Got my hair cut by a new person, she seemed timid and shy, gave her a chance. My hair is uneven, I didn't realize it till I styled it, this was about a week ago. Called today to see if they can fix it, but got told they'll have to charge me as if I was getting another haircut. I didn't know they had a 7 day policy for a free cut. I would pay for an trim for that particular section. I'm pretty embarrassed and devastated, I should have asked for a experienced person. I went to Supercuts ti get my hair done but prior to going I called and the manager told me multiple times he had a black stylist to do my natural hair. I was texted a coupon from SuperCuts for a $10 haircut. When I showed it to the gal at the register, she said it was good for their store. Halfway through the haircut the barber is up selling me on some tea tree oil spa stuff n all. Which was cool and all, so I ask her how that works with my coupon. She looks at it, and says this coupon isn't valid at their SuperCuts, it has to be the one down the street. So I'm like, what about home chick at the register, she said it was good when I showed up. Barber says no way, we are all independently owned. Your coupon is no good here. Super lame. I'd change their name to LameCuts, but the haircut itself was actually really good. So I can't hate on them too bad, but they should've honored the coupon since their cashier apparently didn't know what their own address is and said it was good. read more

I suppose you can't expect a whole ton for a $15 cut, but once again, I know its my own fault for deciding to go there there the last minute. My bff did advise me against just randomly walking in somewhere to chop off my fried ends, but when I get that itch for a haircut, I just can't wait! First, I didn't realize that the price was just for the cut (no wash, no styling; that's done with extra charge). Maybe that's normal, but since even cheaper places offer those basics together, this was new info to me. The stylist looked fairly young, and maybe that should have been my cue to walk out and say "Thanks, but no thanks," but I wasn't feeling as passive-aggressive enough that evening. I wanted to take off about 3 or 4 inches for a shoulder length cut that specifically wasn't a blunt bob cut. I showed a few pics of Heidi Klum's & Jessica Alba hairstyles that featured more of a shaped cut, that had tapered (not blunt) ends. I basically didn't want it to look like something I could have pulled off at home with my scissors (cause I had already taken off two inches at home...), you know ? Something with a bit of 'oomph.' So while the stylist was relatively okay, and tried to understand how I envisioned the cut, it was probably a bit too complicated for them to produce. I only have choppy layers on the last inch of my length, so there wasn't any shaping to the hairstyle. I went in wanting something a bit Hollywood-chic but I guess looking like Dora the Explorer would be okay too. Sure, I think this place is fine for a simple, no-style cut. I think kid's and super low-maintenance guys would appreciate the place. For ladies, just imagine how your 7-year old daughter's haircut might look like, and then how that might look on you, and whether or not you're okay with that. If that's cool, then hey, more power to you. I just need to learn the virtue of patience, and not jump the gun on ventures like this. I have a tendency of always doing stuff like this, so hopefully, I'll actually heed my own words and find a proper salon like my normal gfs the next time. Or at least go risk it at Chinatown where they'll actually wash your hair and style it for the same price! read more

They don't honor their OWN coupons!!! The haircuts are just ok . .. the service is, often, not even that. I live in the same ZIP code and get Supercuts coupons in the mail. I go, and present the coupon, they tell me they don't honor those!!!! I live just BLOCKS from them. I could walk!! What Supercuts are they for??? I am done. DO NOT GO HERE. They utterly destroyed my hair. I went in for a simple trim of my shoulder-length hair, specified exactly what I wanted, and also specified exactly what I didn't want, just to make sure there was no misunderstanding. Lady cutting my hair indicated she understood, then hacked it off exactly how I told her I did not want it done. AND it was absurdly uneven, and I had to specifically tell her to even it out after she was done. It looked like a five-year-old had done it with a butcher knife. I left sobbing. This probably serves me right for going to Supercuts in the first place when I actually cared how my hair turned out, but I figured it was safe enough since all I wanted was a very basic cut. This was clearly my mistake, as I could (and have!) literally done a better job cutting my own hair at home with a pair of sewing scissors. I will NEVER go back here, and the only use I could possibly imagine anyone having for this place is to recommend it to their enemies as a practical joke. EDIT: Just read a few of the other reviews, and it looks like it's one butcher who's ruining it for everyone. Older African American lady was the one who obliterated my hair. She rushed it like mad, did a sloppy job, and I still want to cry. read more

I don't know how I kept my cool, and most definitely don't understand how I still paid her! She can't do good lines, she gave me a bald spot and tried telling me that's how my hair grew! I've been getting my hair cut at this Super Cuts for almost 2 years. I have never had a bad experience. All of the stylists do a good job. When possible, I have AJ cut my hair. He always does an amazing job. I always say that I will call ahead and make sure he is there before going, but I don't simply because I trust everyone there. I've been coming to this particular Supercuts for years. It is my go to place to get my hair cut. At the moment, my favorite stylist is Betzy. She takes a long time, but what you get is a quality cut. I'll continue to request her as long as she's there. Joining the online wait list is a joke, though. I checked in online at 1:10pm and I arrived at 1:35pm. I wasn't seen for my haircut till almost 2pm. The good thing, though, is that since I had to wait so long, Betzy was available. But it was almost as if they put my name on the list when I got there. I was first told there were 2 people in front of me. Then a 3rd person went, a 4th person and a 5th person. I was continually told, "One more person then you." If you have an online check in, you should electronically place them in line as they sign up, not at the end of the paper list. The online coupon that I received from Supercuts for $1 off did work and does work at this location. I get them in my email inbox about once every month and a half. read more

I have been going to this Supercuts for over 3 years now. My normal stylist is Alondra and she does great on men's haircuts and fades. I've used a few of the other staff while my stylist is on vacation and they are all very friendly. I love the staff and the hours. Also a new thing they offer is for you to check in online from a mobile app so I normally check in while I'm on my way. I've seen plenty of families come through and I've never seen an unhappy customer. Give it a try! read more

This is a typical SuperCuts. It's a typical hair cutting place. I've never had to wait long here, without it being obvious it was going to happen as the waiting area was packed. All I wanted was a haircut!! Just a simple boy cut that would rid me of all my hair. I had such a horrible time at the previous establishment (see Sensia salon review) that I was considering just keeping my hair long. As my sister and I drove to a different salon I saw the sign for Supercuts. I asked her what she thought about doing it there and she said: Go for it! We parked and went in. The receptionist was very sweet and asked me to add my name to the waiting list. A few minutes later Reyna (my stylist) called my name and introduced herself. I showed her what I wanted and she was surprised that I would cut my hair that short. After a few minutes of : "are you sure you want it that short?" She started cutting. Finally! I get the haircut I want. I was willing to pay so much more for my haircut that the $15 price tag was ridiculous to me. I gave her a 50% tip! hehe. My haircut is awesome, just what I wanted it. And the funny thing is that although the price was low, the service was stupendous! I am definitely going back to Supercuts to trim my new cut! read more

I wanted to donate hair to those in need so went here to have it done. They offer free haircuts when you donate to Locks of Love. Initially they made me print out the form for hair donation before having it done so I had to go back after I printed out the form. This was annoying since what else am I going to do with a ponytail of my hair other than donate it? The stylist did a great job and was really kind. My barber/stylist recently moved so I had to find someone new to cut my hair. I decided to go to Supercuts because that's where I used to get my haircut when I was a young lad. When I got there the receptionist took down my name. The wait was only like 5 minutes. Then Cynthia called me up to the chair. I showed her what I wanted and she got to chopping me up. She was really cool, easy to talk to. Which made my time even more enjoyable. Then after she was done I requested the "Tea Tree Experience." If you never had one, your missing out. I dont know if it was bc she was doing it but It was amazing. Made me feel like a brand new person. After that she put some pomade in my hair and styled it all nice. I think the haircut is great. I have got a few compliments so I guess others like it to. Overall I rate my experience a 5. Great Service, Great Haircut, Even Greater Tea Tree Experience and Cynthia was great to. read more

I've been here twice: once to get a trim, and most recently to get 10 inches of my hair cut off to donate to Locks of Love. Both times, I have been happy with my haircut. I am in a cycle of cutting my hair short, trimming it about a year in, and then cutting it short in another year. I don't get many haircuts, so I never really know what I want. I normally just go in and say "I want a side part, bangs, layers, and 10 inches or so off. Everything else is up to you." Well, this was my line again this time, and I got a pretty good haircut! Everyone is impressed it was just a Supercuts haircut. ($15 haircut!) The best part, which I discovered that day, was that they will give you a free haircut if you cut off 10+ inches to donate to Locks of Love! The only reason this is not a 5 star experience was because I had to remind her I wanted bangs, and I'm not in love with what she did with my bangs. Holy cow, I must say, this is by far the worst haircut I've ever had. I am Asian and only recently moved to Houston. Whenever I move to a new place, I usually have trouble finding barbers that know how to cut Asian hair well. Usually Supercuts hasn't done well in past locations, but I decided to give them a chance. I asked for a simple trim: #3 in the back and sides, and just shorter in front. The back and sides look fine since using a buzzer with a predetermined # is pretty impossible to mess up. The front though looks like the lady put a rice bowl over my head and cut around it. I told her it looked horrid, and asked her to fix it. She kept making it worse, and eventually I just gave up. I will have to go to a different barber just to get this monstrosity fixed. read more

I stopped by Supercuts for a quick blowout. The wait wasn't bad. While waiting I read the menu of services. $25-$35 for a blowout. Didn't say anything about shampooing being extra. How would one get a blowout without a shampoo? Apparently at this place it is and they don't even bother to mention it. The associate was friendly but not attentive. Once my hair was shampooed, she started to put product in my hair and asked if I used anything. I replied yes I do. I also made mention that I put little product in my hair. She then went on to put another product in my hair. Once my blowout was done, she put another product in my hair!!! That makes 3 products. What part of I don't use many products did she not understand??! I went to check out and it was $46!!!! What the ??!!! If I wanted to pay $46 for a blowout I would have gone to Drybar and paid a $ less. I felt like I have just been robbed! Beware people and learn from my mistakes. Ask for a quote before services are rendered! As I am writing this I am still in shock I paid $46 plus tip for a blowout at a Supercuts!!! I mean seriously. read more

I visited this Supercuts on a Friday at lunch, slightly concerned about whether I could get in and out on my lunch hour. I did not need to worry even though the waiting room was fairly full. Signed in, went next door to the awesome pizza place for a salad, and came back to find that I was up. Both my stylist and the manager were very friendly. My stylist listened to what I wanted and gave it to me. I got lots of compliments on my new cut. The only caveat I would note is that I usually leave with wet hair. Since I was planning a date night, I decided to go for a blow dry. I was blown away at the counter that the blow dry (which took all of 7-8 minutes) cost $20(!!). Won't be doing that again but I will definitely be back. read more

I used to come here to have Tommy cut my hair....always so nice, and I never left unsatisfied with her cuts, ever. I moved further away and found a stylist close to where I live, have been going to her for almost 4 years...trying to be loyal, but I have to draw the line now...after the last 7 cuts being bad (the last horrific), I decided to go back to see Tommy. She wasn't in today but Rachida Toufalla was pretty amazing..my hair wss a hot mess.
