This is a tough one so let's just get to it. There is very little English spoken here but they will definitely work with you. This taqueria is located inside of a Mexican grocery store. The entrance on the left leads into the taqueria, the entrance on the right leads into the market. They are connected inside so you can use either one. I ordered tacos, chorizo, tripa, and al pastor. I also asked for water and the lady at the counter grabbed a cup and filled it out of the dish wash sink. They don't have ice apparently. It took a little bit maybe ten minutes. Not a big deal. World Cup highlights were on the tv in Spanish naturally. I started with the Tripe taco. This was the best tripe I have ever had. Salty, peppery a little fatty feeling. It was wonderful. The salsa verde had a nice acidity that went well with it. Next I went for the al pastor. This was ok. It didn't come off a spit and it was pretty lean. I like a little fattier cut like shoulder with some bark on it. Next was the chorizo. This was the worst chorizo taco I have ever had. I can say that because I have never had a bad chorizo taco. I've had great ones and good ones and even an ok one, but never a bad one. It was dry. I'm not sure how you accomplish that. It's as if it was steamed. Chorizo usually runs red with a little or a lot of grease. This had none. It was dry and bland. Not sure where you get bland chorizo but they found a supply. If I go back I will order tripe sopes. They may be so good that I will update this review to five stars.

This is how I was handed the " fresas con crema " !

I had been wanting to go for quite some time to try the Birria because I heard it is so amazing, and it really lived up to the Hype! Oh, did I mention they have the viral soft serve margaritas!?!?! I got the strawberry, it was so pretty, excellent presentation and absolutely delicious! I will say it was more like a dessert to me and I would have preferred to have it after my meal instead if before but that's just me. We got there between 6:30 and 7:00 and it was really busy, luckily our friends got there first and grabbed a table. They had already had a round of drinks while waiting on us but it took a while for anyone to come over to greet us or refill their drinks but again it was busy and everyone was helping everyone. We ended up splitting the birria platter and still had plenty of food to take home which we just ate last night as leftovers and were still absolutely fire!! I think the egg roll and quesadillas were my favorite over the tacos bc I love the melty cheese. I also ordered a small side of queso which was surprisingly a little spicy which I really enjoyed. They even surprised us when my BIL ordered a small margarita and it came out in a fish glass (see photo). It was so unexpected but also so cute at the same time ... it's really the little things like this that bring joy, okay? LOL This place was absolutely amazing and I can't wait to try it again.

The food *chefs kiss* was very flavorful and the portion size was just right. I ordered the barria tacos and it was delicious! I'm also a margarita girlie so had to do their flights and let's just say they are VERY generous with the tequila. I would recommend and am trying to find a way back!

We had one small glitch regarding an order, but it was corrected immediately. Food is delicious, fresh, and a great value for quality and quantity. Everyone in our group was complimentary of their dinner choice and would return in the future. Noise level is mild to moderate. Fans were running to assist with cooling the room, which was welcome on such a hot day and this contributed to the noise level during our visit.

There seems to have been quite a bit of turnover in the last year or so and many of the amazing servers who used to work here are gone. And, the new ones seem to provide the bare minimum of attentiveness. It used to be the case that I came frequently enough that they basically had my order down pat (including my special requests for extra hot sauce). That has been replaced with literally not even getting basic service like a timely water refill. Or, not getting silverware until I asked for it. They tried the buffet for a while (which I never partook in), but around that time the food quality seemed to get worse. They got rid of the buffet, but the food still suffers. On my recent trip, the chips were even gross. The seasoning was bland and the lettuce looked old. ¿Qué te pasó, Mi Casita? Solías ser mi lugar favorito. Me temo que ahora ya ni siquiera te tomo en cuenta para el almuerzo. En fin, lamentaré tu pérdida. Perhaps in a couple years will return to see if anything has changed, but for now, you have lost a one-time weekly or twice a week customer.

The food is excellent, menu extensive with traditional Mexican food, a select assortment of Peruvian food during the week, with specials on the weekend. The bar was well stocked, the drink menu filled with clever & delicious cocktails, beers, distilled beverages. The decor was beautiful, traditional Mexican decor, a private dinning area for parties, booths were very comfortable. Next visit will be on a weekend so we can discover delicious Peruvian cuisine.

The waitress was friendly & attentive. I had ordered the Peruvian ribs and they were mediocre. There wasn't much flavor & just tasted a bit overcooked yet warm. The rice was delicious, loved it very much & the French fries seemed homemade & very crispy delicious!! My partner unfortunately didn't enjoy his Peruvian chicken & it was quite rubbery & flavorless. I had requested a spicy sauce on the side for my ribs & I was confused what I was eating it was homemade & yellow cream color yet it was just too spicy to even enjoy!! It seems like a wonderful place for Americanized Mexican food, so I'll need to come back to try that but as for Peruvian I'm quite disappointed:/
