Wow. This place is huge and has almost everything fresh! Every department is HUGE. Such beautiful cakes. Loved their ice cream selection and agua frescas. Hay muchas cosas para hacer Chamoyadas también.

You can't go wrong with Nesquik but this stuff is great!

I know this may sound crazy however this is the only store in the metroplex that I have been able to find strawberry banana milk and I always come here with that in mind and leave out with all other types of things. This location has a restaurant inside of it, along with a bakery that makes some of the best bread and their fruit doesn't look like it's another stores left overs. The people are friendly, the staff is helpful (yes I'm that person that had them go look for SB milk because there weren't any on the shelves) and the items are reasonably priced.

I've been hooked on the king size burritos....the tortilla is the size of a large pizza, it's like 2lbs of food for days only $6.49! This store is great!!! I frequent this one also they make jumbo size pork skins, great snack to take back to work!!!!!!

This is hands down my most favorite Hispanic based supermarket in the US!!! I love coming here.....its good for practicing Spanish, but also great if I just want to speak English. They say they are the king of low prices and they are. Low price fruits, hot bar, and many other items but they do not sacrifice quality. Also when places are low prices they tend to be dirty, but this one is not! . My favorite places has to be the hot bar, they have so many choices and its all good. The checkout line also has cheap priced Hispanic candy/treats if you want to try some out this is the perfect opportunity! I love it here!!

    Happy cookie time!!

ALWAYS CLEAN, EVERYTHING IS FRESH, HELPFUL BILINGUAL STAFF Everytime I am in east Dallas I try and stop here for groceries, lunch, or a little bakery treat for my girls. This is one of the nicest supermarkets of any kind, and my favorite Hispanic supermarket in east Dallas. It is always well stocked, scrupulously clean, brightly lit, and the food at the hot counter is absolutely delicious. I have been here several times for lunch, and have always been happy with what I had -- very authentic honest food served up on styrofoam plates that tastes great and won't drain your pocketbook.

This is my go to grocery store when I'm trying to find any Mexican dishes, ingredients or products. This grocery store is like a one stop shop; it has a meat counter, a food court, a tortilleria and a bakery. Overall the service is always really good in this store and it's always very well maintained. If you're trying to find a good tres leches cake or a chocoflan, look no more. If you are trying to find good menudo, pozole, carnitas, look no more. If you are trying to find aguas frescas, look nomore.

I need to talk about Central Market on Lovers Lane and I need to talk about BP and I need to talk…read moreabout the produce section and I only have so many words so let's move. The produce section first because if I do not address it immediately I will think about it the whole time. Walking into the Central Market produce section is the closest a grocery store has ever come to making me feel like a child at Disney World. Not Disney World adjacent. Not Disney World inspired. Full Disney World. There are colors happening in that produce section that I did not know vegetables were capable of. Heirloom tomatoes in seventeen shades. Peppers that look like they were designed by an artist who was told to make a pepper but make it fashion. Mushrooms with names I cannot pronounce displayed like they are artifacts from a civilization that understood fungi better than we do. I have walked in there for one specific item and come out forty minutes later with things I have never cooked before and a quiet optimism about my future in the kitchen that has not always proven accurate but always feels real in the moment. I went once just for garlic. One head of garlic. I left with dragon fruit, three kinds of fresh pasta, a bunch of herbs that required me to look up two of them when I got home, and a wheel of cheese that I told myself was practical. It was not practical. I regret nothing. Now BP. BP runs the prepared foods counter at Central Market Lovers Lane and is the reason I sometimes drive there when I am not even hungry. BP was a high school math teacher in California for years. Years. Shaping young minds, writing equations on whiteboards, presumably grading papers on weekends with the quiet resignation of someone who has chosen a noble and exhausting profession. And then at some point BP looked at California, looked at Dallas, made a decision, and moved. He did most of the moving himself. I want you to think about that. This man, who spent years teaching mathematics, looked at a truck full of his belongings and said I will handle this personally. The kind of move that requires a certain stubbornness and also a pretty solid understanding of spatial reasoning which, given the math background, he had covered. BP is now behind the prepared foods counter at Central Market and is genuinely one of the warmest humans I have encountered on either side of a deli case. He talks to you like he has time, which in a prepared foods counter context is unusual and should be protected at all costs. He knows what is good that day. He will tell you. You should listen. Excellent store. Exceptional produce section. BP is the best part of the prepared foods counter and possibly of Lovers Lane entirely.

We rolled in after our morning workout and the place was packed, which honestly just confirmed we were in the right place. The ladies at the counter were awesome. I asked a ton of questions, and they didn't rush me at all--they answered everything with patience and good vibes. They even ran out of my partner's favorite salad, but then replenished it and made sure we got the size we wanted. They literally caught us at checkout to hand it over. That's hospitality. The sandwiches have street names, which gives it that real small-community feel. I went with the marble pastrami and it hit the spot after a workout. We also grabbed some drinks--this place has a surprising amount of healthy options. Enough that we walked out with a few in hand and a mental list of more to try next time. You can order to go or eat inside, and honestly both are solid options. If you see an open seat, grab it quick. Bonus points: there's a flower shop connected to the deli, so of course I wandered over and picked up some beautiful flowers for her. Perfect way to end a great visit.
