Whatever you do, please don't take the SuperShuttle from LaGuardia! Had to wait over 45 minutes in the evening before our van arrived! Then, we got stuck going all the way to the Bronx before finally being dropped off at our hotel in Midtown East! The driver was friendly enough, but this long wait & drive into our hotel was completely unacceptable. I later found out that a cab ride would only have been about $5-10 more expensive...So, basically, saving money is not all that it's cracked up to be! Terrible. I booked a ride in advance for 3:30 PM. I showed up at the Ground Transportation spot at 3:20 PM and was given a ticket by the guy in the red jacket. I watched other people show up and buy service on another shuttle without a reservation. They'd wait a few minutes and the other shuttle service showed up and they left. 45 minutes later I called Supershuttle to see what was going on. The woman there was clueless and keep on trying to blame me "Did you check in? Did you wait where you were told to wait? Why don't you ask the Ground Transportation people, they're supposed to be in contact with the drivers." After 10 minutes on the phone she finally came back and said the driver was 10 minutes away. Horrific to say the least. First driver showed up over an hour and half late, I had already called canceled and was at the airport before he showed and marked me as a no show. Pickup from the airport on my return was no better. Flight landed at 8:05 waited until 9:30 for shuttle to arrive and that was after it was randomly cancelled twice...while I was sitting watching the van move on the app. Driver was crazy rude and put out by the NYC traffic. She wanted to drop in the "area" of our locations and we could walk. She also spent the entire ride on the phone talking to family members. I contacted SuperShuttle multiple times and no response. Driver expected us to be ready at 3:45 and was only willing to wait until 4:00 even though our reservation window was between 4:00-4:15. Additionally, he stopped to get gas during the trip. Terrible service. Scheduled a shuttle from LaGuardia airport to Manhattan. I followed the check in directions exactly and was told that my 4 pm pickup would be an hour late. They had not even started driving from manhattan yet. Well that hour turned into almost 2 hours with 4 changes of van numbers. Called the customer service help number and they offered to cancel my reservation and then gave me a recorded line when I asked to make a formal complaint. I canceled the return trip and my hotel arranged a cab. cab cost $50. Shuttle was $40. I advise you to call your hotel and get assistance with ground travel. Only bright spot was the driver was kind enough to drop us off first instead of one of the other 3 groups on the shuttle. Update: never received any sort of customer service follow up. Company did nothing. Don't use these guys. The company replied that they reached out to me is ridiculous. They needed to reach out with a full refund. What happened to us was in an isolated accident it's how they do business. I wouldn't give a company a review like this if I didn't think that this is how they manipulated people on a regular basis. read more

The overall experience was positive. The pick up time should've been more accurate like when they are taking you to the airport; I like my ride to be there when it says it is especially during the winter. Shared rides are good when the driver & fellow passengers are polite. My driver of car 726 was knowledgeable of the roads & got me to my destination safely. I've had a similar experience as Mary G, except I live in the East Village! It's not that they're a no show, but that every trip home has been a disaster. At first we thought it was a fluke and we willing to try again. But the vans were impossible to find, the driver surly, the people on the phone unhelpful and resulted in taking over 3 hours to get home once our plane landed and we had our bags. With no traffic. It seems that when you finally FIND a van, if it's not full, they'll circle around the airport to hustle up more business, keeping you captive in an endless cycle of airport hell. This is the second and last time I will use their service. I made a reservation online and followed all the steps in checking in and waited and waited at the terminal. I saw drivers come and go. Sometimes picking up people that just made a reservation. Some drivers just walked around the terminal without asking if people were waiting for a ride. I called the number again and am still waiting for the driver. Super Shuttle will be around for a long time. I just won't be a patron of theirs. Kinda sucks to be the last person to leave the airport on your flight. read more

You'll see the same two-word phrase in this review that shows up in many others: never again. While it's largely the fault of the Super Shuttle service itself, it also can be blamed on its customers. First, the service. It's designed to be difficult. When we arrived at LGA, we followed directions to call SS from the phone at baggage claim. We were at Terminal C. Easy enough? No. They use their own numbering system, not the airport's. Does SS display a guide to that system where the phone is located? No. So you have to consult a red-jacket, who may or may not have the answer. Can you ask the driver of an SS van out on the curb? If he speaks English, he might know. Then you confront the reality that delivering 10 passengers to Manhattan from Queens will take as long as two hours, depending on your place in the driver's Mr. Toad's Wild Ride route. And coming from the airport is the good part. For the trip back to the airport, your pickup will be scheduled as much as four hours before your flight. Annoying, but there are reasons. Like passengers who take the pickup time as a suggestion and leave the van and its occupants sitting at the curb for 20 minutes while they finish moussing their hair. Or bringing a van 60 blocks uptown, then declaring they've decided to ride to the airport with friends. Or engaging in an hour- long argument about whether or not they've pre-paid. We probably saved $15 on our round trip compared to a likely $80 in cab fare. Never again. read more

The driver was late for half and hour, and on top of that, left behind two passengers at a terminal, which we had to loop around back to the terminal where they were left off again. All together, about 45-50 minutes of everyone's time was wasted. When my number was called, the driver was also casually chatting with the operator at the desk as if he had no other passengers to pick up. So much time was wasted on inefficiency, and carelessness in handling issues that can be avoided if only more attention was paid to the customers and the respect of time management. If you're on your way to JFK or Newark, this is the best way to get to there. If you're two people, the price ($30 includes tolls plus tip) is a deal to JFK (the price goes up per person so if you're more than two, a taxi is better). If you're three, it's still a deal ($30 includes tolls plus tip) for Newark. If you're going to La Guardia, it's $15 for one and $11 for each extra person. I take the M60 to La Guardia. You will share the van with other passengers, but usually you won't have to leave your house any earlier than if you were going to take a taxi, unless you're going to travel during rush hour. I don't recommend taking the Shuttle back from the airport unless you're coming out of Newark. The time it takes to get to your destination can seem like forever. read more

Gawd I should have checked Yelp before electing to make a reservation w/ Super Shuttle to get from JFK into Manhattan. Gripe #1 When using the dedicated phones to call Super Shuttle after landing (after a red-eye), they didn't pickup. Tried again. And again. My last desperation attempt 14 minutes after first attempt worked. WTF. Gripe #2 Incredibly tardy & terrible customer service when calling in via the dedicated phone lines. They said the shuttle would arrive in 10-15 minutes. 30 minutes later, called in again and they said 3-5 minutes. They finally arrived 20 minutes later. With no apology. Gripe #3 I understand the business model and the concept of sharing the shuttle. But dude packed 10 of us like sardines. Ouch. Gripe #4: Back seat of shuttle has like 6 inches of leg space. Your knees are pressed up against the back of seat in front of you. Not comfortable to say the least. Not the best experience, to say the least, after an LA to NYC red-eye. read more

Terrible service for JFK to Manhattan. On the way there I called when I got there and they said 20-25 mins. Then when I called again they said again 10 mins, then I called again they said another 5mins and another 5 mins. Finally at 10AM 2.5 hours after my flight landed and I had been waiting. I called and they said they missed me???? WTF???? Then on my way back they picked me up, everything was fine, but they squished too many people in and I felt so bad because the rest of the folks were international travelers so I squished myself so the lady sitting on the edge could actually sit. Advice to those traveling, don't bother using the shuttle it's a joke. Great business idea would be a taxi share that would group people and enable them to get up to 2 - 3 people per taxi so you don't get squished and you pay 1/2 of the $45+tip to get to your hotel in comfort. read more

I used them to go from JFK airport to the Marriott Marquis. I made the reservation the day before and was impressed by the ease and seemingly easy directions. After landing I just had to follow the signs to baggage claim and locate the welcome center. I arrived at the welcome desk and Victoria assisted me. I gave her my confirmation number and she asked me for the exact address of the New York Marriott Marquis. When I told her that I don't have it but can look it up she asked me "how can you not know the address of where you are staying?" I told her that it is the New York Marriott Marquis and the address is on the reservation. I showed her where I was sent a link to click to check myself in but that I was not sure of what that may entail. I asked her if she wanted me to click on the link to check myself in and she said that it will not show the address and that I need a printed ticket. Victoria told me that there are several New York Marriott Marquis in NYC. That is not a fact and I was beginning to feel harassed but I got over myself because I'm NYC for a fun weekend. I looked down at her computer screen and noticed that she did not know how to spell Marriott. Instead of facing her inability to do her job she was trying to make me feel inadequate. That was not a difficult task because this is my first time using this shuttle service and I obviously did not know where to go besides her welcome desk. I recommend she be given a spelling "cheat sheet" of the major hotels. I waited a reasonable time for the driver to arrive (maybe 30 minutes) and he was was polite. He made eye contact and asked to carry my bag. He was also a safe driver. I also want to add that I received 7 text messages from this service while I was waiting. The messages were giving me my driver number and my customer number. I was referred to by two different customer numbers and given three different driver numbers. This was confusing but I think if you have an informative and pleasant welcome desk employee this is a good service. read more

If I could I would give 0 stars. I booked my trip from JFK to Times Square in advance and included a tip (that was a mistake). It basically took me three hours to get to the hotel. The shuttle had 7 stops in all. I was stop #6 and he dropped me off on a road and told me the hotel was around the corner. I really feel that since he had a guaranteed tip he didn't care what kind of service was provided. Do not take a shuttle from this company. Not worth waiting for at Newark airport. A share ride from Newark airport in lyft or uber cost around $40, while SupperShutttle charges $23. However, No one wants to come off a 3 hours flight and wait 2 hours for a van pickup plus 1-2 hours more to pickup and drop off other passengers. I booked my ride for 9:20 PM and checked in via the app at 9:15. While the app showed me the assigned van and driver there was no movement for 55 minutes. After 1 hour of waiting outside the terminal, driver shows up with 4 other passengers already in the van but he said that he meeds to pickup 4 more passengers at other terminals. This would make my trip to Manhattan almost 3 hours. Time is money and saving lousy $20 on a ride is really not worth this torcher. read more

I chose the latest pick-up time (5:00-5:15 AM) and received a call from SuperShuttle that they were arriving a HALF HOUR early. During the Holiday Season, SuperShuttle really knows how to screw people over. Here's what's gone down during my experience with them: 1. One May weekday, the driver yelled at me for having a really big suitcase. Then during that same trip he picked up WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE in our little shuttle! The suitcases were piled to the top of the car and I think this usually 8-person seat shuttle held 13. 2. During Thanksgiving time, I was waiting outside my building fifteen minutes ahead of time. Just waiting. Thirty minutes later, I sensed something was fishy. I called the dispatcher who said that they could NOT locate where my shuttle was. I had to go rush to get a cab in order to not miss my flight. Compensation? They told me to get a cab receipt and I would've had to mail it in and wait for it to be processed. In all, I guess I've been stood up by SuperShuttle twice. That was one too many times for me to realize that maybe SuperShuttle and I just don't get along. They can be really awesome when it's the middle of April or something, when no one has anywhere to go. But, otherwise, it gets crowded and unreliable. read more

After 45 minutes of waiting at LaGuardia airport, after landing at 11:30 PM, I was told by the dispatcher that I would have to wait up to an "additional hour". That's when I just bagged it and called a private car service, which picked me up instantly (for twice the price). I called for a refund, which they said would take "5-10" business days, but assured me that my next-day ride TO the airport from Manhattan would be more reliable and pick up within 20 minutes of the scheduled time. The reason given for the two hour middle of the night delay? The phone rep said: "Pickups at the airport are based on supply and demand." What is the point of a reservation then? If anything, ONLY use for trips TO the airport, and if doing a roundtrip, be prepared to WAIT at any time, for any length, day or night, at some airport curb, until "supply and demand" decides you may now be given a ride. read more

I tried SuperShuttle after having numerous bad experiences with AirLink. I don't know what it is about these airport shuttles, but they just suck! Like some of the other reviewers have said, taking the shuttle TO the airport is not a bad deal. You usually have to leave much earlier than you would like, but whatever. I live in Gramercy and have always been the last stop. SuperShuttle gets points over AirLink for giving you a 2-minute call before they are at your door. Now, taking it home from the airport was just plain tortuous. I waited a full 30 minutes for the shuttle to arrive, despite being told it would be 20 minutes or less. And then, once the driver arrived, I had to watch him fill out paperwork for a good 10 minutes before we could leave the terminal. Despite the fact that we didn't pick up anyone else on the way out of the airport, we stopped at 2 different terminals while the driver drove painfully, painfully slow. Once out of the airport, the driver decided to take a bizarrely inefficient route, which included a tour of Brooklyn and a trip across the very congested Brooklyn Bridge. Once in Manhattan, he drove at literally 20 mph (such a departure from the normally maniacal drivers but equally as frustrating) to drop off the first passenger at a hotel right by the Staten Island Ferry. I know everyone needs to get home, but choosing the farthest tip of Manhattan to make your first stop and then backtracking all the way back up through Manhattan (at 20 mph) seems pretty dumb. Despite the fact that there were only 3 of us in the van (mind you, it can fit 11), I still didn't get home until 11:20pm after calling for my van at 9:55pm. Awful. read more

This was our first time and New York. We landed in LA Guardia and headed to get shuttled to our Hotel for a decent price of 34.00 for me and my wife. Wait time was supposed to be 20 min. So we waited....and waited....and waited. An hour later they tell us our shuttle is here only to be told by the driver there is no room. So we wait some more. We finally got a shuttle about 20 min later. I understand drivers might get stuck elsewhere but try to meet the estimated time you give us. We waited about an hour and a half overall just to get shuttled. Regardless though I do have to say that the people working for the super shuttle are great. Very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Our driver was something else. I know NY traffic is crazy and he was able to get in and out with ease. I was impressed. In the end if you need to get to your hotel and don't want to pay the taxi then the super shuttle is another great way to get there. They load your baggage and drop you off in front of your hotel or home. (Other people got shuttled quicker than us so we might have just had a bad experience.) read more

Disgusting. Avoid at all costs. Literally you should walk to your destination in the snow before deciding to book with super shuttle out of JFK. Was communicated to me that I would be waiting 15/20 min for the shuttle and that it might be more at peak times. My reservation was off peak and it took the driver 75 min to get through two terminals! Mine was the last terminal. Dispatch promised me a refund and free ride if they didn't show up in 10 min. 4 min later when I checked the map for their status, my ride was "complete" and I could no longer see the shuttle. I called back, sorry that was a mistake. 15 min later still nothing. Got an email saying my ride was cancelled. Zero mention of this free ride, zero effort to compensate for the wasted time, zero customer service at all. AVOID. read more

Extremely bad timing and coordination, very frustrating. Picked me up 1 hour early from my home to go to the airport and warned me 5 minutes before they were coming 1 hour earlier than scheduled. Who does this? I pre-scheduled a picked at the airport and had to wait over an 1.5 hours, my flight came in at 12:30, I didn't get home until after 5pm. It said my pickup time would be 1:30, and I scheduled far in advance. Not worth the money I paid at all. I find the price to be very expensive if you have to coordinate with their schedule, which is whenever they can either pick you up or drop you off. I have used and recommended Super Shuttle many times over the years. At first, the system worked great, but now it's totally unorganized and just overall bad service. For a pick-up scheduled at 10:30am, they ended up showing up at 11:25am!! I called them 3 times, and each time, they told me: the driver's 15 min late, or he just 5 min. away, and every time, 15min. became 25min and 5 min. became 15min, and so on... Then I asked to speak to a manager, and complained to him, but he couldn't care less. He barely apologized and when I said I wouldn't use the shuttle or recommend them anymore, all he had to say was: NO PROBLEM. What kind of answer is that???? Bottom line: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you don't want to miss your flight!!! They're inexpensive but if you end up missing your flight because of their tardiness, then it'll cost you a lot more, but of course, SupperShuttle doesn't care cause they don't take responsibility if you miss your flight. So I have to agree with someone else who was saying that when it works, SuperShuttle is a fairly good and inexpensive service. I take SuperShuttle both directions between Manhattan and EWR. The negative reviews are surprising to me, but I expect hotel location is a big factor. Staying at WTC (Downtown) usually makes me the first drop-off on the way in from EWR and the last pickup on the way out... my SuperShuttle journeys are always short. Aside from that, their website is great. I can easily process bookings and track the inbound vehicle on my iPad. That means I can enjoy my coffee from the comfort of the lobby, rather than waiting at the curb. Actually, there is a negative!!! Other passengers aren't always considerate. I've waited outside other hotels while passengers finish getting ready to leave their hotel. Staying downtown, I'll take SuperShuttle everytime. For Midtown think about the AirTrain. read more

If i could rate this company zero I would... Better off walking,crawling or hitchiking...than using this shuttle (non)service,i use the word service loosely.. Driver turned up at hotel and refused to take my bike even though we had booked and paid for it and i have carried it all over america without an issue.. He then told me the only way to get on the bus was to leave my bike in hotel..yer right!! I showed him that the bike would fit easily but he disagreed he rang supervisor we rang supervisor and it become a yelling match and at 1 point he actually shaped upto me...thinging i was gunna get knocked to the ground the concierge of the hotel stepped in and told me just to catch a cab,i insisted that i had paid for the service but the responce was the driver wanted me to pay an additionl $85(cash by the way) for the bike because he would not be able to fit in 5 other ppl,he said if i didnt want to pay it then to get lost.. He told me the only way to fit the bike was to lay the cardboard bikebox down flat so he could pack all other suitcases on top...think he must have been smoking something... Tossed the bike out, told me to take it up with his supervisor cause i was making him run late... He continued yelling and swearing at me got back into his vehicle and drove off... We have since contacted their customer service and they agreed the money needs to be returned to me...do you think i have it yet...6 weeks after still no sign of it!!! I write this as I am still in the Super shutle...after 2.5 hours. Check in before you get your luggage as you will need to wait 20-35 min after check in tp be picked up. Dont think that means you are on your way...after being picked up and seeing the van stop at each terminal i was still going in circles for an hour until the driver picked up enough people. I live in times square and he's dropping off ppl in the LES and all over Manhattan. What a waste of my precious sleep time. Next time ill take the express bus for $16 and a taxi from the bus station. It will be much quicker and the same price if not cheaper. I took super shuttle thinking itd be a lil faster than the train at 10pm. What a joke. Maybe after 3 hours I'll be at my door.
