Wish I could leave No Star!!! Do not take your car here unless you want it in worse condition then you left it. Body repair was OK but that is not the point. Took my 2021 Corvette there for minor bumper repair. $1490. Do not take your car here if you expect to be treated with respect if you have an issue with your car once you pick it up. 1.Initially told it would only take 5 business days, but ended up taking 12. 2. Car dropped off completely clean interior. When I went to pick it up, the interior was filthy, with scrape marks on the driver leather seat, shop dust all over area next to seat at door opening, and scrape marks at bottom of the driver door interior. 3. Car dropped off with odometer reading 13437 (took picture of odometer reading when I dropped it off). Car received with odometer reading 13440 (took picture before I paid for repairs). Why does a corvette need to leave the premises for minor bumper repair? Oh, I know, for a joyride! When I told the front staff I had issues with the car they said the owner would be in momentarily. Once he arrived, I bluntly started addressing the issues and when I got to the odometer reading, the owner cut me off with, "Let me stop you right there!" He showed me a post-it note with 13437 & 13439. I asked him how do you put more than a mile on a car if you're only moving it around the premises. To which he replied, with an attempt at a belittling comment, angrily stating "We have nicer cars here than yours, so nobody took it for a joyride!" This is when it got heated. I again and ask him, "How do you put 2 miles on a car just buy driving it around your F¥{€ing parking lot?" He then began yelling at me, telling me I could not talk to him like that and told me to leave his business. This was before I had paid for the work. I then told him I'm going inside to pay for the work. He then repeated, "We have nicer cars here than yours, so nobody took it for a joyride!" Bottom line, owner has no professional business or people skills and does not know how to competently address issues when a customer has complaints. I guess his "nicer cars here" comment means that they do take nicer cars for joyrides, but I can only speculate. read more

What should look like parking stripes don't, in fact it's nearly completely missing on the lower half of the bumper in one picture and that's from the angle being so off. The Superior team went above and beyond for us! Ron even delivered my car to a friend's home because we live in CA full time and couldn't make it back to St. Pete to pick the car up. (We have a place in St. Pete as well.) In the office, Tracy was extremely helpful, and Michael that offered the first estimate was kind and quick. I had a 2018 Mazda Miata and someone backed into me in a parking lot. I took my car to Superior Auto Body for the repairs and was blown away by the level of care they took to make sure the work was done right! The staff kept me informed of the progress and they worked seem less with my insurance company. When I picked my car up it was parked next to a Lamborghini and the owner walked me through the work that was completed. I have a 2008 Chrysler Sebring hardtop convertible that I needed the front bumper re-attached. While it was in for that, I also had them do some touch-ups on some body defects. They came in under the estimate, and the work was very good. They even were able to "de-fog" my headlights. I also have a 2016 Acura MDX that was damaged while parked. While working on it, they discovered some previously unseen damage. After a phone call advising me of their findings, I authorized the additional work. They are crooks plain and simple. Took a month to get an available time, then had my car for 2 weeks. They rifled through my entire car and stole anything of value they could find. But hey, the car was clean right! Update: got a wonderful call from Ron where he blamed me for leaving money in the car. My auto insurance company uses this shop as one of their select service shops. I had to wait 2 weeks just to get an estimate. I go today waste my entire afternoon and after being there an hour they tell me they won't work on my 2012 VW Golf that has a GTI front bumper cover and fog lights. They said they would not write an estimate on it because it was modified. The Ironic thing is 4 years prior a select service shop repaired deer damage with the same bumper that had to be replace and the estimate and repair process was flawless. They had other cars in the lot that were modified and did not seem to have an issue working on those. If they are that incompetent or that lazy to research the parts required or write the estimate I would be very concerned about the quality of work. I do not recommend them read more

They do grat work, but everyone messes up occasionally. They had my car 10 days it was hit in a parking lot from the front and back. When I went to insepect the car, the rear car dent wasn't fixed only the front. Comedy of errors but I didn't feel like leaving it another 10 days. Customers are bust too. read more

This is where people take their high end cars for paint, body work, restoration and detailing. Mr. Valerio and his family run a clean, efficient, and excellent shop. Dropped my car off for work with an insurance claim. I had previously purchased my own new bumper replacement however, I explained to Ron, the owner, that I could not pay anything other than what the insurance will pay for so if the insurance stops paying then stop work on the vehicle. To paint the bumper and the quarter panel, while repairing body panels behind the bumper took them eight days. The technicians on hand did a wonderful job matching the paint. My problem is here: Ron said that would work as far as what the insurance would cover however, we completed the entire job while calling me to tell me that I owed over $500. Again, read the above paragraph again if you didn't notice that I requested to make sure not to have to pay anything out-of-pocket as I did not have it available. Once I explained to him that I could not pay that amount, he explained to me that I should not own the make of car that I own if I didn't expect to spend at least $500 for any kind of repair (I do my own mechanical work for the most-part). I then paid a visit to the shop to try to work out a payment plan or to even work off the balance as I have experience in detailing. He continued to laugh at me and state that he was not a bank even though I had a plan to pay him in full within two weeks. I tried to work it out with the insurance company and they said if they could fudge the numbers they would but it wasn't likely and turned out so. The adjuster even said that he was a (expletive). I had requested that Ron stop talking to me the way he had and to cease laughing, as it was rude to do to a customer and that I did not find it humorous. My spouse and I had to take out a loan and scrape up extra cash in order to make the payment. This caused a major setback in planning to build our home as well as necessary finances. The detailers on hand also paid no attention to my interior, specifically the backseat and the headrest. Also, the top of my gauge cluster housing has a chip in it that was definitely not there before, as well as a quarter tank missing. My cloud-based - camera was also unplugged for multiple days of the operation. Overall a terrible job on the interior. I've worked with other detailers that left "Superior" because of Ron and I didn't think he could be that bad but they weren't lying. If you plan on having them do any work, they will do a great job overall on the body work but don't plan on Ron treating you with any respect. Take your business to Northwest or Caliber Collision before considering him. Like I stated once before, I may have owed money, but this would have a totally different outcome if he were kind about it. TL;DR : BE NICE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS!! PS if he doesn't think you're going to give him any money he will handle other business in front of you like taking phone calls or handling other vehicles that are about to be paid for. read more

Let me begin by saying I am a return customer who wanted an estimate to paint the roof of my 2003 Toyota. They did superior work on my car before (covered by insurance and were very courteous but this was a self pay estimate. The roof has a tiny bit of rust in the corner by the front window (less than a dime) and paint is fading in two spots on the roof. No leaks from the rust area inside. I spoke with Chuck Smith who examined the car and provided me with three quotes. One to remove the front glass if necessary for $301.79, don't know if this includes the same glass or I need another windshield, one for $794.37 without glass removal, and one for the whole thing of 1071.55. A little confusing? I said I would expect to get the whole car painted for that and he said "then do it". I told him I would not be having it done and he walked away. Great Customer Service Chuck! Your company can do top notch work, but the way you interact with customers is what keeps the money coming in! read more

When I finished my grocery shopping on a Friday put groceries in trunk but when got home could not open trunk. Called AAA and after working for a while, the technician was not able to open it. Advised to take my car to the AAA shop following morning since it was getting late and it was raining very hard. Went to the shop following morning and also was impossible to open trunk. They refer me to Superior since must like back seats needed to be removed. I went to the shop close to 1.00 PM which is their closing time on Saturday. I was lucky to meet Mr. Ron Vallario who helped me big time. Worked to resolve my issue, had his crew working overtime until they removed back seats, opened trunk and I was able to get spoiled groceries out. Mr. Vallario was so kind and didn't charge a single penny for all that work. Found out that cable and lock were broken. Parts were order and now issue is resolved. Downright disrespectful customer service by no one else but the owner of the place. Instead of helping customers make a payment or finance for work that was done in their vehicle, the owner, Ron, thinks it's a better idea to go and laugh, mock them and state that they shouldn't own such car if they can't shell out whatever ridiculous price he came up with, without any backup such as labor rates. Guess he is accustomed to overcharging his customers with expensive cars and expects anyone that passes by his place to budge aswell. read more

Called in today and spoke to Ron to see if he can inspect a car that I intended on purchasing as I'm out of town and needed to make sure the car was worth the hassle. He inspected the car inside out, put it on a jack, checked it out from underneath and even took it for a test drive to make sure the car drove fine. When I asked how much I owed him, he said "nothing!" Who does that nowadays?! It was a breath of fresh air working with someone who's not out to charge everyone for every little thing he does. Will never return, and if you value decent customer service then you won't bring your vehicle here either. Initially, all went well. They accepted my car, my insurance field agent showed up the next day, and everything was green-lighted to get going. Called after first week for an update, which shop owner, Ron, gave me. Mentioned they were still waiting on some parts to come in. I asked for an estimated timeline to determine if I needed to rent a vehicle for another week and he made an off-color remark about how I should really just add that to my insurance policy. Some mention of parts being in by Monday afternoon, car could be ready as early as Wednesday. Called the following Saturday, after no update. Again, my assigned person was busy, I was promised a call before the end of the day, but no call came. After 2 weeks and $500 in rentals, I could no longer rent a car. I finally got through Monday, was told that my car was "in paint" and would be ready by the end of the day, next morning at the latest. The next day I was told that the bumper wasn't fully finished. So, either they installed an unfinished bumper on my vehicle and painted it, or they had lied to me. Wednesday, I was told that the new bumper was in, but there were 87 screws and it was probably going to need one more day. Thursday I called to let them know I was on my way. I was told I was "on the list" for pick-up later, but that it would still be some time to get through finishing. "That's fine, I'll be there in 15 minutes." Then I was told that some assembly still needed to be completed. So I let them know AAA was on hold to bring a tow truck because my car was coming off that lot today. My dad and I arrived around 2:45pm, and after discovering the supplemental claim never made it through to my insurance company, and that my insurance company doesn't know how to answer phones or emails, Ron the shop owner made some calls and got it pushed through. This took the better part of 90 minutes or so. We eventually head out to the lobby, where we would wait until almost 7pm to get my car from them. No other explanation offered other than "it's iin finishing" even though the mechanic was coming through, telling me he was test driving it and my dad saw it up in the air again when he walked around outside. I just wanted a straight answer. Other concerns: while there, I overheard someone getting an estimate of "7 days max" for full front and side of a truck to be redone. So why 23 days for my car with suspension and bumper? The worst part was having to listen to the shop owner screaming at a young man for "his attitude" and "talking trash" when the guy was told that his car would be ready at close and he saw that it was still in pieces at the pick-up time. This kid asked them to just put the broken headlight in, that he was stressed because a family member was dying and he needed to get to them, and he just wanted to take his car and leave. The inhumane response from the owner was that "your problems aren't my problems, and I'll close at 8 or whenever I get to close" (website says 6pm). The calloused response and continued screaming at this youth were totally uncalled for. Kid was only respectful and calm, kept his composure the entire time. I will never step foot in this shop again, and certainly won't recommend it to anyone. read more

I really am blown away by the service and quality work that I had here. I have worked in the automotive industry for years so I have high expectations already, but these guys did a fantastic job all around. 1) My car was completed in a timely manner, that's huge in and of itself. 2) It looks better than it did before I was hit. 3) They went above and beyond by cleaning my (really dirty) car inside and out. I got it back and they had not only cleaned the INSIDE of my car (which I was not expecting whatsoever), but they went as far as touching up a scratch that a rock did to my car several years ago! The paint job was excellent, no "orange peel" look like so many have. Looks brand new. I could not be happier. I will say, it wasn't cheap, but it's worth it. read more

It took them two weeks and when I picked up my car it was dirty, there were still scratches, and my car wouldn't start. I asked for a different shop and my insurance company sent me to Superior. Not only were they professional and friendly but they went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and communicated what was going on with my car every day it was there. My car came back freshly cleaned and waxed, every single item that was needing repair was done, and they went back and fixed the shotty job the first shop did. This was the 2nd occasion to use this shop on 2 different cars. Both times someone else hit our cars. The first about a year ago my wife was rear ended in the Miata to the tune of about 5,000$. They did a great job people paid direct so no insurance involved. Rental car Co only 5 min away picked up and dropped us off at shop. This last occasion was our SUV where an old guy backing into it in a parking lot. 1,200$ worth of damage. I went to get an estimate while waiting for their insurance. Shop called State Farm got me on the phone with them got approval for repairs and rental. Scheduled appt 3 days to fix it. Got text updates each day. Zip zip all done. Just left rental there for Co to pick up. They even cleaned the entire car inside and out (it really needed it). Looked brand new! Highly recommend them. Just picked up our Camry, they didn't call to say it was ready, but I just got tired of waiting for it. Michael Pericles did the estimate, about 2k to fix (top dollar) and about a week to do the work. Blew by the one week date with no courtesy status call. 3 weeks later, I went down and picked up the car. Their repair work is good (maybe excellent), their customer service skills "suck". Michael's attitude and customer service skills suck (sorry big guy, if you deserved better, I would be happy to provide). This is a shop that's gets the work in then manages it to their advantage (not yours), if you are on the plus side, you win, otherwise your work gets done when they can fit it in (regardless of the original estimate). They are a busy shop with plenty of business. But, if you need common courtesy, good customer service (timely status calls) and an accurate completion date, there are better shops out there. Ron, the owner, has to give away a lot of repeat business to his competitors. As for me, I won't go back. read more

They took care of all my problems with the car rental and the quality of work done on my Toyota is unbeatable -- absolutely superb. Times certainly must have changed for this company, since their "5-Star Review" from 2013. If you value a friendly atmosphere, kind employees, and a company who values your time-- LOOK ELSEWHERE! I literally very rarely write reviews, but this place upset me to such a degree I NEED to warn others. My experience started with my first phone call to the shop, in which I was rudely greeted by a horrendous and obnoxious voice and tone "Hi." Ok.... I thought maybe I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and explained what Id like to have done. "Yeah uhhh I 'guess' we can do that..."" Come here at 1" perhaps I should've taken that as a warning but I once again have them the benefit of the doubt. Me, being in the Army, have been taught to always show up to everything 15 minutes prior, so I did, as usual. 12:45pm I walk up to the front office with a shining smile and thinking the best, only to be greeted by an unwelcoming office receptionist. I told her who I was and that I called earlier and she had me fill out some forms as is standard at all auto body shops. I filled out the form and handed it to her with a smile and she gave me a card of the man who was to give me my "estimate". She instructed me to sit down, so I obeyed. A solid 10 minutes later (I was keeping track) she finally picked up a phone and said to please have "Richard" come up front for a man waiting here for him please. I was releived, only to be utterly let down slightly more... 10 minutes later, he arrives. We walk out to my car parked out front and I tell him what I would like done. Then it begins raining... He then receives a phone call which of course he "had to take", so we go back into the office, where he leaves me and goes into his own back office. 30! 30 minutes later, without an apology! Then quotes me DOUBLE the price of my estimate from another nearby auto body shop's estimate for the same exact job!! I easily told the man that that is quite higher than the other auto body ahops's estimate; to which he replied in an obnoxious voice "Well just have them do it then." I simply told the man thank you and left the business in disgust. I am extremely glad I didn't leave my vehicle in their hands for even a minute because after a gage of their service, I can say they are one auto body shop I NEVER intend on trying. So please BEWARE of this place, and I would STRONGLY suggest looking elsewhere, for a much more friendly and customer oriented business. read more

Superior Auto Body is on the sign outside for clarification. The only thing nice about this place is that the store is not what you would expect it to look like. It looks like a doctors office when you go in. That was the only thing remotely good about it. First when I called and asked if they could do repairs on a BMW 2010 convertible the smart ass answer I got was "we ARE a body shop" I clarified that I wasn't sure they worked on imports and decided to bring my car in for an estimate anyway. I was greeted by the same rude person, Kim, who is equally as rude in person. The estimate for the very minor repair to my car was three times what the BMW dealer had estimated to charge me. While I was impatient waiting for BMW to get the part in I would certainly much rather go to a professional respectful place. Thank God I don't often have a need for a body shop read more
