So blown away by my hair transformation, courtesy of Linda Torres. Not only did she take into consideration the exact style and vibe I wanted (90s witch), but she took the time to explain every step of the process and show me how to do my own blowouts. I'm blown away by how she gave me such a unique style meant for my thin hair and face structure, and she definitely earned a forever client :) Service was A plus as well, love how they serve tea/coffee/sparkling water/champagne. Didn't want to write this because people have off days but I went in for curtain bangs and to freshen up my layers. I walked out with bangs that looked choppy and were so much shorter than what l'd asked for. I'd been here a couple of times, always having had a positive experience, and was genuinely shocked. I had shown a picture and there must have been some sort of miscommunication because my hair ended up looking nothing at all like the picture. Went to another hair dresser to try to fix it and they were baffled by the choppiness of it. The terrible customer service at this salon is just comical at this point. My husband had an appointment scheduled this morning at their Sunset location and despite my bad experience, he was still open to going because he was like it's a different location and stylist and wanted to give them a chance. He was running 5 mins late and called to tell them to which they asked if he was referred by me. Now I have NO idea how they figured this out because my husband and I do not share a last name. Maybe some extreme racial profiling, or some Instagram stalking... both very weird He said yes, and they then told him that they canceled his appointment. He was pretty much at the salon and was like why wasn't I informed to which they responded saying "we thought it was understood that after all of Zara's hateful comments, neither of you would be allowed to step inside the salon." Hahaha like what??? He was still open to giving them another chance and his business and this is how they treated him. So thank you Saint Rose but solidifying why you guys have such terrible customer service. PS: it's 2021 and if you provide a bad service, it will go on the internet and you will get a bad review... This is the only hair salon I trust to do my hair right. Everything from color, cut, treatments, a specific hair style, etc... Last month I attended an important gala and (with very short notice) Martin was able to squeeze me and my friend in to hi schedule to take care of our hair styles! She gave me a curly cut that helped me appreciate my hair again because when I went to see her, I was ready to do another big chop. She introduced me to Kevin Murphy products which I love and she helped me simplify my hair routine. Which is huge for me because I'm busy and always on the go and don't want to waste time putting a boat load of products in my hair. The salon is so chic with colorful vibes. I got my hair done in November 2021 before I moved out of state so my review is long overdue but I received extremely meticulous care from Tim himself and the wonderful staff that work at this salon. To preface, my hair is not easy to deal with. I have long & extremely thick asian hair and Tim and his staff worked endlessly to make sure I was given the proper care for my hair. I was grateful and also I was one of the last people to step out of the salon that day even though I came in fairly early. My hair takes hours to dry and color since it's so thick and to do it properly you need to work layer by layer and Tim did exactly this while juggling other clients - all while making sure that I was comfortable, happy, and even fed (seriously they gave me snacks). I had wonderful conversation with Tim and the other people that took care of me that day and I can 100% vouch that they will do their best to give you what you want. Timothy has moved locations from Maison to Saint Rose! I followed him from his previous spot and I'm glad I came in yesterday! His store is a cute little spot located in Kirby area, it kind of looks like a house outside and when you walk inside, the interior is very pleasant, has this relaxing vibe and different drinks are offered to you. Timothy was able to fit me in same day due to his cancellation. I got there a little early and waited for about 5 minutes and his assistant was able to start washing my hair. I wanted more layers but not too short and as always Tim did a great job. Feels so much healthier! The products he sells are a bit pricey but they are great products and they smell SUPER GOOD! I can't get over this place! This was my second time visiting HbSR but my first time at this new location. The location is so beautifully set up and really sets the perfect vintage vibe. I posted a breakdown of my bill. I paid almost $500 with someone with only 2 years of professional hair experience. Shelby was nice and didn't do a terrible job, but this is very expensive for what it actually was: The balayage was actually a foilage (so it really just looks like a basic full foil highlight, not painted on balayage). Yes, the website says the balayage may include foilage and teasy lights. But my *whole damn head* was foiled and blended in (not a combo of painted on and foils) This is the opposite of what I wanted. I wanted a thicker painted on bolder look. I said I hated thin baby lights. So why did I pay for a balayage? Feels like a bait and switch. It doesn't look bad, but it's not what I asked for. The haircut was actually a 5 minute dry dusting of the ends on only the front of my head...she didn't actually section off my hair to see if there needed to be corrections throughout the rest of my head. Even though I said I didn't want any length off, she still should have done the basic exercise of checking if my existing haircut was "off"...especially since it was $97. It's really unethical that this salon would charge for a full haircut when I didn't actually get one. A high end salon would have just dusted my ends for a reduced price or even complementary considering how much I spent for the fake balayage service I recieved. I want a refund for the $97. read more

Not overdone or "stiff." My stylist was Jackie, and she was terrific. I thought I wanted a half-up hairstyle, but once she styled me, I was thrilled with having it down. She asked good questions and was eager to ensure that I was happy before she sprayed my hair & I left the salon. She did try to sell me on some hair products (which I probably need; I wasn't in the mode to buy new products at that moment), but it was a very soft sell. The salon is located in an older, stand-alone house. It's quite comfortable and quirky in its decor. They also offered us drinks when we arrived, which was a nice touch.
