We also ordered steamed lobsters, steamers and crabs. They were delicious. Cooked perfectly and packaged well so it will stay warm, but also not make a mess in your car. Funny thing, people loved the crab more than the lobster! We got 2+ pounders so they were not small ones!

I have been going here for years, and thankfully, it's not closer cause I would be going far more often, and I'd be broke! The staff is always friendly, and the freshness of everything is as good as it gets. You will see what I mean by that when you walk in the door. The clam chowder they offer is fantastic, and the lobster roll kits they have available are as fresh as they get and are very reasonable priced at $18.99 What great about the lobster roll kits for me is it has all the lobster parts, not just the claws and knuckles which I find kind of boring. I love that a lot of their stuff is locally caught as well. If you are looking for the best of the best and the freshest seafood available, then this is your place!

I was really happy to see all the gluten-free options they had on the menu and our server was amazing. They have really good options on the menu from crispy dragon rolls to blackened halibut and, of course, lobster rolls. But I chose the bacon lobster tomato and it was perfect for lunch. Their gluten-free bun was a fluffy and rice flour based (for all of you with nut allergies to almond flour) the fries are not gluten free (we got plates to split to try more) The salmon carpaccio was a great appetizer and we also got the Sword fish dish. The house clam chowder is a MUST get and next time I'm definitely going to order the lobster Mac and cheese. The view was super nice. We had a great day to eat outside/ inside right along the indoor patio window. Overall I'd come back here and recommend you try this restaurant when you come to the cape!

Absolutely unacceptable experience…read more We were forced to wait for an hour and a half, only to be told that we were no longer on the waiting list when we checked back. This is completely unacceptable and reflects extremely poor organization. When I asked the hostess to speak with the manager, she arrogantly replied, "I am the manager." Her attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. They insisted they had sent me a text message, but I never received one. I even showed them my phone to prove there was no message, and their response was, "That's not our problem." Instead of trying to resolve the issue, they chose to blame the customer and showed absolutely no concern. The level of disrespect we experienced was shocking. The staff clearly have no regard for customer service or basic courtesy. Being treated this way after waiting 90 minutes is unacceptable. I will never return, and I would strongly discourage anyone from supporting a business that treats its customers with such disrespect

The lobster bisque was disappointing and quite bland, especially given the hype. We also ordered a cup of clam chowder and it barely had any clams in it and was also very bland. I ordered a lobster roll and a separate order of onion rings as well. The lobster roll was just okay , the lobster itself was cooked well, but there wasn't a lot of meat for the price, so it didn't feel like a great value. The onion rings were fine but nothing special. The setup is more of a quick-service style: you order at the counter, get a buzzer, sit down, and then go pick up your food when it's ready. It's convenient enough if you're looking for something fast and casual, but between the bland bisque and chowder and the average lobster roll, it's not a place I'd go out of my way to visit again. I probably wouldn't stop here next time.

First, they are an everything artisan food store: sandwiches to be made or pre-made to-go, a fine wine collection (caveat emptor - they tend to store the finer wines vertically - a major wine faux paus), fine artisan pasta, organic bakery, and a very nice British-style candy offering. Secondly, in the wine room off to the side they have a table and chairs where you can sit and sip your coffee. No bathroom. Only one table. With four chairs. My only complaint, well, not really a complaint per se, an observation. In my empirical experience, the lady who runs the cash register seemingly watches you, as though you are going to shoplift. It's a little uncomfortable, as we are Harvard educated yuppies, dressed right out of the Preppy Handbook, and we don't present ourselves in a sketchy or shifty manner. It's ok, ma'am, that little inconvenience is worth your offerings a couple of times a year. It's Jarvesville, not Twin Peaks.

There are several reasons to shop at this always very crowded grocery store on Cape Cod…read more One, the prices. They cannot be beat anywhere. Market Basket provides value compared to the other large grocery chains. This not only includes private label products but also branded products. I could easily put a list together on items that are much cheaper here than Stop & Shop. Example: a popular brand of soup. 2 cans for $5 at Market Basket. One (1), can of same exact soup is $4.79 at Stop & Shop...what???? Two, the service. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Also, they always have a decent amount of checkout cashiers, so even on the busy days, the lines are not too bad. Three, the cafe. The cafe has very good takeout food and offers an excellent variety. The pizza is solid. I hear people raving about the steak bombs, but I have not tried one yet. Four, the location. This location is just past the Sagamore bridge as you head east over the canal. It's easy to get to and then get back on the mid-cape highway. The only real negative is that it is generally pretty crowded (for the reasons I mentioned above, I am sure). The store aisles are a bit tight, so it can get pretty hectic in there. However, the pros far outweigh this one con.

Because it's so crowded many pickpocketers prey on distracted people with kids or vacationers. Make sure you don't leave anything in your cart that's a personal item because IT WILL GET STOLEN if you walk more than a foot from your cart. Happened to me and another man in the 30 minutes I was there. I walked three feet to grab eggs and had to wait a minute due to a person in front of me. The criminals took my cart and another person's cart- combining half the items and then walked away with my cart and bag toward an exit. Thankfully the bag was not my purse but they thought it was! In my case they were two dark haired people working together. A security guard who roams the aisles would be a good idea. Really. Be careful!

Not busy at all. One very odd guy at the counter and 3 deuces besides us in booths. Hubs tried the Buffalo Chicken Tenders which he said were unremarkable but fine. I had the meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes and the 'zucchini medley'. In all honesty but for the oiliness of the gravy my dinner was really good and so hot that I had to adjust everything in order to release some of the heat. The meatloaf was serviceable and a large portion of it (I'm having the remnants as a sandwich for lunch today), the mashed potatoes were definitely from fresh potatoes as I found a not unpleasant chunk of unmashed potato in there. The zucchini was a real treat with caramelized zucchini, which I love, crispy shallots and grape tomatoes. All, as I said, piping hot. Good, inexpensive diner food, server with speed, friendliness and care in a cutesy Cape Cod diner.
