I needed to quickly re-carpet bedrooms in a house I was putting for rent and not only they gave me very good price but also were able to accommodate me on a super short notice. The installer decided to seam the carpet different way then I and Monte agreed on in the doorways, so they needed little more carpet and Monte supplied them with extra carpet with out even asking me to pay anything extra. Their installer's also did excellent and very professional job, they came with a power stretcher and took care not to damage any moldings. I have never written a bad review before. However, it is warranted at this time. Please review my pictures - they will show you everything. I saved for a long time for this carpeting. It was "Pet" friendly carpeting, expensive, however I wanted to get a Dog after my Mother passed away as I took care of her for 10 years and I would now have the time to take care of a Dog, and wanted a companion. The day of the installation went very wrong. The carpet was not stretched properly, there were ripples in some areas, and the corners were coming up in places. Afterward, I contacted the owner, Monte, and after much discussion he finally agreed and sent another installer. This installer fixed some of the problems, however there were still some issues. I explained I was nervous that other issues would come up as the carpet was walked on, as I still saw some laxity in places. Monte's exact words to me were "live with the carpeting, and if other issues come up, I will send someone to address the areas." More rippling began to build over time. I always thought that Monte would come and take care of it, so I gave it some time and thought I would take care of all issues in one visit, and I was mourning the loss of my Mother and needed time to grieve. The carpeting was installed less than two years ago. I just contacted Monte, sent him the pictures fully expecting he would send someone and he told me "you had one year warranty and it expired." He will not help me. Please look closely at the pictures and rippling. This should not happen less than two years after installation. It was a rush job requiring initial repairs, and then "assuring" me he would come make additional repairs if needed. Please consider not doing business at Monte's store if you can help it. I would not want you to take the chance of something like this happening to you. read more

I came in June 6, 2023 and needed to replace laminate flooring for a living room and room. It was such a great experience. Found exactly what I wanted (and I am picky and pregnant with twins at the time). They were kind, informative, and had everything I needed for this project. Even things I didn't know I needed. So they saved me extra trips and they have great prices. Flash to today 11/4/2025. One of the boards got damaged and I needed 3 pieces to replace it. Called in to see if they still had the same flooring. They looked it up and said they'd call me if they found it. 30 minutes later they informed me they found the same laminate and it's ready for pick up! I picked out a carpet and had it installed over the weekend. There was a problem with the installation in a few areas. I have known Monte and his family for over 30 years and his company has done work in our own homes, our rentals and many of our friends' homes. Their staff is professional, friendly, courteous and very helpful and they do a great job helping you pick out what you need and their flooring installers do a great job to finish the job very professionally. The carpet installers knew what they were doing and did a great job and even brought their own vacuum to "clean up" the excess carpet debris after they were finished with the job. I had a very delightful experience at Carpets by Monte. This was my first time getting my floors replaced so it was nice to work with people that took time out to explain the products and meet me in the middle with pricing. The pricing is very fair and reasonable. The service and product were both very good. I got Lion's Flooring. Danny is a very approachable and patient. He is very reasonable to talk to and this is his forte. I never felt intimidated to ask him questions. What is great about Danny is even after the installation I called him and he gave me suggestions and we spoke pleasantly. He is wonderful. Monte, is very nice and attentive. He was not the sort to talk about the costs of other past projects. He stuck to my situation and talked about what could help me. During the installation Danny called to check in and I told him some of my concerns and he and Monte came by my home to take a look. Wooooow! These guys are very involved and hands on. That was a wonderful surprise! I immediately felt more at ease because I was so nervous with the way things were going. I paid in full for my floors and when I later discovered some issues, they resolved it within a month. There were no excuses and I loved that. It made the experience of working with them even better. Monte is a smart man. He made the business call of having different people come by to resolve the issues. They did a great job. Having a fresh pair of eyes from other people was a good call because they saw the flaws and worked without bias. Another positive thing about Carpets by Monte is that everyone was on time. Appointments were on time so I did not worry. I know a lot of you out there know the pain and anxiety of waiting for contractors to show up to your home and they sometimes don't show up or they are late. Monte runs a tight ship. 9:00 am start time means exactly that. Communication was clear. He gave me the names of the people that would come by so I knew who would be in my home. There were no surprises or unexpected increase in cost with this business. I want to replace my carpets and bathroom flooring and I will certainly give this place a call and look forward to the friendly greetings and people at the showroom. Some places do not care to know your name after you have paid them in full, not this super great place. This place is professional and straight-foward. I really enjoyed my experience here and will give them a call for other future jobs and they get my highest recommendations for providing great service before, during and after installation. Highly recommend Carpets by Monte. We had a small 10x12 ft room in our home become flooded and we needed to replace the carpet and baseboards. Monte and his team were very attentive in-store and even found us a remnant of a higher quality carpet he was willing to let go at a lower cost due to the small size left. For our job, there was a mismatched baseboard placed on one of the walls (looked very similar and was a near-miss). After I called to inquire about this, Monte sent someone out next day to repair it free of charge. I have found this business to be honest and that they stand behind their work. Visited this place based off its yelp reviews and I am so glad I did. We were helped by Enrique who guided us around the store based off what we wanted. He provided a rough quote based off our measurements and the carpet we selected. We parted ways as we wanted to make sure we got the best deal. About an hour later after visiting other carpet stores we asked if Enrique could come to our house and measure as we had not accounted for some things. He arrived 20 minutes later without issue. He provided us our quote and advised he could send a crew the following day! The install crew came on time and were friendly. Not only did we get the best carpet for the best price but the whole process was smooth and quick ! Monte the owner is wonderful as we did meet him and speak to him while in the store. Enrique provided me with an estimate for three different types of flooring; all were reasonably priced. When I was ready to select the type of carpet, Enrique dropped-off a great variety of samples that were all within his initially provided estimate (so helpful, especially since other carpet companies had me pick up samples that later turned out to be more expensive than what I was originally quoted). They got me on their calendar quickly for installation. I called Monte because I had a question about treating the subflooring (pet stains) and during our call he decided to drive over to the house to take a look for me and offer a solution. Totally unacceptable. The only reason this business is getting two stars instead of one is because they were decent to deal with up to that point. But I don't have any tolerance for a business who just blows you off. **Follow up to Monte's response** Monty, I spend a lot of time marking up your contract, after which you called me to discuss it. The last you and I spoke you were going to get back to us with your suggested changes. You never got back to us as you had promised. I am tired of contractors blowing me off, and it is my policy to give bad reviews to people who blow me off, especially when they have 5 starts on Yelp. This is top notch establishment. I purchased some wood flooring from here and picked it up myself. When I got home and had my installers open the boxes then discovered some of the panels were defective. I called Monte and he instructed me to bring them back. They removed the old carpeting/padding from a stairwell, hallway, and 4 bedrooms and installed a new carpet that Monte had recommended and that we are very happy with.
