Supercuts has gone up in price, though, in the past few years. It's now $25 for a dry cut. I don't do wet cuts cause they come out shorter than you would like. I mostly need a trim or face frame. If I do splurge on hair, it's for color, and I go somewhere else for that. I haven't colored my hair in 2-3 years. It's been anywhere from balayage silver/gray, rose gold/pink, purple to chocolate brown. My usual stylist left the Supercuts in Spring that I would normally go to when working or visiting family. I'm glad there's one near me in the city. There's plenty of parking at the Washington Ave. location. It shares a lot with other businesses and is next door to the specialty pet store Natural Pawz. The inside is bigger and very clean. There's one unisex restroom. I made an appointment online which was easy. I checked in when I got there and didn't have to wait long as she finished with a client. Jacque was wonderful. She listened to what I wanted which was to keep my face frame length and cut 3 inches off straight across. My hair is to my waist, so even with that much cut off, it's still fairly long. Goodbye to the final remnants of my blond hair that I grew out from the last coloring 2-3 years ago. Jacque was so easy to talk to, and we discussed our work interests and experiences with special education. I will definitely continue to come back to this location for haircuts with Jacque. She recently moved here, so maybe the other reviews here were with former stylists. I also read Google reviews, and they rated Jacque and Mai very well.

The new location feels like a fresh start, decorated in the same mid wood tones, and natural finishes, it's a vibe for sure. I get it, this salon may not be for everyone, but I've yet to receive anything less than love and care with my tresses. I visit the same stylist, and I feel my hair is always in good hands. Asked her why the visible orange spots in some areas. She said bc due to my hair being so dark, it leaves the orange color. Well, my entire hair is dark so wouldn't that apply to whole head? Results did not come out how I expected; color shade was completely opposite from an inspiration picture I showed her prior to coloring. Lastly, the technique skills for a balayage wasn't there IMO.
