I used SuperShuttle twice. From Newark, it was good. But from my hotel (to JFK airport) which I was staying in midtown, it was bad. I didn't know the street were close on 31st Dec. I wanted a message. Because I can't use my phone in US ( only wifi). I asked a hotel man to call you and he said "go to the corner of the street". Fortunately I could meet the driver. But .... When I told him why I wasn't on the corner (but on time not late!), his attitude was very bad and said "Everyone knows that streets are close today". Really!? If you are a New Yorker, you know it. Because NY city does the same thing every year. For tourist we don't know about the information. In addition his drive was terrible!! I was scared!! He dropped by gas station. Is it normal? In my country, you have to put the gas in advance. An American woman in the same car complained about it. I think all drivers are not like him. Sorry my English is not good. Supershuttle is terribly inconsistent from city to city. At Newark, the most confusing thing is that when you arrive, there is no signage for SuperShutttle. I finally found someone near Ground Transportation wearing a red coat near a bunch of "Welcome" signage. It turns out that the airport itself runs all the ground transportation, and you check in there for all the different options. It would be nice if there was signage that said that, but... oh well. I can't fault SuperShuttle for this, since they are playing by the rules on this one. I am unsure who to blame for the fact that after I got my bags (which was painfully slow itself) and did the where-is-ground-transportation-check-in shuffle), I still had a 30-minute wait for the shuttle! So a good hour was wasted. They knew my incoming flight, and they could have timed things. But the clock doesn't start ticking until you check in with them. Check in there FIRST, then get your bags, and you should be good. The driver was fine and the shuttle was fine (if not squeaky). One bit of suspected shadiness: When I booked online, the website gave me the option to add a tip in, so I did. Once you board the shuttle, there is a sign saying that tips are NOT included in your ticket price (in other words, encouraging you to tip again). This is NOT true, so I didn't tip a second time. I'm writing this review while sitting in a SuperShuttle van. They say New York changes you and well, that's true, I'm a changed woman (still refusing to grow up though). Two things I learned in NY: (1) time is precious, live like every minute matters and (2) do no harm, but take no shit from anyone. Okay okay, I'm off my soapbox. Anyway, I thought I'd save some money by taking a shared van to EWR. They quoted me $23 for the ride and wanted to pick me up 3.5 hours ahead of my domestic flight. 20 minutes before my scheduled pick up time, my doorman called me to notify that the shuttle had arrived! Wtf! 20 minutes early? I guess that's fine. I had just picked up lunch, so I ended up bringing it with me in a to go container. 20 seconds into the ride, the driver was swearing at bikers and pedestrians right and left, honking like a mad man and driving all crazy. I wanted to vomit the fabulously doughy and yummy chocolate croissant I had for breakfast. Then the driver proceeded to loudly talk on the phone for the next 10 minutes while still driving all nutso, cutting people off. I wasn't exactly fearing for my life (how bad of an accident can you get into traveling 10 mph?) but I was worried he would get into an accident and then I would miss my flight (yes, it's all about me). I was also worried about the safety of the bikers around us. So apparently they had scheduled him to pick up 4 people (!) and I was the first one to be picked up (lucky me!). I think SuperShuttle does a shit job adjusting the time estimate for NYC (or "accounting for market nuances in critical operational assumptions" to put it in biz speak). Sure, in any other city in the US, budgeting 10 minutes to travel a mile is probably fine. But that's not happening in Friday afternoon traffic in Manhattan. Needless to say, we ran late for the next few appointments despite picking me up 20 minutes early. To add to the misery, the driver just turned around to complain about the smell from my unopened to-go lunch container. I wanted to yell that if he hadn't picked me up 20 minutes early, I wouldn't have had to bring it with me! Bonus: they overbooked the van! We have 10 people cramped into the van. Partaaaaaay...not *super bitch face* Point of the story is that you're better off spending $20 more to catch the Chinese cab (see: Quick Ride Corp) or spending $10 less to catch the airport bus from Grand Central or Port Authority. Not reading the reviews here before booking was a terrible mistake. As I'm typing this, we haven't left the airport. We're back at the terminal I was picked up in an hour ago. An HOUR ago. My flight landed AN HOUR AND A HALF ago. If I had taken the subway, I would have been home by now. I thought the convenience of this would be worth the cost... Now I'll arrive home at least an hour later than I would have, and spent 4x as much to do it. I will never book this again and hope others will read these reviews before they do. read more

I hate the fact that I am bumping up the rating of this business with a 2-star review. The shuttle showed up on time (3 am) but was driven by a guy who spoke minimal English. My wife and I were the first in the van, with 3 hours to get from Manhattan to Newark before our flight departed. At first, I thought that the ride was going to be roomy and direct. I couldn't have been more wrong. We spent the next 1 hour and 30 minutes driving around the same blocks in Manhattan packing in 9 more people until there wasn't room to breathe. Every pick-up seemed to involve maximum confusion, where we were at the wrong address, or the people weren't waiting outside, or the driver couldn't communicate with the traveler to identify him/her... Plus, we kept driving in circles because the driver couldn't navigate the streets. I wanted to kill myself at around the third time that we drove by our hotel at an hour into the ride. Then, just for some excitement, as one of the last passengers was climbing into the van, the driver slammed her hand in the door. And I'm not talking about a bump and release. She was immobilized with her hand physically jammed in the closed door, pounding on the interior window yelling "Open the door!!" until he finally did. And then, when he finally figured out what he had done, no apology. Somehow her fingers were only badly bruised, though I was sure that our next stop was going to be the hospital. Eventually things calmed down again, and we ended up driving into Newark a full two hours after we were picked up. Though for some extra comedy as we were entering the terminal area, one passenger worriedly asked, "This is the shuttle to JFK, right?" Evidently, the reservationist put her on the wrong shuttle. You get the idea. I give two stars only because we made our flight in the end. BARELY. Taxi rates seem like a steal in retrospect. Friends don't let friends use SuperShuttle. read more

Let me start off by saying that I flew a redeye from San Diego to JFK and made a reservation to be picked up at 5 AM. I followed the directions from the confirmation email, called the call center from the airport pick up area, and the gentleman said to stay where I was and someone would call me in 20-25 mins. An hour later the driver walks in yelling my name. I waved that it was me and he said "one moment" and walked away for another ten minutes. Really? Okay. So I was finally escorted to the van and was joined by two other ladies...fifteen minutes later, you guessed it - still at the airport. Then the driver walked away again. We didn't leave the airport until over two hours after I landed. Do not recommend (the NY one, at least - I used this service in San Diego and it was great). read more

4-stars on the trip from airport "TO any MANHATTAN HOTEL". Less than 10 mins wait, LGA (LaGuardia Airport) to hotels in Manhattan. 0-star on the from hotel "TO AIRPORT". Just my two cents: from any Manhattan hotel TO LGA, GET A CAB! You'll only end up paying like $30 vs. $16/person on a Super Shuttle (SS). With a cab, you can wake up anytime. Eg, we had a 6am flight, SS said to pick us up at 2AM!!! That means 1 AM wake up call for a 6am flight, so we said NO. We went for a CAB - woke up at 4am, grabbed a cab by 4:30 and got at the airport by 5am for our 6am flight. that's 3 hours extra sleep (or partying or shopping or whatevah) for me! and if there's 2 or more of you, you'll end up paying lee on cab ($30-35) than on SS ($16/person x 2 or more). read more

My grievances are primarily with the service FROM the airport; my experiences traveling TO the airport have been fairly seamless (other than this one driver several years ago who offered me a cigarette and smoked in the van after he let the other passengers off... That was weird.). The first time I had an issue was when my flight was delayed and the rep I spoke to on the phone informed me that my shuttle had left without me and the next wasn't due for another two hours. Umm... Ok. I got my refund and took the train. This time around I called SuperShuttle from the airport the minute I found out that my flight was delayed (I have the worst luck) and the rep assured me adamantly that nothing like that would happen again. So I phoned SuperShuttle at around 9:15PM and was told my van would arrive within the half hour. I called again after 45 minutes, and was promised it would only be another 10 minutes. But of course they was unable to issue me any sort of refund without canceling the entire reservation altogether. Now it's 10:45PM and I have just gotten picked up, and we aren't even done getting other passengers. Forget SuperShuttle - if public transportation isn't an option, just pay the extra few bucks for car service or a cab. read more

I've used supershuttle three times here. Ride #1 Manhattan to JFK - they need better time management. I was the first to be picked up, only to ride 40minutes with the driver as he picked up other passengers. That wouldn't have been a problem, except that the last passenger pickup was around the corner from where I lived! Why didn't they just combine those two pickups at the same time? Gah. Ride #2 JFK to Manhattan - no problems. Ride #3 Manhattan to JFK - shuttle pickup was for 4 am. They never showed up. I ended up taking one of those black towncars to JFK. read more

This is genuinely the worst run service in NYC. I just arrived to LGA with a confirmation for a shuttle, and I had to wait 75 minutes for the shuttle to show up (when I was told it was only 20 minutes wait on my first call). Now that they've picked me up, the driver is telling me that he's dropping off everyone in downtown, and since I'm uptown, I'm going to be last. What's the point of assigning customers to different shuttles based on destination if the system is a complete fail? I couldn't be more disappointed. I could have simply taken the bus, paid $2.50, and gotten home an hour earlier. read more

This was a great disappointment and not worth the money saved instead of taking a cab. Our driver was frazzled as he ran around locating passengers. This took 25 minutes. The ride is terribly uncomfortable. They squeeze 4 people on the back bench making it impossible for people to manage seat belts..a safety concern for me. The nature of the service is that everyone gets dropped off at their door. But it takes hours to do this. At points you want to get out and grab a cab it is so frustrating. The bottom line is if we had grabbed a cab we would have made it to the hotel in 40 minutes. Instead it took us 2.5 hours to call the shuttle (booking online didn't save any time) wait around and get driven around for 1hour and a half. Worst service ever, so I make a reservation for pick up from jfk, when I get to the pick up station at 12:30am to confirm they tell me a hour, so I waited a hour goes by I call them back now they tell me there won't be a jfk pick up till 3:45am!!!!! A nice way to get from the airport to your destination and back. The great thing: they drive you all the way from the airport to your final destination, right in front of your door! So there's a max of 10 passengers in the car and they will drop of whoever is the first in the route and work their way up to the destination the farthest away from the airport. On the way back they'll also pick you up at your door and drive you to the airport and as we flew in and out of different airports in NYC would still drive us up there - I think on their website they say serving all airports. Nice! The drivers usually drive a bit "wild" but NYC traffic is wild anyways, so they kinda just adjust, I guess. So it takes some time to get to or from the airport but they pick you up way ahead, already calculating for heavy traffic in the city and bring you to your destination on time. For two people it is approximately 36 bucks which is a good offer. So if you can allow some more time for the ride (believe me, a cab won't be faster if you live far out! And public transportation is good but of course less convenient) you should definitely give Supershuttle a try! read more

I used to have a love/hate relationship with Super Shuttle. The first couple times I used the service it was a breeze. Picked me up on time and the wait at the terminal was tolerable. I didn't mind waiting 20-30 min for a ride that was only costing me $18. But now my relationship is pure hatred cause the last few times have been Horrible! And yes, that is with a capital H. On one particular trip the driver overcrowded the van. Every inch of every seat was taken up and there was so much luggage it was impossible to see out the (rather large) back window. I was happy I didn't have anything fragile in my suitcases! If that wasn't bad enough, the driver starts telling people where to sit. Ummm.... excuse me, last I checked it was 2009, not 1950 and I am not Rosa Parks! Dude got quite a shock when he told me to move to the back seat and I looked him square in the eye and replied "Hell no!" He tried to argue but eventually realized I was not going to be moving. WTF, seriously?! And then on my last trip the driver hit a taxi, but kept driving (naturally) and drove over the corner of a curb with the left side of the van, going at least 45MPH and I kid you not, I thought we were going to flip over. Needless to say that was my last time using Super Shuttle! read more

What the *bleep* ?? A friend suggested I try this app to get to Manhattan from the airport (LGA). I put in all my info and request a ride. They say I'm approved for the ride, and show on a map at the bottom of the screen that my ride is in the airport queue, shown by a little car icon. They suggest I move to a "welcome center". Where? What? I try to contact the driver to see where he is. Should I walk to him? Is he coming my way? I didn't get a response. No ETA and zero further communication from the app. I waited about 10-15 minutes. The car icon did not move. Screw this, I'm getting in a cab. I try to cancel the ride and the app refuses to let me. I exit out of the app hoping this will cancel it. Instead I get a text 30 minutes after the fact that my car is now on the way, from a completely different location and was not the same car that they said was coming earlier. I was already in Manhattan and out of a cab by now. I call to get a refund. Super Shuttle charged me for the ride and said "to bad, so sad. we've got your money." The guy on the phone said, "I'm not IT. I have no idea how the app works. But I'm going to send an email to corporate with your request for a refund. It takes seven to ten business days for them to get around to reading it though." Upon research I realized that this works more like bus than uber or lyft. I guess I should have known hence the word shuttle. But I was thinking more a pool or rideshare kind of thing. Nevertheless, I had never heard of Super Shuttle and didn't know anything about it. The app did not explain where a welcome center was or why I needed to go there. It didn't give an ETA. It didn't let me communicate with the driver. It didn't do much besides take my money. Afterwards, I still don't see the point because even the public transportation would have been faster. Super Shuttle, please tell me what I was supposed to do in order to successfully use this service. Please. Please tell me. You guys just stole 22 bucks from me at the beginning of my vacation. I use SuperShuttle like I use toothpaste...all. the. time. I've had good experiences (well, good is relative) and I've had the painful experiences. But seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeriously--when cabs will easily run you close or over $40 and I'm not the "get on the subway at 5am with my luggage" kinda girl, the $18 they charge you is like throwing pennies in the air. Quite worth it. I say just be prepared for anything. For example coming back into the city during one of those surprise NYC street fairs/festivals/bike races/protests. Definitely make sure you throw in a carry-on size carton of patience in your hand luggage. ALSO! The last time I traveled I thought I'd be slick and call ahead to arrange a pick up for myself at the airport to take me back into the city. Mmm, still had to wait 25mins (aka just save your cellular minutes and don't bother calling ahead) and then we swung back around to the same terminal I got picked up at and picked up another person. Hmm. Things to have thought about. But you always meet some crazy interesting characters. For example, the woman who asked "Isn't Orlando one of those themepark like cities???" Right. And also the woman whose boyfriend had beat her up the day before, then tricked her kids into drinking, then called the cops on them and sent them to rehab. Mmmhmm. Gems of stories. But no, no--I recommend the Super Shuttle...the Blue Van. Even though you'll get to the airport waaaaaaaaaaay early and you'll probably have some crazy driver who will scrape other cars on the narrow NYC streets, and you may spend at least an hour in the actual van....they're good peeps. Think about it, you can party until last call and then sprint home in time for your 3:30/4am pick up and be good to go. Plus, I like the fact that they didn't hold it against me that one 3am time I sprinted home...decided to "take a little shut-eye".... read more

This is a review about my experience & observations with Super Shuttle between Newark Liberty International Airport & Manhattan. Booked the reservation in advance. Arrived on a Monday morning from a red eye from SFO. Made our way from the luggage pick up to the super shuttle kiosk. (Newark's luggage pickup is dumpy & run down BTW). walked up said we had reservations - some very terse woman in a super shuttle outfit types some stuff on a computer, told us to sit down and would call our name when ready. She wasn't into really answering any questions - like how long until we get picked up, how many people are in the van, welcome to new jersey (I suppose her curt manner was the welcome). After some time that seemed line an eternity, we got our names called - along with a couple of other people. We got in and drove. We spun the super shuttle Wheel-O-Fate and of course it turns out we were the last to get dropped off. After sitting in traffic on one turn pike after another, we got to drive from the top of Manhattan all the damn way to the bottom of Manhattan. Again it seemed to take an eternity. Note to self - expect it to take 2+ hours to get from the airport to your hotel in Manhattan (i.e. - take a cab if someone else is paying :-) ) Return trip - Saturday, 6 days later Super shuttle had our pickup time set 3 hours prior to the flight. I thought that might be a little excessive so I called them and back it up 45 minutes. We were picked up right on time and again we rolled the Super Shuttle Wheel-O-Fate. First to be picked up... drat... Now there were two of us and the van holds 12 people.... We made a complete tour of Manhattan again, some parts of it twice until that damn van was full. (I had a couple of taxi drivers offer to drive us for 80 bucks (what I paid super shuttle) - their offers were looking pretty good right now) Then we got on some turnpike - or tried to and sat in traffic. Long story short - well we made it to the airport with like 3 minutes to spare (they closed the airplane door behind me as soon as I stepped foot on the plane) with a few more grey hairs on my head as part of it. Note to self - if using super shuttle to go from Manhattan to Liberty Newark, expect to be picked up THREE hours before... or... or... pay the same amount or a little more for a cab ride. read more

Flight from AUS (my beloved, tiny, pretty Austin-Bergstrom International Airport) to JFK (a huge, gaping portal to hell), which, Google tells me, would be a 1,780 mile trip, or about 1 day 3 hours, trip by car: 3 hours, 35 minutes Shuttle from JFK (a big joke) to Trump Place (condo towers at Riverside Boulevard and 70th) in minimal traffic, which, Google tells me, is 20.1 miles, or about 37 minutes by car: 4 hours, 10 minutes. FOUR HOURS AND TEN MINUTES. Moral of the story: SuperShuttle is a joke from the depths of hell. Use at your own risk. p.s. Somehow SuperShuttle in Austin, TX, doesn't suck quite so royally. My driver in New York was quite possibly crazy and played the weather radio station for four hours (hello! It's raining! it's cold!), and my driver in Austin was seemingly sane and played Celtic Woman (kinda lame, but peaceful before a flight). So don't take this as a review of all SuperShuttles, just this one. read more

This would not be my first choice in getting from the airport to a hotel and I certainly wouldn't take it back for a returning trip to the airport. First, we had to wait about 30 minutes in the airport for the shuttle to come pick us up. Then, we had to make a bunch of stops around the airport to pick up other passengers. Once the van was full, we stopped again because for some reason the driver thought another person could fit in the back. They couldn't so it was just a wasted stop. Even if the seats are made to fit 4 people in the back, it wouldn't be comfortable and no one wants to be squished in like a sardine. The van squeaked along as we left the airport. When we got to the tollway, I was shocked to see that the driver was paying cash for the toll instead of using an autopay tag! What kind of business is this? Luckily our hotel was the first stop and we were able to get off first. read more

I have used SuperShuttle many times, so when a friend had to get from the Upper East Side of Manhattan to Newark for an international flight, I helped her reserve a ride. SuperShuttle calculates the time of the flight and the time of day and assigns a pick-up time. We received a text shortly before her 3 p.m. pickup time informing us that she had been moved to the 4 p.m. slot. I called, because she had to be at the airport at 5:15. No problem, the dispatcher said. She will get there by 5. In rush hour? She and I both knew that was impossible. She refused to provide an earlier ride and to give a reduced or free ride for the 4 p.m. van. I will NEVER recommend this service or use it myself. read more

NOT super! Pick up scheduled for 4:30 am for an 8:30 flight at Laguadia. Picked up 2 other people- expected- but then went to JFK first. Both myself and the other passenger expressed concern about making our flights- hers was at 8:15 am. Driver dumped me first, at ARRIVALS, not departures, at 7:50 am where the driver said I'd have to get myself to the right area. He didn't have time to go to departures! I literally ran and was THE last person to board the plane. Don't know if they other person made their flight. Trip home? Equally bad. Redeye from the west coast got me in to JFK this time. Checked in online, and stood outside for more than 40 minutes, making and receiving multiple calls from Super Shuttle, trying to get them to find me! Told them terminal and passenger area letter. No good. Driver was parked in a lot and wandering through the crowd outside looking for me! No sign with my name- just wandering. Like he was going to find me easily this way?? Finally stood next to a police car to help him find me. Then walk all the way back to the parking lot. Live on the island south shore, east end and I'm now going to massapequa then Islip airport before I get home. Writing from the van. Wondering how long this trip is going to be........... Spend your money elsewhere and save yourself the stress and 8 extra hours of travel time. read more

Only book if you're a big fan of wasting your time. This is the longest most drawn out process. I had a 12:30 flight and my pickup time was 7:35.... yes that's 5 HOURS BEFORE my flight!!!!!! Don't read into that too much, I'm only about 6 miles from the airport. Oh and absolutely no drinks in the van, fresh coffee in hand that I hadn't taken a sip of. However there was someone puking in the backseat... the only good news is that I arrived at my gate through checkout and all 4 hours early. #sarcasm read more

Disclaimer, **this is only for the service FROM home TO the airport** This is the second time I've used super shuttle to get from Spanish harlem to Newark. LGA and JFK are generally and easily accessible by cab but Newark is just too far and expensive (over $70) by cab. super shuttle at a mere $23 +tip is a great deal. I had an early morning flight and my driver was prompt and arrived even 10 minutes earlier than the projected pickup time. I received two reminder texts messages. One the day before and one the same day with the ETA of the driver. The ride was a bit bumpy, but what do you expect...it's NYC people. I got to Newark with plenty of time. After perusing the horrible reviews on yelp, it seems like the service is really lacking when you take it FROM the airport to your destination. If you're in that situation, it's probably best to take a taxi, uber or public transport. However, if you're going TO the airport, super shuttle is the way to go. read more

The third time I've used Super Shuttle in as many weeks, they took over an hour and a half to come to the airport. When I arrived at Newark airport around 10:30PM they said it would be a 25 minute wait, which I thought was odd, but complied. 25 minutes went by and no shuttle came. I saw no Super Shuttle employee, no shuttle and no announcement was made so I called again. The operator stated that they came into the terminal to pick me up but that I was "not ready." This was of course a preposterous notion as I had been waiting in the lobby the entire time. They said they would send another shuttle in 20 minutes. This did not come either. I called again an they said it would be 30 minutes more. It finally came but made several lengthy stops and even came back to the same terminal I had been at before departing the airport. I did not get home to Manhattan until 2AM. Super Shuttle refuses to refund any part of my trip. read more

Your business model serves your company's pocketbook, NOT your customers. Making van drivers work as franchisees results in poor driver behavior and terrible customer service. I used SuperShuttle to leave LaGuardia. Pick up time (after I used the online check-in system) was supposed to be 7p. The van didn't come until 8p. And then, I didn't get dropped off until 9:30p. I understand that a ride share would add extra time, but these things that happened DID NOT WORK: 1) My driver tried to pick up additional customers - at the direction of his dispatcher - even after the van had no more space for luggage. 2) Other passengers had been picked up and circling around the airport for over an hour already. 3) And the van tracker showed the assigned van was in the same location, 10 minutes outside the airport, for over an hour. Customers are at the whim of van operators who delay driving passengers to their destination until the van is packed full. Good luck retaining your customers in the face of unpredictable, unsteady service. Especially with other transportation options available, I won't be waiting around for your company to figure it out. At least there is a definitely time limit when you're getting dropped off AT the airport by SuperShuttle. But riders beware, should you be looking to user SuperShuttle to LEAVE the airport. read more

I still love Super Shuttle. I've used it numerous times since my first review to go TO the airport. My ONE experience going FROM the airport was awful. One experience was enough to leave it at that-- one experience. Never again. However, especially if you live uptown close to GWB and are going to Newark, it is almost certain you'll be the last stop and, therefore, basically pay $26 or whatever to get to Newark in under 30 minutes. Plus, they have a great iPhone app and you can check where the van is so you don't stress about getting there one time. Hooray! read more

First off, there is no logic behind their pick up times. I am 30 minutes into the ride and we are picking up other passengers, and we have driven past my apt twice, and will do so a third time before heading out the city (I live near the holland tunnel- logically the people that live closer to the "exit" of the city should get picked up last instead of being dragged to midtown, no?) So, I'm waiting outside and the driver shows up late, (I know it's 6am, but a smile or a "hello" wouldn't kill you haaamie) I ask him if I can sit in the front, and he says "sure, if you want to sit on pee" and proceeded to tell me that someone "couldn't hold it"...um, wtf. That should sum up the general interior condition of the van. Oh and last time I was picked up from Newark to NYC, I pre-planned and made a reservation, paid $25, and once at the airport the driver was picking up last min rides for $16, i complained, called supershuttle, they apologized said someone would call me, and that never happened. I've tried to be empathic towards today's driver, and tried to envision his life and how stressful it must be to pick up random people all day long and deal with NYC traffic, but I realize it's not the drivers fault, it's the company- the lack of organization. This is the worst car service I have ever had! I will NEVER use this service again. If I didn't cancel the reservation and take a taxi instead. I would have missed my flight. The van was more than 30 minutes late and they didn't even bother to call and send a text to update me. When I called the customer services and asked about the status, my answer was to wait for another 30 minutes (with no apologies!!). The customer reps are poorly trained with horrible attitude. They put you back on hold (intentionally) when they don't want to deal with you and because the system reroutes you to a new rep if they don't pick the phone call back up in 5 minutes later (stupidest customer care policy i've ever heard). After I talked to the third rep, i just had it. Canceling my res was only the positive thing in my trip. It will take a 3-5 days to get 20 bucks back. Supper Shuttle, you have a way to run people's day. Be aware of this company! read more

Never, ever again. So unprofessional. 45+ minutes late for an airport pickup. Untrackable driver. Unprofessional driver who had to pick up his GPS from his "partner" halfway through trip to airport. I wouldn't recommend taking this service. They do not provide the driver's phone number, so it is impossible to get in touch with them. Angelina in customer service was very short with my sister when she called to ask why the driver was late. If you take this service, it is important to account for the driver being 45 min late. read more

1. Checked in online, once baggage collected. 2. Driver never showed (I waited close to 1-HR. 3. Called customer service and was put on hold for 35 minutes. Then the call was dropped. No call back. 4. After the no show and no update as to the location of my van, I had to take semi-costly taxi to my hotel. 5. Called customer service for the 3rd time. Agent was very rude and tried to cut me off when I explained my frustration. Never apologized for the poor service or the fact that I sat at an airport for an hour. 6. I asked for refund and he reluctantly sent cancellation. He did not any note he would refund. Then hung up on me abruptly. 7. This is the 2nd time, Supershuttle was a no show. Their quality of service has dropped exponentially and I'm sorry to say that after using this service since 1999, I will no longer be a customer. read more

No issues getting to the airport. Booked online 2 days in advance. Cost $35 for 2 people. When booking, the site listed various options for pickup times. The options ranged from 12pm to 1:15pm for a flight leaving from Newark at 4:30pm. I went with the 12:30-12:45 option. The van arrived at 12:37pm. The driver was friendly. He confirmed the destination and loaded the luggage in the back. When we got in the van there were already 6 people waiting in the van from 3 different pickups. The driver made 2 additional pickups which took 20 minutes. We arrived at the terminal at 1:41pm with plenty of time to spare. Overall the experience was good and was far less expensive than taking a taxi and even less expensive than taking the train. My only complaint is that the drive was a bit rough. In part from the drivers aggressive driving and in part from outside factors such as bad roads and other drivers. read more

I chose SuperShuttle because of the cost and convenience. I've also used it in Miami and service was great. Today feels like worst mistake and I will never choose or recommend this company again. A bag was left on the shuttle. All day I received the run-around. I've been hung up on, lied to, left on hold for over 10 mins and scammed. One minute he can return it to me. The next minute he can't. I waited all day at home for my bag "to be returned", words from a manager. The manager said the driver had my phone number and would call me when out front. Next phone call to SuperShuttle and I come to find out the driver did not want to return it to me because it was inconvenient and out of his way. Then the story changed to he did come with the bag but never called. Why didn't he call me if he had my number and was here to drop my bag off? How am I at fault when I never received a call, let alone 3 missed calls the driver claims he made to me. I was then miraculously offered to pay a fee for my bag to be dropped off after waiting 6 hrs and being promised it would be dropped off by 7pm. It's been a nightmare of a day. A side note, this driver, should not be in the service industry. Another side note, one of the several times I called, I spoke with a woman regarding my bag and she told me "she had to no time to talk to me and had to take the next call." She hung up on me. When I called back she gave the call to comelne else. What kind of customer service is that? Please listen to every call I made on confirmation #6202471. It's all evidence of horror I encountered. I chose supershuttle because I thought they were reliable like in Miami. It's nearly 7pm and I STILL have no bag. IVE BEEN WAITING SINCE 1130am. I have no clothes. Yes I'm upset. I'm not upset because of the bag situation. Im upset because the driver doesn't want to bring bag back back and no one at SuperShuttle seems to care. I'll update my review if I ever receive my bag. I did receive my bag, thankfully around 1130pm. Hence why I changed my review from a 1 star to a 3 star. Once the driver agreed to share his cell, we communicated and the story we were both told by the SuperShuttle employees was different. He was able to tell me his eta throughout the evening and stood at my Airbnb waiting all day fearing he would come and I wouldn't be there to get my bag. I honestly think these drivers mean well but come across a certain way because they are overworked and driving in NYC/Newark traffic is crazy... being from the big city of Chicago, I get it. I understand the rushing and need to keep it moving. I'm thankful to the driver who's name was Max for eventually finding his way to me as I had no clothes or anything had I lost the bag altogether. His manager, I cannot remember his name but he was one of the last employees I spoke to. He called me with info at 8pm as promised. He was very nice. Calming at a time of chaos and after I had been treated so poorly by the others. He too, was a lifesaver in this situation. read more

Wow, wish I had read the reviews first. Took a Super Shuttle van to LGA - no problems. Although picked me up waaay to early for my flight but whatever, it is cheap. The problem was on the return. As others have said the desk isn't labelled at all. I make a reservation with the girl at the desk and she tells me 1/2 hour wait. I was thinking I could be home in a cab in the time it took to wait (should have gone with that feeling) but decided since it was cheap and I wasn't travelling with my dog I would wait it out. 45 minutes later, I'm called to the desk to be told that my van wasn't there. I stand there for 10 minutes then ask - really, how much longer because it has now been an hour. A couple of minutes later my driver shows up and I get the duty of putting my own luggage in the van - hey thanks! Then I climb in the van, that has other riders in it to wait another 10 minutes while the driver is approaching people at the airport to offer rides. ISN'T THAT ILLEGAL????? I ask the driver how much longer we are going to wait (not rude, not cursing) and his response was "the taxis are over there" Yes, they are and I will be in one forever forward. PS - Super Shuttle: I'm responsible for approving the travel plans of our company - we move 100 people 2-3 times a year. We will never employ your services regardless of how cheap. read more

Our trip to JFK with Super Shuttle went as planned, however I would not recommend EVER taking Super Shuttle from JFK. After our 12 hour flight, we immediately checked in for our ride and then proceeded to wait an hour until actually leaving JFK. Tried calling customer service for an accurate ETA, and waited an additional 10 minutes on hold. To make matters worse, the NYC marathon was going on the same day as our pick up from JFK. We ended up getting dropped off about 20 blocks from our apartment and had to take a packed subway with all of our luggage. The company should have had some advance plan to avoid the NYC marathon closures and the burden shouldn't have been put on the customer. My advice is to avoid Super Shuttle and take another service from the airport to avoid a stressful homecoming from your vacation. read more

Not so super shuttle. Not at all super. A misnomer, actually. I used SS on a recent trip to and from home on semester break. I'm a student so I thought I'd save a few bucks. The guy that picked me up on the way to the airport was surly, unhelpful, and drove like a maniac. Did I mention that the super shuttle has NO HEAD RESTS on the passenger seats, so if this psycho gets into a wreck, guess what...the best thing you can hope for is to be paralyzed from the neck down, because your neck is going to snap clean off. I might not have worried so much if this guy didn't drive the van like we had been shot out of a big blue cannon. Did I mention that if you live way uptown, like way way uptown, you should NEVER consider using this service--they will pick you up first, and then you will have 6 or so stops, waiting for 20+ minutes in the van while the driver calls the next pick up, and when they don't answer, pulls up and rings the bell for another 15 minutes...not every passenger is so "super" on super shuttle. On my way back from JFK, I decided to give it another try. Why did I do this? My plane landed at 9:15 am, I had my bags by 10 am...and at NOON this dude comes to pick me up. As other reviews have said, when the super shuttle shows up they take a few people at a time, who all seem to be going where I'm not. TWO HOURS it took for the guy to show up and of course, I'm always the last stop so it ended up being a total of 3+hours. Never again. So I saved $50 or 60 bucks...But I spent several hours of my life sitting and waiting and that's worth much more to me. NEVER again. read more
