The ladies here do a wonderful job but this time a man did my hair and it's so terrible I just had to leave because I was so upset inside. I asked for layers and they are a mess. While I don't normally get my haircut at a place like Supercuts, this location was convenient to where I was staying and all other places were either closed or just about to close in the vicinity. I was fortunate to walk here and get a cut within 15 minutes. Anaid took care of me and was very nice and friendly the entire time, making sure that my hair cut preferences were met. The vibe in here was nice and I was honestly had little to no expectations because a lot of people I encountered during at the Grove, Westfield Mall, and somewhere else were rude to us. I have known Josephine for years and recommended her highly to my family and friends. Unfortunately, my good relationship with her ended this Saturday. I made an appointment for 2:30pm. Once arrived, the lady at the desk said "your appointment was at 2pm". My boyfriend responded to her "no, it was at 2:30pm, I was there when she made it." Honestly, it didn't even bother me to wait for Josephine, so I waited 30 minutes and I guess she "squeezed" me between other customers because this is when I started to feel how stressed she was. I showed her pictures of the cut I wanted and I could already feel I was a burden for her. I would have MUCH appreciated if she had said "Honey, this is a pretty important cut and we should reschedule, I'll give you a discount for the scheduling mistake", but no, she "attempted" to cut my hair the way I wanted it. In the middle of the cut, she left to finish another customer. Then an angry entitled customer who waited only 5 minutes was staring at her angrily and she then took all his anger on me. She said "ok, that's it? Do you like it?" pressing me to leave and I was like "huh...no, could you please do the back like the picture? Just a little shorter?", then she went on to explain to me "that Supercuts are for "fast" cuts and she can't spend an hour with someone" which was very rude of her to tell me because I waited 30 minutes for her to cut my hair, then waited more, with my head tilted, in the middle of my cut for her to finish another customer and she had been cutting my hair for 20 minutes max at that point. When I tried to communicate to her that just like her other customers I also had to wait, she kept saying that the receptionist is great (implying I was lying?) and not even once she validated the scheduling error and how it impacted my day. I even suggested to wait MORE so she can take that angry customer right away and she answered "...what? No! I will be here all night and I didn't even take my break yet." Furthermore, when I asked her to please do a little more cutting, she added that "they work for tips, so spending all this time here doesn't make sense." Huh? I knew my cut required a little more then just using a buzzer for 5 minutes on a guy's head, so I intended to tip her appropriately, therefore her comment was hurtful and very unprofessional. I have known Josephine for years and she is a very nice person, but the last cut I did notice that she gets annoyed cutting any other hair besides short hair on men. And I am aware that this past Saturday she was swamped and feeling her other customers' frustrations, but it doesn't justify the way she treated me. She essentially shooed me away and didn't finish the cut. Today, I had to go to another hair salon and pay for someone else to finish her job. Definitely not acceptable. Quick and easy visit to this location. I usually go to the locations in West Hollywood, but I was in the area waiting on my tires to be done. It was super convenient, and I was able to walk over and get a haircut. I totally forgot to get the name of the woman who cut my hair. There was a brief wait while she finished up with her customer. She was friendly, and did a great job cutting my hair. This was on a Friday morning. Parking is easy. Private lot, but it's closely monitored. You'll see the lot "monitor" walking around the parking lot with a camera, taking pictures of the vehicles in the lot. I'm guessing they call for vehicles to be towed after an hour. read more
