I wanted my makeup to be more natural and she did a perfect job of making me feel glammed up for the special day but still look like myself! Our wedding lasted hours and actually ended up dancing in the rain! When I got back to my hotel room, my makeup was still perfect- I was shocked!! I randomly found her online and visited her shop a couple months before to do a trial. I felt so pretty, I booked her on the spot. We used airbrush foundation at the trial, but on the day of my wedding, it wasn't setting properly, so she washed it all off and started from scratch with liquid foundation and the result was fabulous. My makeup stayed on all day/night through LOTS of dancing and sweating! Lindsay was absolutely amazing and I recommend her to anyone who needs a makeup artist for their special day. =)

I walked in and the aesthetic of the salon was so cute and was greeted by my stylist, Lauren, who I soon found out was actually the owner - how lucky! She was so sweet, very communicative, gave advice on what she recommended for my hair and got straight to it. I did a really good deep treatment with steam which I've never done and is supposed to be really great to open up the hair follicles and I will say my hair was so silky smooth after! And most notable, she is the only stylist that has ever blow dried my hair and didn't burn my neck or ears with the heat. 10/10 experience overall and will be back. Thanks so much, Lauren!!

She responded to my inquiry text right away and a few texts later, I was all booked! Her studio is inside the John of Italy Salon. Parking lot is big and right next to entrance, so that's easy. Inside the space are floor to ceiling windows, so there is a ton of natural light, which definitely helps Hidi give you the best, most flawless application. I asked her for brown/golden smokey glam and she absolutely nailed it. Throughout the appointment she would hand me the mirror to check-in and make sure I was happy with how things were progressing, which was super nice. Each time she handed me the mirror, I was more and more in love with her work. By the end of the appointment, I was literally staring at myself in the mirror in awe and feeling/looking like a million bucks. She also did light styling on my hair and gave me soft, gorgeous waves. Honestly, I walked out of the salon, looking like a movie star. The event was super hot and everyone was sweating, but miraculously my makeup stayed put. Thank God Hidi made sure to lock it all in with several finishing sprays -- that definitely saved me. I will absolutely book with Hidi again and I'm so glad I found her. She is professional, kind and beyond talented. If you're looking for a MUA in the west valley, look no further.

After the service I mentioned the color was too light and she insisted it wasn't. Even solicited a colleague's opinion (something I learned was common practice in salons with unhappy customers). She stated it looked lighter due to "the lighting " and sent me on my way up charging me an additional $30. Being uncomfortable and conflict avoidant, I paid and tipped 15%. When I got home I took pics of the color in various lighting. Instead of a gray streak, I had a light brown one. She offered to do a repeat however, I did not trust her judgement and gaslighting tendencies. Said I was willing to have a redo by the owner of the shop which she was non-responsive to. She offered a $90 refund less her "product fee". She never replied to my question regarding the price increase. Carol was delightful to converse with during the service rendered. She probably does a fine job with her normal clients. For me and this root job, she missed the mark. Her attempts to convince me it was the right color, just angers me. I communicated with the owner via text after leaving a few VM's. She apologized for the experience and had no comment regarding the increased price. I'm hitting the box and doing it myself if I'm ever in this situation again!
