Great lobster at a great price. Plus he gave my kids little lobster stuffies that were a big hit.

What a great find Sue had a coupon for the Cove…read moreWe were pleasantly surprised at the upscale restaurant right near the end of the Main Street in Hyannis The service was superb! Katie was our waitress, and she aimed to please from the wine tasting to make sure we like our choices from the wine list We both selected the fish taco with pineapple salsa with a very nice dressing The unique potato chip fried fish was so fresh We opt for the garlic bread to go with our wine and that too had its special flare I know we both said this is a first but not our last trip to enjoy the food ,service and ambience . Thanks Katie for answering all our many questions and making so many extra trips to the kitchen for us Jackie S

We came here because of the great reviews and sat at the bar, but we were pretty disappointed. The…read morebluefish pate itself was good, but rather on the salty side, so serving it with salt and vinegar chips made it pretty much inedibly salty (this was taken off the bill when the bartender noticed we didn't eat more than one bite each). My first glass of vinho verde wine was served at room temperature (the second was fine), and the side plate I was given was crusted with dried food residue. I also watched an employee behind the bar wipe her nose with her hand and then continue slicing citrus barehanded. The chicken empanadas were good but not particularly special. We also had one of the small pizzas, which was the best thing of the night, crispy and flavorful (with a little char at the edges, which we like). The decor is a little bananas (different shades of green between the walls, the napkins, the barstools, and the banquettes; five kinds of lighting fixtures; lots of sound and lighting items with exposed, hasty-looking wiring). The bathroom door doesn't really close and lock properly. And the restaurant is really loud, even half full. The writing on the menu, about family members and special recipes, tells me that there's pride here and real care about making a good restaurant. However, without the attention to detail (particularly cleanliness and hygiene!), that's kind of moot. Three stars instead of two here because the pizza was good and the staff obviously care about customers.

The best way to describe this as a tourist to the area is almost a fast casual dining experience, not in the sense that it's fast food, that you order at a counter and take it to your seat. The dining area is large, and comfy lots of ocean themed decor. Lots of options on the menu..almost too much. Our food was out very quick less than 7-10 minutes.(Props to the cooks). I got the 1/2 order of fish n chips and the portions were great, fish was flakey and was battered nicely. The fries did not taste fishy either which means they are most likely using a separate fryer. My gf got the reg lobster roll, I thought it was bland but she said it was good. It was not busy, looked like a few locals inside dining for lunch. I would've liked a little music to be playing it was awkwardly quiet even with the other customers inside. 5/5 good quick stop for lunch, great for anyone needing a quick bite and wanting Cape Cod seafood. No complaints.

Unfortunately, this place has lost it's shine. Lobster tasted old and borderline bad on the lobster…read moreroll, the lobster bisque was flavorless and too thick. Fried clams strips were good and the fish was good and the broil was good. But I recommend staying away from the lobster and the bisque. A good rule of thumb is if it's Fried you're probably OK. Especially at those prices.

Captain Parker's doesn't take reservations so expect a wait. We had a party of 8 and waited about…read more40 minutes. The service throughout was great and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We started with the fried calamari and it was one of the best preparations I've had. It came with diced tomatoes and banana pepper rings which added a nice freshness and a little kick. For mains, the baked cod was excellent. The panko crust was crispy, the fish was fresh, and it came with well seasoned mashed potatoes and vegetables. The Fisherman's Platter was also fantastic. It came with fried cod, shrimp, scallops, clam strips, and two sides. I picked buttered rice and mashed potatoes, both of which were really good. Everything was fried perfectly and it also came with tartar sauce and a spicy sauce. It's a huge portion, so I'd recommend sharing it with another person. The kids fish and chips were good. The kids mac and cheese was the biggest disappointment. It tasted like Kraft or something very similar and felt severely overpriced for what it was. Someone else ordered the Crunchy Fish Sandwich which looked really good, although I didn't get to try it. For drinks I had the Citrus Mule and didn't really care for it. Overall, I really liked the menu. There was a good variety of seafood and non-seafood options, everything tasted fresh, and the service was excellent. Cost was roughly $36 per person which felt fair considering the quality and portions. We enjoyed this meal more than Skipper and I'd definitely come back.

Captain Parker's is a must go when you're in Hyannis/Yarmouth…read more I'm not exaggerating when I say the Clam Chowder is the best I have had in my entire life. The flavor is perfect in every way. I ordered the Traditional Fried Fish sandwich with a side of Onions Rings. The sandwich was very flavorful but was extremely thin. I was expecting a solid sized piece of fish, especially for being in the area it's located in. I decided to do the $3 up charge to switch to the onion rings instead of fries and it was a mistake. I only got around six of them and you could tell they were frozen and not homemade. Which is disappointing for a restaurant that has won awards for it's chowder. I also got to try a French Dip sandwich which was a special for the weekend. It was phenomenal. The Au Jus that came with it was one of the best I've had. The meat was tender and the bread was very fresh. The restaurant had a very unique vibe to it, not something you'll see often at other restaurants. The staff was super nice, and the girl at the front checking people in was working so hard! It was impressive.
