One of them walked me to the main office and waiting area. I paid for the smog service in less than 3 mins. I was asked to wait in the waiting area until the Smog was finished. The waiting area is very cute with all the decor and model cars. There is also a restroom available in the waiting area. The entire process took less than 20 minutes. In the process of my tires they checked my breaks and showed me how low my break pads were. Since I was there I had them replace them. I paid less than $750! As a teacher that is a big chunk of money, but worth every penny. Permit me to explain.... First of all, Teresa (the owner) is there like every day. Well at least every day I have been there. The other young lady there (I feel so bad I haven't learned names yet), well she is so friendly too! When you are at this particular speedee oil you forget you're at a franchise store because it seems soooooo mom and pops like. What I mean is, you get the genuine care of a place that has quality service, backed by a familiar franchise name, but stands out from ALL speedee oils I have ever been to. As a newish resident of Davis my ambition is to have my doctor, my care place, my go to places in one location. It's a privilege to be able to now how a car place that not only do I feel safe and confident to go to, I aim to get to know each persons name. The mechanics are all authentic and kind, the owner is beyond thoughtful. Not to be sexist but it is reassuring in a way to see two women there running the show. I'm fully aware that I'm prissy and grew up in a way that was always a matter of "pay" to fix car trouble. I don't know a carburetor from a Chrysler ha ha. Well I do, but the point is, I never feel swindled, they are honest, and treat each person like a valued customer. The mechanic who did my intake seemed genuinely surprised I remembered him telling me about my tires from my last oil change and that I came back when I said I would. This is my place and will be for as long as they will have me. I highly recommend going, they are very efficient, and there is a sense of security that you are being taken care of.

Quick and easy process…read more Had to have my very first smog check this year. This location popped up when looking for one on yelp. Called to make sure that walk ins were okay that day, which they were. It's located in a little industrial area. The worker greeted me to confirm I was in the right place. Invited me in to wait until it was my car's turn. The waiting room is modest, and has maybe 6 or so chairs. There were only 2 of us waiting at a time while I was there. Didn't take more than 10 minutes until it was my turn. Gave him my registration notice, filled out simple paperwork, paid about $58. Waited a couple of more minutes for my car to be tested. He showed me the results paper, said it was sent directly to the DMV, handed my keys back and I was on my way. Great in and out process, highly recommend.
