Wish I read the negative reviews here before our appointment to know this place is a scam. I called and booked the $85 cleaning service after the man on the phone assured a great complete cleaning. The guy shows up, looks at 1 vent in the entryway of our house, did NOT even open it, and said it would be $850 for the house! The dryer vent is $105 more! What?!?!?!? He said hooking up the small machine for $85 will not remove anything and it was a useless service. Why offer it??? I was mad and said no thank you. He said he would have to then charge me a $45 "service fee" for coming out and doing nothing! He knew I was mad. I did not say anything. He finally said, never mind, I'm just going to go now. Three huge problems with this company -- deceptive mailer coupon, poor communication, and technicians even commenting "you haven't cleaned it in years." Note: As of 4-10-22 we have not lived here that long to even objectively be part of the alleged lack of cleaning. They checked one return vent and immediately said we needed a much higher package. For a technician to actually come out and matter of fact tell you the coupon isn't worth anything before they even start the inspection, lets you know you're in for a subtle bait and switch. The comment will be "You need the $350 package and if you don't take it, you're going to pay $25 for my 8 minute inspection." Essentially, the $85 and $145 coupon is not worth the paper its printed on because every customer will be "upselled." When agreed, to the $145 package we were abruptly told "you don't need that package." The conversation immediately turned to the $25 travel fee they supposedly informed us over the phone (also not true and no where in the fine print on the mailer you receive). Although management called (Aloy) speaking on the need for a deeper inspection, and that his technicians have a lot of experience - under no circumstances should a technician ever make sweeping generalizations about how one "has not cleaned it in years" or from the get-go explain the coupon (even before he started the inspection) was not the deal SuperNova LLC was going to offer. Which begs the question, how did they know they were not going to offer the coupon even before they started the inspection? Management feedback: Technicians should have honored at a minimum the $145 coupon. Its the customer's decision whether to do a deeper cleaning or not. Recommend users stay away as the coupon could fall under bait and switch complaints or deceptive trade practices and waste your time on a Sunday. read more

Do Not Use This Company! I was given a price of air duct, AC and dryer vent cleaning of $199.00. The guy that came to my house said the dryer was $100.00. His idea of an AC cleaning was looking at the AC unit outside and walking away. Never did anything with it. I agreed to the extra $100 for the dryer vent cleaning. I went to use my dryer after he left and it had no heat. I reached out to the man that came to my house 4 times no response and also tried contacting the company directly with no response. Called and asked about service, described an issue that Roy explained was a little more complicated than a simple cleaning task, and quoted a reasonable price to do the work. Indicated that they'd be able to schedule the work promptly, and we agreed to the terms over the phone. Was given a 1-hour window during which time they'd phone on the day of service to let me know that they'd be there within 30 minutes. Today, they phoned during the promised window, said they'd be on site in 20 minutes, and showed up promptly. Roy and Howard arrived masked, with gear, and were tackling the work within minutes of their arrival. The job was a little more involved than they'd anticipated, and both men worked non-stop for over an hour to get the work done. They pointed out that a segment of the flexible vent ducting was badly worn and should be replaced. The section was in fact quite worn, and I asked if they had a replacement with them. They checked, and found out that they did, in fact, have the part in their truck. They installed that segment of duct quickly and finished up the job. SuperNoVA did fantastic work. They were thorough and the charge for their work was the price agreed upon when I'd initially contacted them (plus the charge for the additional, unanticipated duct section). As the dozens of other reviews point out here, their work was of the highest caliber. The inspections were my primary need but I wanted take of both to minimize disruption to work and our schedules. One thing though - we asked about pricing for the antibacterial/sanitizing part and was given an opinion instead of a number and that turned out to be a good chunk of the total at the end. I had them come out here to do the value pack. Deep cleaning for $145 and they ended up upselling and charging me $2,300 when all was said and done. I am legally deaf and very hard of hearing and really could not understand what the gentleman was telling me. I just told them that if it had to be done and was something that I absolutely needed than to do it. After checking my invoice that they emailed me afterwards I find out that they installed some UV light on my AC to the tune of $800 which is not something that I needed. I feel that they took advantage of my lack of knowledge and my lack of hearing and now they're not willing to come back and get this UV thing and return my $800. They are definitely practicers of bait and switch 100%. The value pack coupon they basically tell you is worthless the minute they walk through the door. On top of that they used an entire roll of my paper towels, left dust everywhere, footprints on my bathroom sink etc etc. I guess I am partially to blame for not looking at everything and reading completely beforehand but having no knowledge of ac systems. SuperNoVA is as good as it gets! DURING THE CLEANING. Moti and Alfredo were extremely professional. They called me 30 minutes before arrival, showed up exactly on time, wore shoe covers, and explained the process thoroughly. The entire duct cleaning took about 2 hours, and included suction of dust, application of cleansing solution, and before and after photos. The amount of gunk they removed was staggering (see pictures). Afterwards, they explained that the cleaning also included a one-year follow-up visit. AFTER THE CLEANING. After they left, I had trouble turning on some lights in my house. Even though it was late at night, Moti came right away to help me with my circuit breakers. When we were unsuccessful he called an electrician to replace my circuit breakers at SuperNoVA's expense. The electrician promptly arrived and everything is fine now. Like everyone else, I had one of those coupons. However, I knew my ducts haven't been cleaned in a while so I asked about the deep clean. Roy, my technician, was honest about it. I did the deep clean and he showed me some photos before and after. After the initial deep clean, you can do it every 3 years or so according to Roy. Depends on your allergies too but the other years you can do a regular clean (with their big machine vacuum) and that will cost probably $100. They run a business and prices are fair. He was at my home for almost 2 hours or more. You get what you pay for. Choose a company that does only air duct cleaning as their specialty and that's what they do. Howard and Vlad came to do cleaning after a deal I found on Groupon originally. They called half an hour before coming and even came a hour earlier than slated. Howard gave me the 401 on everything duct cleaning. The Groupon deal is really more maintenance as opposed to actual deep cleaning and sanitizing. Read the fine print. I would recommend deep cleaning/sanitizing. They were thorough and took before and after pictures for most of the ducts. They also figured out my dryer vent was not hooked up to the dryer. They cleaned up the mess behind the dryer. They informed me how often I would need the service and also what dryer clamp I would need for reattachment to the dryer. He also gave great advice on extra filtering micron paper. It took about 2.5 hours from start to finish. Update: My above view still stands, but I knocked off a star for trade made. That trade was write a review for shop vacuuming lint behind dryer after initially trying to charge $ for it. I did not appreciate that at all. It took them all of 3 minutes and they had the equipment already. Be selfless and do it no problem and that will endear one to your company. That means more referrals.
