I've given this quite wonderful bargain salon 5 stars. Went to this Supercuts salon since 2016 and have found their staff to be versatile, comfortable in conversation and explanation, and never felt rushed or undervalued. Over the years, Staff came and went, a few stayed and became friends. Good products, good scissors, and a great selection of special hair products at sometimes fabulous sale prices!! They have a reservation formula on their site I found sometimes confusing or flawed and only used it once in the last eight years, preferring a personal call or just wall-in with a hopeful smile. I just got a buzz cut and somehow they messed it up. There are patches of hair all over my head that are longer than other parts. Somehow, she just missed a bunch of spots. I didn't notice until I got home and now I'm trying to go over it with my beard trimmer. If you can't handle doing a decent buzzcut, you shouldn't be cutting hair professionally. read more

Had Gaye Marie trim my hair, told her I wanted 1" off on top and make sure my back is at least 2" long so I can curl it. She did just the opposite! The back of my hair was less than an inch, when I told her she said, Oh well, I can't put it back on. HaHa! So it's funny when you screw up? So the next time I tried Kyrstal, worst haircut ever!! my hair was 5 inches long on top, told her I wanted half an inch off. The crown of my head is one inch long, the right side is 3 inched long. It looks like she just grabbed hair and cut uneven patches all over my head. It looks like a 3 yr old got ahold of a pair of scissors and cut my hair. These must be flunkies that no one else will hire. Spend the extra $20 and go to a reputable hair salon. This is a butcher shop!! read more

I've lived there n this area for four years now and quite honestly I've NEVER been able to get in here for a haircut due to the never ending short staff at this particular location. I've never seen anything like it anywhere. Today the young gal stated she had "a color" on her schedule, although that person wasn't there at the time. So she was unavailable. Furthermore she stated it would be later in the day before I could get a haircut. Like in the afternoon! And it was 10:40 am!!! Unbelievable!!! Oh and their prices at this location are 20% higher than other Supercuts locations. $19 for a Senior haircut! So when I'm in town I'll stick with Great Clips I guess. They appear to want to cut my hair and it's closer for me to boot. No thanks Un-Super Cuts in Mt Vernon. read more

I just got my hair cut by Diane, and she did a fantastic job! I have straight hair with cowlicks that can make it challenging to get a perfect line, but she achieved an absolutely straight bob. Her attention to detail is impeccable. read more

I renamed this place to the 'Butcher Shop', sorry, but after many stops here in the last year, my husband would come home looking more and more terrorized. The last one really did it for us and he won't be back. Regardless if you make an appt, this place functions on a 1st come, 1st serve basis. Men's cuts are $18 I believe, so definitely NOT a bargain. You can find awesome non-chain places that do amazing work for the same dime. Please be warned, go elsewhere. read more

Unfortunately it's been at least 2 years that she's cut my hair because EVERY TIME I call to book an appointment with her they don't answer the phone. So unfortunately I end up going somewhere else. So just.a few min later my mom and I go in and they ask me if we have an appt, I told them I just called and they said I didn't need one, they then took our info & say it will be abt 20 min so we're like ok no prob they took our names and info. 20 min later my mom goes in there (11:50) and they say you're appts are for 12pm & 12:30pm we will call u when we are ready for you. If you are looking for an inexperienced hair dresser with a fake, pretentious attitude, this is the place. First they want to get all your identity info they can from you with the most pretentious voice any of them can muster. Today I visited one in Stanwood and walked out when I told the woman I would not give any personal info for their system and she continued to ask for it. NEWS FLASH SUPER CUTS, IDENITY THEFT IS RAMPANT. NO, YOU CANNOT HAVE MINE AND STOP ASKING. I've been in 8 of these places as a last resort hair cut and every one of the greeters is as FAKE as them get. That haircuts can be good, never great, but for the most part, they suck. One time in Oak Harbor, the Manager was conducting training (really just reminders on perms) in front of everyone. I know they have break rooms for that stuff. Courtney does an amazing job!! She has been coloring my hair for a few months and she has done the best. She's always happy and helping everyone while I'm there. I was a bit skeptical with the reviews this location had but was pleasantly surprised when I came in to get a specific haircut. I used to always go to the Mount Vernon hair school, good prices but you really felt like a guinea pig which you were that's why it was cheap. Then they went out of business for not paying their taxes, that's when I found my Supercuts on College Way in Mount Vernon WA. Prices are a bit more, but it's well worth the training. Hair not cut evenly found several long sections, I asked for layers and if she wasn't able to do that she should have said and I would have got up and left. Instead I got a all one length which might work for some women but curly thick hair it pops out like a shelf. Yuck. ANd for my face framing? I got a section of hair in front that's all just a shorter length. I could have done better myself honestly. Was charged for a shampoo also when all she did was wet my hair. I'm disappointed it wasn't dried when finished or hopefully she would have seen her mistakes but to not check after you cut someone's hair for long sections is just lazy. Amazes me to think she thinks this is an ok hair style to give any women or girl. I've had this hair cut.... I had my friend do it, she did better. I had a feeling it wasn't going to be done right when her photo for her license looked lazy and sloppy. Present yourself with professionalism come on this photo all your clients see! My son went in for a trim that turned disastrous. He asked for the color to be trimmed off the top and leave the sideburns long. Not only did she trim him too short, she didn't leave ANY sideburns and the worst part was SHE SHAVED HIS EYEBROWS COMPLETELY OFF!! He left there too embarrassed to say anything to anyone and came home very upset. I told him to go back to complain, but he is too nice. But who shaves eyebrows? without asking first?
