If you have an appointment here,don't plan on being taken back on time,for a basic return it takes only minutes however you'll need a couple hours just to do so due to the lack of time management .Every appointment I've ever been to here I wait an hour plus to be seen.Fees are never straight forward either which is disappointing. did my 2019 taxes with Samantha and she messed up my direct deposit info . She forgot the last digit in my bank account ,creating significant issues for me! This delayed my federal and state taxes significantly. I waited months to finally receive my money ,than it delayed my 1st stimulus check I didn't receive that in a timely matter either . I am still suffering from her mistake as my federal refund will be delayed because I claimed the 2nd stimulus on it and they sent it to the bank account info from my 2019 taxes which is inaccurate!!I have 3 little ones and the federal taxes help pay our family finances in advance .I am super disappointed and will not go here again . read more

I've been going to H&R Block for a few years. I wasn't entirely happy with them, but they're located close to my home, so out of convenience, I found myself there year after year. This year, my taxes are much more complicated. I went to H&R, asked a few questions about my taxes, and the gal (who barely spoke English), looked at me with a blank stare. I've been going to Rob and his crew for a few years now, and they've always been professional. Rob's the boss, so sometimes he's hard to contact 'cuz he's popular, but they do as good a job as I've ever had done on taxes, and they're as cheap as other places that crank out lots of returns like the big ones I won't mention. My co-worker recommended this place a couple years ago, saying how great Robert Smith was. She got back a shitload in returns and got 2 other co-workers to do their taxes last year. Both said they got a lot in return also, but one said he seemed pretty shady if you can get back that much in returns. I agreed at first and got really skeptical about going there so I did my taxes elsewhere. This year, I needed to do my taxes ASAP because of financial aid so I bit the bullet and went there. I went on a Friday night, and thought I needed to schedule an appointment with Robert, but they also took walk-ins. It's a big tax place with a lot of clients, but luckily they said it wasn't busy so he saw me right away. He has his own office so it's a little more private. If you refer someone I believe they get a discount as well as you, so tell them I referred you! It only took about 20-30 minutes to do my taxes, but he was very thorough. The only downside (and he even agreed) was the cost of preparing your taxes. read more

We have seen Dolores at Superior Tax for 6 years. This will definitely be the last. We just recently filed our taxes and were told that we would have a certain amount come back to us. Not only was the amount different but the IRS also had taken money from us. When we called Dolores she told us that she made changes to our return after we left and forgot to call us. She said that she had a logical explanation for why she did what she did and that she would go over it during a phone call. After numerous attempts of trying to get in touch with her, leaving several messages, none of our phone calls were ever returned. We are now pursuing legal action. Do not get your taxes done here if you do not want to get audited by the IRS ! Robert Smith did mine & my husband's taxes. Ours was a straightforward married couple filing jointly with 1 W-2 form each, a mortgage & 2 dependents. He electronically filed our taxes that said we're getting almost $3000 refund. A few weeks later IRS notified us that there's an error in our retun and that we owed the IRS close to $800 instead. When we called the office asking for Robert for explanation, he never returned our call & instead had somebody else call us back to tell us that Robert made a mistake in plugging in our info. This guy is an idiot and careless with his work ... do not go to him !!! read more

Terrible business practice. Very rude and unprofessional. They incorrectly submitted my return and had to amend my tax return twice which will cause me to have to wait 12 weeks for my return and used the incorrect number of dependents. This will affect my stimulus check and cause hardship for me and my depends. My hours at work have been reduced. I was not offered an apology only that I can file for unemployment which was said by Tom. The owner Robert said nothing he can do and hung up. read more

I made an appointment with Robert Smith for our taxes. 10 minutes after our appointment time another person greeted us and said he could get us started. We never saw Robert. We finished with the other person and were told that it is difficult to get an appointment with Robert and next year we could make an appointment with this new person. I don't appreciate being passed off to someone else. They should have been honest from the start, told me that Robert's schedule was booked and offered other personnel at that time. read more

Andrew! Is awesome, always getting me that money. I wish I could give 5 stars but I'm not reviewing my tax preparer. The place gets crowded around tax time, and beware of the kids running amuck and smell of ass when they are booked. A lot of the customers seem to be Hispanic, and don't mind their kids running around the tiny make shift waiting room screaming. Other than those annoying factors the receptionist this year was very nice and helpful. I'm glad I only go in once a year, and again Andrew is awesome! read more

"I DO NOT RECOMEND HIM" It's probably too late, but keep this in mind for next year. Remember this name (Ron Smith). He likes to play the honest guy. If you ever go to this place, BECAREFUL with this person. He does not talk about his fees, even if you ask him. This was my first time there. A friend of mine refered him to me. When I was about to pay him cash, he said that he had already taken his fees out of my refund check. As I was leaving his office, I asked him how much he had charged, "a hundred something", he said. When I got home, I checked all the paperwork he had given me. I found out he had charged me almost $300.00. I tried to get ahold of him three times, but it seems that it is easier to contact the president of the united states. Anyways, I had to raised my voice in order to talk to him. He said that doing it electronically was more expensive, and that he missed to explain that to me. ( I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY HE WAS CHARGING ME FOR ELECTRONICALLY SERVICE, WHEN AS SOON AS I GOT THERE THEY MADE ME FILL OUT A FORM WHERE I WAS SUPPOSE TO PROVIDE MY BANK ACCOUNT. IT WAS VERY CLEAR THAT I DIDN'T WANT THEM TO DO IT ELECTRONICALLY. THEN, THEY EVEN ASKED AGAIN IF I WANT IT TO DO SO, AND SAID "NO" AGAIN). Not being enough. It has been almost two months and still haven't received my checks. I called the IRS myself and I found out that he had provided them with the wrong mail address. Now I have have to wait another month. I don't get how all the paperwork he gave me had the correct mail address, but the address he provided for both of my checks was incorrect. I guess that's what I get for finding out that he is a deceitful person disguised of an honest guy. read more
