been cut properly, and I didn't look too hard at it. Not long, maybe a week, after that cut, I noticed that the hair on my neckline was much longer that the hair on my head just above. (And the hair on my head grows faster than that on my neck, btw.) Anyway, I brushed it off. But then I got a comment about how bad it looked. So I took my clippers to it. Then I called them up and told them what had occurred. They made me wait a while, before checking it, something that could have been fixed in 3-4 minutes tops. All I wanted was to have it evened out. And I had been walking around with it like that for weeks already. Not much to ask, just make sure it's even. They wanted to charge me for an entire new haircut, and my hair is still really short. I told them I won't be back. And that I'd write a review. I didn't think that I had to really be a stickler that. Make sure you check their work. It could have been handled so much better. They made me feel like I was trying to get over on them, when I was really just trying to get the work corrected that wasn't done right the first time. I tipped the first girl 7.00 for that first cut. Never again. read more

I've been going to Supercuts at various locations for literally decades without any complains ... until recently. A couple of haircuts ago, I went to the location on Verdugo and the stylist cut my hair WAY shorter than I had requested. My friends and family made fun of me for weeks. Why did she ask me how short to cut it if she was just going to ignore what I said? I made sure to avoid that stylist going forward. (Which was not hard as it seems they have a very high turnover.) A couple of haircuts later, at the same location, another stylist gave me the ABSOLUTE WORST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER HAD in my 56 years. When I put on my glasses to see what he had done, I saw that he had put the part just barely over my ear. He had done some kind of weird Napoleon comb-forward nonsense on one side ... and only one side. (I always comb my hair straight back, so I don't know where he got the idea I would like something like that). The hair was all uneven and sticking up on top. It was lopsided. I was not happy at all and told him to let me out of there so I could go find someone who can fix what he had done. I honestly do not believe this dude had any kind of training. Fortunately, my wife used to cut hair and was able to salvage it somewhat. So I ended up paying Supercuts $29 for a haircut that you could not have paid me any amount of money to be seen with. I am done with Supercuts forever! The search is on for a new place to get my hair cut. read more

I got my haircut at this location 2 months ago and again I got a bad haircut. I don't understand why stylists can do a layered haircut when is the most common and the easiest haircut. I ended up with my sides and the back too short when I specifically said not too cut it short because my hair shrinks a lot. Now I have a mullet, the sides are not blended with the back. I am very upset, this happens every time I get my haircut. I have to wait two months before I can have it fixed. read more

I just wanted to update my experience. Carrie and Robyn both reached out to me. Due to some scheduling conflict it took about a week for me to be able to come in and have the service re-done that was offered. Shay was an absolute ray of sunshine. She knew who I was as I walked in the door, greeted me by name, and was the kindest person I may have ever met. Shay ensured that my hair was very well washed and blow dried it until it was 100% dry. She treated me with so much kindness and brought me so much joy. I was not asked to delete or update this review by anyone from supercuts, I just truly wanted to do the honest and just thing to prove that Carrie and Robyn care about each client, no matter if it's a first time or regular. I am very thankful that I got to know the staff more and definitely have another perspective of the business and management. I start the review, that I have been a customer of Supercuts for over 25 years. I have had many good experiences, and am a big supporter of the brand. I was surprised when a third location, but this one is less than a mile away from my house, so I gave it a shot. I have to say that I am very happy with this location. The staff, especially Marija (Maria) has been very kind, professional, and gives great hair cuts. Maria has worked at another location in Newbury Park/Thousand Oaks, so this location is closer for her in Camarillo, so for her to have this store a success, is very important. I have had other stylists at the salon cut my hair and they have all been great. I hope that the seasoned citizen of Leisure Village, ACHS kids and families, and Mission Oaks residents support this salon, as it is a great location. I am glad to say that this salon is progressing well and doing great. They are very busy all of the time and business is excellent for them, which is awesome. read more

Got there... had an appointment for 12pm, and they just look at while I sit down. The lady finally told the guy to check me in. I told them I checked in online(because they didn't check me in). I sit there until 12:30 when the lady tell me to wear a mask. She didn't look at me when I walked in and now she notices? I told her I was not required to wear it last month while in there. She said "I'm sorry" and I said "me too" and told her I was suppose to be seen 30 minutes ago and would leave. Lady(I think Tina) was rude the last time I was in there as well. My barber's been on vacation and I thought I'd give this place a try. The location has plenty of parking. Parking wasn't an issue with the movie theater nearby. Everyone greeted me when I arrived. Paulina cut my hair and recommended an awesome shampoo wash that smelled amazing. I loved how quick checking in was even though most chairs where full. My cut turned out amazing! She really listened to how I like my hair cut. She was very friendly and the hot towels are ACTUALLY hot. Some place don't even offer that. One to many horror stories from other budget chains, simply trying to get a little work done. Supercuts did not disappoint. Price is fair $$ compared to other chains, worth the talent. Why have an online check in if you're still going to have to wait. We checked in online got there plenty of time. Still had to wait 10 minutes. Is what it is good when we got up to get the haircut. She said she only had 10 minutes to do haircut because she had another appointment. My daughter wanted to wash and blow-dry and haircut she said we would have to wait another 20 minutes. There were still three people ahead of us who just walked in and not had done an online check-in. He's fast food haircut places are a joke they give crappy haircuts anyway.
