Not only did they give us a fair price on a Vita Spas Envie but they also financed it for us at 0% interest. We've now had this tub now for many years and have made so many memories with our friends in the backyard and gained relief for our sore muscles since our purchase in 2022! Thank you! Highly recommend Custom Spas Direct in Upland! Check them out!

Although I was about to purchase a hot tub from a large, well known dealer in Corona, I decided to look at Custom Spas Direct, which has good online reviews and happens to be very close to our house. I'm glad I did. I was not familiar with the Vita spa brand that Custom Spas Direct sells. There's very little information available online. After doing some digging, I determined that Vita is a decent, mid-range spa with competitive pricing. Nothing fancy, but it's built with good components from companies like Balboa Water Group. Dealing with Custom Spas Direct has been fantastic. It's a small company and we interacted directly with Jim Galpin, the owner. Jim is a straightforward guy and he was very helpful in choosing a spa. Since I was unfamiliar with Vita, I had a lot of questions and he patiently answered all of them. He quickly responded whenever I sent him a text with a question or request. After the purchase, he was super flexible with regard to delivery, setup timing, coordinating with the electrician's schedule, etc. The delivery and setup was quick and well done. The installer did a good job answering all of my questions. We've had the spa six months and have had a couple of minor issues. One was probably due to user error on my part and the other was not. In both cases, Jim responded to my texts immediately and quickly resolved my issue, even during a holiday week. I'm so glad I purchased from a local dealer that provides such fantastic service after the sale. I'm sure a larger dealer would not have given us the same treatment. Thanks Jim! Five stars!

Very Disappointed With Paradise Pools…read more Paradise installed our pool in 2008, and because of our history with the company, I recently contacted them when I needed some decking repairs. I also initially needed a new pool pump. I called Paradise on a Saturday to request an estimate. They couldn't come out until Wednesday. Since I needed to get our pool back up and running for our granddaughter's swim lessons, I found another company that was able to replace the pump on Monday. I still needed Paradise to provide an estimate for the sinking decking, so I kept the Wednesday appointment. When their service technician, Larry, arrived, he looked at the decking and then called the office. He spoke with Wayne, who told him that I would have to pay a $175 service call fee. This fee had never been mentioned to me when I called to schedule the visit--neither verbally nor otherwise. I told Larry that I was not willing to pay a fee that had never been disclosed and asked him to leave my property. I also pointed out that the concrete around the gas line installed by Paradise was sinking. Larry told me that this was due to the soil not being properly compacted before the concrete was poured. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled. Paradise installed our pool, and we even referred another customer to them at the time. Given that history, I expected much better customer service and communication. If there is a $175 service-call charge just to come out and provide an estimate, that should be clearly disclosed when the appointment is scheduled. Had I known about the fee beforehand, I could have made an informed decision about whether to have them come out. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be using Paradise again and cannot recommend them.

Warning when you set the meeting up with the sales rep you'll be walking into a HIGH pressure sales…read morepitch. They'll probably give you a song and dance about how they're moving and need to get rid of stock. Then they'll sit you throw a lengthy disingenuous PowerPoint presentation aimed at making you think their spas are really better than the name brands. It felt very similar to a time share presentation. My meeting with the sales rep was not a positive experience. I felt extremely pressured to buy right then and was "purposely" mislead by their very questionable sales tactics and half truths. Do your homework and compare "all" the options as a deal may not be a deal after all. I toned down the wording from my original review after I was contacted by the sales rep in question. I personally would NEVER do business with this company. Update. I was originally "tricked" into making an appointment by the lady answering the phone, I was told that "they were moving and had to get rid of stock at blow out prices. I was told that "I needed to get in right away". Next week might be too late. That was back in September of 2015. I quickly realized that I was suckered into a hard sell / high pressure environment and was being mislead, as was apparent by my above review. So they're still here, my review should be a big red flag of the honesty of this establishment. If they want this review to go away, they could simply move, like I was told they were and this review would disappear as it was written for their old address.

JJ's Pool Supply Service - Now TAKING New accounts!!!!

I am a landlord for multiple properties in the northern Fontana and Rancho Cucamonga areas. I live…read moreout of state and needed a reliable pool service with extensive education, knowledge, and great communications. I hired JJ Pool Supply back in 2016. The first couple of years were great. Johanna helped us convert our pool to a salt water system and did major renovations with the pool such as replastered and replaced the tiles. For the most part, Johanna communicated well with me and my then tenants. She made sure to get my consent as a landlord before proceeding with any complaints from the tenants. There was a small period between 2019-2020 when we left Johanna to try another company due to financial difficulties not being able to afford Johanna's rate. That was a mistake because the other company messed up our salt water chemicals forcing us to go back to Johanna. I am rating her a 3-star because although Johanna's communication was her strongest quality, her lack of precise diagnostic ability almost costs us 2k-4k repair quoted by Johanna regarding a Jacuzzi heater issue. Thankfully, we got a second opinion from our home warranty insurance and was told that the only issue was that one of the valve was accidently shut off which must have happened during the major renovations. Other things that bothered me was that Johanna does not do pool maintenance during windy or rainy days. One time our service date landed on a windy day. Her team checked the chemicals and did the best they can to clean but it was too windy and they had to call it a day (understandable). My new tenants notified me that the pool was still very dirty (as expected) and was complaining because they were hosting a pool party super bowl event and was expecting several guest to use the pool. When I called Johanna to request to come back to finish the maintenance cleaning for that week, she advised me that it would have cost me a service call of $95. Unfortunately, we are not currently with JJ's Pool Supply. However, we appreciated her service to us for many years. Best of luck!

J&J Pool Service was punctual and showed up consistently, so I'll give them credit for that…read more However, almost every week it became the same conversation: I was told the pool didn't have enough chlorine and that I needed to pay extra for additional chemicals--even though I was already paying them to maintain the pool. I've owned pools for many years and have dealt with multiple pool services. This is a large pool, and at $150 per month, I was surprised to find out that only one gallon of chlorine was being provided. When I questioned why the chlorine kept disappearing, I was repeatedly told that it was because "people are peeing in the pool." That explanation got old quickly. The basic service itself was good and they were punctual, but the constant additional charges and what felt like hidden fees became frustrating. If chemicals beyond such a small amount are going to cost extra every week, I believe that should be made very clear upfront. Ultimately, I decided to cut ties and find another pool service. Good punctuality and decent service, but the unexpected additional costs made it not worth continuing for me.
