Like, "did I just wander into a rustic resort?" levels of big and every corner has its own personality. First stop? The farm market. And listen... I could've spent my entire vacation budget right there. Shelves stacked with homemade canned goods, sauces, jams, salsa, pickled everything, and more pumpkins than Cinderella could handle. Total cozy-country heaven. The grounds are seriously gorgeous. You get these pockets of space that feel secluded and peaceful, almost like a secret beachy cabin retreat dropped into the Virginia mountains. There are tons of tables outside so you can sip and snack in the sunshine, plus a driving range, volleyball pits, and a giant "LOVE" sign that basically begs you to take a photo. Inside, the bar is warm, rustic, and charming the kind of spot that feels like it was built for good drinks and even better stories. They had a food truck the day we visited (I didn't see in-house food options), which just added to that relaxed, festival-by-the-lake feeling. Between the gorgeous scenery, the spacious layout, the drinks, and the vibes? This was easily one of my favorite stops on our travels. 10/10 would go back in a heartbeat.

They have a wide variety of styles, several people recommended the tropical sour, we went with the New England style IPA. I have drank many different New England style IPA's over the years and this is definitely one of the better ones I have had, especially just trying it in a whim! There is a huge sandbox for the kiddos, there's a covered patio to have a few cold ones with signs that remind us all that "Wu-Tang is for the Children", and there is another sitting area at the bottom of the hill by a gorgeous creek. Although I wouldn't recommend carrying a flight down there. Inside there are maybe 8 beers on tap ( I can't remember) but I got a flight that consisted of a Vienna Lager, a Mexican Lager, a Hefe, and a Chapter 2 IPA. All of the beers were solid, but I think the Philadelphia Vienna Lager was my favorite. There was a food menu but wasn't hungry at the time. There were also beer slushies and other items for those who don't drink beer. The service was friendly. My only complaint would be the flight boards are a little flimsy for those tall flight glasses. The location couldn't have been more convenient, with trails, venues, and restaurants all close at hand. The cidery itself offered around two dozen options, and the Imperial Peach quickly became our go-to libation. And yes, they've got a happy hour at the cidery--and you already know that's my favorite time of day. Within three miles, you've got IGA, the ABC store, and Beltie's, while Devil's Backbone sits right across the street. The on-site BBQ Beast delivered exactly what you'd hope for--no surprises, just solid, satisfying fare. We lucked into something special during our stay, landing right in the middle of a migration path. One morning alone brought the sights and sounds of over 25 bird species--nature putting on a full show. All told, it's a fantastic place to boondock.
