It had a little kick while still being predominantly cheesy and was a very smooth texture. -Enchiladas Suizas: 8.5/10 - These were corn tortillas stuffed solely with a sort of braised chicken and topped with a deliciously warm and creamy set of sauces. Very flavorsome, though I do wish there had been a little more to the filling than just the chicken itself. -Refried Beans: 6/10 - These were not as good as most refried beans I've had at Mexican restaurants. They were very liquidy, not very rich, and only had a little sprinkle of queso fresco on top. I prefer thicker, creamier refried beans. -Side Salad: 8.5/10 - I got this instead of the rice that came with my enchiladas ($2 up charge) and when it arrived at my table it was HUGE. A semi-hidden gem because it's tucked in inside the Gulch! The food is amazing and normally you don't think about the coffee at a Mexican restaurant, but the hot coffee (with unlimited refills) was fantastic. I even asked the waiter where it's from and he said they use Barista Parlor coffee. I'm impressed. I can for brunch but now I'm super curious about dinner and I'll have to come back. I for the chorizo, eggs, and potatoes, which came with corn or flour tortilla. So I was able to wrap my own breakfast tacos. Huge portions! It was yummy and I highly recommend this dish. Peach frozen drink $12 (MKT price) (it was good not sure it was worth the $12. The decor is nice and fits the theme of the restaurant with dim lighting. Queso fundido with flour tortillas .....tortillas are excellent and they're homemade. The fundido is not anything to brag about. If it isn't eaten as soon as it hits the table it's a lost cause. Once cheese is no longer hot...you know the rest. To me this dish was just a thin layer of cheese with an excessive amount of grease that the cheese was swimming in. Mole tasted great! Very nice patio seating. If you should get the enchiladas make sure to get it "Rico style" Prices are fair. Expect to pay more for an entree here than your usual Mexican restaurant, but it's well worth it. Mitchell, our server was phenomenal. The manager here is ehhhh he doesn't seem to be as friendly as he comes off. It's like they had a completly different chef. The drinks were 1/4 full, as if there was an alcohol shortage! On the first visit, it was flowing, and the drinks were perfect. The waiter - let's say, seemed extremely distracted. Service was impeccable on our first visit. We went from finding our favorite place in the world for fajitas to being confused. We had dinner there this past weekend. Parking in the very small lot is highly unlikely so you will be parking in the paid lot across the way. It was $7 to park for a few hours. For drinks - we got the Hibiscus Margarita and Jalapeno Margarita. Both were good, but I felt mostly contained ice. It also took a good 10-15 min to receive them. Apparently backed up at the bar - even though it was barely 5:15 on a Saturday night. We really enjoyed the chips and salsa. There are two salsas they bring with the warm chips and there is even a very hot sauce on the table to add to it. I will start by saying I'm a bit surprised by the food prices in Nashville - I'm from Chicago and I can't imagine paying $40 for 1/2 lb skirt steak fajitas or even $30 for chicken fajitas. With that being said, I got the Puffy Taco Dinner and my husband got the Hamburguesa. We thought both were really good and my husband really liked the Hamburger. It came with massive steak fries that we brought most home. I liked the Puffy Taco Dinner - though not sure where the "puffy" part is. It was flat corn tortillas on the bottom. I pictured a "puffy" taco. Regardless - it was tasty and I brought half home - very filling. The next day - I thought the puffy taco meal was even better. I started with a skinny margarita which was one of the best I've had -- I never guessed it was the mildly healthier take on the classic. We proceeded to the complimentary chips and salsa, which is a rarity for upscale Tex Mex restaurants in Nashville. The verde salsa was phenomenal -- I very easily could have eaten it with a spoon. The more traditional red/brown salsa was also very good. It was a tad bit spicier with a faintly smoky flavor. The chips were light and perfectly salted. We also ordered the guacamole which was perhaps the most beautifully plated guacamole I've ever seen in person. It was chunky yet creamy with a zesty kick of lime in almost every bite. I really liked that it was served with sturdier chips -- fried and flaky with just enough crispiness to support each bite of guac. While the menu had so many tempting options to choose from, I knew I had to go with one of my favorite enchiladas -- the Pollo con Mole. Where to begin? Ever since first being introduced to the cocoa-infused mole sauce (just one of many mole varieties), I've been hooked. Superica's mole was some of the best I've had in quite some time. The braised chicken was cooked perfectly and paired seamlessly with the mild sweetness of the sauce. The layer of cheese and onions on top rounded out everything beautifully. Every single bite was a delicious whirlwind of flavors, and none were too overpowering. The side of rice and beans weren't as earth-shattering, but they made for great accompaniments to the enchiladas. The refried beans were the perfect consistency with just enough cheese sprinkled on top. The rice was cooked perfectly, and I loved the diced peppers mixed in. The patio was spacious and heated, perfect for social distancing. And the service was top-notch, from the hostess to the bartender to our waiter. Everyone was friendly and very attentive.
