I've been going here for a couple of years. Never again! Always bad service over past few years and stunning rudeness and danger yesterday. I arrived on time and my stylist was late picking up her lunch. In meantime, I'm told by receptionist to sit in stylist's chair. Stylist walks in and yells at me to get out of her chair as it hasn't been disinfected yet from serving last customer, and then I'm RUDELY told by stylist that she's running behind and needs to go to eat her lunch, so almost 1/2 hour behind in total for my appointment. I told her that wasn't acceptable, that I wanted my appointment time respected. I was then called a "bitch" and told my hair would not be cut, as she disappeared into back of shop. I had a similar experience with this stylist last year (waiting 20 minutes past my appt time) while she told me off and ate her lunch, but I kept silent. Supercuts head office and Marin Dept of Health need to be notified, particularly regarding the safety issues and voluminous bad reviews. Same stylist also consistently criticizes work of her colleagues, which is uncomfortable for client. Another incident -- my mother went there for a wash and trim last year and a different stylist was so rushing and rough with her, he knocked her out of the washing station chair and her back was injured. read more

Came in to Supercuts on a slow Monday morning to get my haircut on my day off, I was hoping to be in and out. Unfortunately only one person was on shift and since I didn't call ahead I was behind the que of everyone that came in. He didn't tell me or any other walk ins that he was booked for another hour. Kept saying a coworker was going to show up. Look I do retail, you can't always control a bad situation, but you can minimize damage. Make sure all the customers know when they will be helped. I sat for 30 minutes before I got fed up and spent my money elsewhere. I thought I would give this place another chance after not going here for a year, but the bad customer service pervades. I'm going to wait for the local barber in larkspur even if he's gone for another week. read more

2 stars='meh', that about sums it up. Rude service (never before have I had someone tell me they wouldn't do what I asked, which was to trim 1" off the ends of my hair?), mediocre haircuts. I only go here between regular (expensive) cuts to keep my ends looking healthy. In the past they were much friendlier and considerate-only lately that the staff take a rude approach to customers. The haircut I got was so far past the worst I've ever gotten. I showed this guy a picture and he cut way shorter on the sides and started cutting the top, also very short. Then after he already started cutting the top he asked me how short i wanted it. I told him that I wanted it like the picture but he said he wouldn't do that. So I told him just a little off the top then. He cut it to nearly a crew cut. My hair was about 5 inches long on top before this. read more

This place has 5 chairs, yet I've never been in the place when they have more than 2 stylist! But there are always at least 5 people packed in the waiting area. So the wait ends up being at least 45 minutes. The Supercuts app to book an appointment. You book it and show up on time and they always claim it is 'broken' when you get there. read more

Sorry, but the barbers at Supercuts do not understand English and can not cut mens hair. Apparently they also lack any natural ability in the skill they practice. I stated clearly that I wanted to have him trim my hair on the sides (tapered) above the ears, so he proceeded to shave ALL of my hair off at the same length. Took him 4 minutes. I have been going to Amy now for 1.5 years and she is amazing. Not only is she friendly, but she is also very meticulous with my hair and always does a wonderful job. I am in my 40's, have had my haircut by multiple barbers and stylists over the years throughout the Bay Area and Amy hands down is the BEST!!! I can depend on Amy to be consistent and cut it perfectly every time I come in. I hope management appreciates what a great stylist they have in Amy. Don't go here This super cuts is horrible I got a hair cut that ruined my hair for about a year, all different lengths in different places. Asked for a trim turned out to be a mohawk with a buzz on the side as well as in the back. I think the employees are inexperienced and don't know how to cut hair how people want them too. If you care about how you and your hair looks spend the extra dollar and get a decent hair cut. They screwed up my dads haircut and he barely has any hair read more

this place is really the bottom of the hair cutting barrel, they do not cut hair well, both my husband, kids and I have all gotten terrible hair cuts here. They always seem to cut about 20% more that you ask to be taken off. We won't be going back. read more

Do NOT come here. I made a reservation on the App. Arrived on time. One lady working there who told me she was booked for the day. So even with the appointment, she couldn't do it. I said I could wait, I didn't mind. She looked at the clock and said "no, sorry". No other stylist working on a Sunday- weekends are busy and to not have another stylist is mismanagement. No courtesy to call and cxl on the app. The app is not functional then- fake appointments. Try at your own risk. This place is always flying by the seat of its pants. Agree with all of the reviews. Most of the people are a little hurried and grumpy but ask for Kim. She takes her time and is a pleasure I have had her cut my daughters hair and today mine. She listened and did just what I asked. Going back for sure. read more

I've never really been satisfied with the haircut I get at supercuts. It never really fits my face shape or hair texture. They always try to make you buy their products and they aren't very nice either, just the way they talk to you during your haircut. The only things I like about this place are the prices and they do highlighting pretty well, I'm quite satisfied with that. read more

I have had hair cuts from Kim and Kimmie. Would go back to either but Kimmie handled an odd natural wave with excellence with the first swipe of of the scissors after warning her about the spot. Both women are friendly with some warm banter. Kimmie generous gave style and hair health tips for me also that I really appreciated. Had made an online check-in at 4:15pm via the app. Despite that and arriving 15 min before the appointment, was made to wait an additional 45 min whilst they took in other walk-ins or call-ins. There was no method to their madness. Should not double book and waste customer's time. read more

What's the point of a reservation when you wait 30 minutes. They overbook and are not apologetic at all. I sat next to two other people that had a 945am appointment. Just came back from there. I needed a haircut as my hair had gotten a little long. I know this location is more expensive than others, but it is closest to my current home. So I went there and signed in as I have done on a couple other occasions. They said I would be called shortly. Well, shortly became at least half-hour and I noticed that several people who signed in after me, were called before me. A few others walked in the door and were attended to immediately - I know some had called ahead of time. But, when I finally walked up to the desk to get a status on my situtation, I looked at their list and noticed that several signups that came after me had already been called up. When I asked them my status, they said I would be up after one other. It turned out that other person had walked in more than 20 minutes after I had, and was signed in on their list after several others on their list, including me. At that point, I just got up and left. It appears they play favorites here. I'll never be back to this location. And to add to today's review, one of their stylists really messed up my hair on a previous occasion by cutting it much shorter than I asked. This, despite my clearly stating how I wanted it cut - there might be a language issue with a couple of their stylists. And to be fair, the first time I went to this location, a male stylist cut my hair and took his time - did a great job, though haven't seen him around since. That cut is the only reason I gave two rather than one star. But, enough is enough - Average to bad experiences after that first time. Go here at your own risk. read more

This Supercuts location has time and time again been giving me the worst haircuts I have ever received and I ask for very little when I go, but the hairstylists still manage to fuck it up. I would not recommend coming to this place because: 1. The hairstylists don't care about your hair, they only care about getting your money and the next persons, 2. They simply don't know how to follow instructions placed by the customer, and 3. They do not give accurate estimations for when you should go to get the haircut, because they will accept others before you. Some Supercuts are good and some aren't. This one definitely is not. Its pretty hard to find a good haircut at a decent price in Marin but this place might be the worst. The lady (I think it was Mia or Kathy) asked how I wanted my haircut and then cut me off a few seconds in and said I got it I got it. Then proceeded to do something totally different. Different than anyone that has ever cut my hair. It's pretty jacked up now. Additionally I didn't appreciate that for the majority of my haircut she was speaking loudly across the store the other employee in a foreign language. I'm not sure if she was talking about me or just having a conversation but it made me feel uncomfortable. Regardless, I feel like the customer should be their focus. Sure if you need to say something here or there it's no big deal, but not even attempting to have a conversation with your client and instead opting to have a conversation with your coworker that your client they can't understand with the only other person in the room isn't right in my opinion. This review is not for everyone at Supercuts, just for Tom. My 75 year old mother has been going to Tom for a few years, she has been happy with him every time, not that she's hard to please. Today, she made an appointment, went in, waited while her appointment time came and went. Being patient she watched while Tom took 2 people before he finally came up to her and said "I'm not cutting your hair, you said I ruined your hair last time". My mom told him she has never said that to him and that he must have her confused with someone else. He did not back down from his statement. He did this in front of people, one person my mom knows. She left and felt absolutely humiliated and embarrassed. She called and told me what happened, I called the manager, he said he knew what happened, had talked to Tom and was sorry about it. He offered to take care of my mom, but she had gone elsewhere, not that I think she could walk back in there. I told him that Tom should call and apologize to my mother, but only if he meant it, she has yet to hear from him. read more

WARNING!!!!! I had the worst haircut ever by Ryan. Everything I asked him NOT to do he did. I don't have a lot of hair and told him NOT to do anything to lessen my hair. Thats exactly what he did. I asked only for quarter inch and he took more than an inch. I wanted my bangs to cover my eyebrows but he took off way more. I told him NOT to cut my hair at the temples and he cut my hair almost to my scalp I usually get my hair cut once every 4 weeks but ended up waiting 9 weeks before getting another cut (somewhere else, of course). I think his problem is lack of understanding my english. Afterwards, I realized some of his responses in our conversation didn't make sense. I thought it was just the noise in the salon. Now I realize he didn't understand anything I was saying. It is so important for a hairstylist to understand what the customer is saying and exactly what they want. read more

This was the absolute worst place I've ever gotten a haircut. I found the staff to be extremely rude. I went in for a trim only and the hairstylist cut off 6 inches too much! She frowned at my hair as though it was the scum of the earth. I asked her to at least layer my hair to give it a style since she cut off more than I wanted and she told me no.
