I was picked up promptly and had only one other passenger pick up. We scheduled for a 3:45 pick up in New York City. This company was more than one hour late, so we canceled our pick up. Trying to get a refund for service is very difficult at best. Terrible experience! For my departure they canceled on me an hour before they were supposed to pick me up even though I booked weeks in advance. Then on my return flight - I arrived at JFK at 6:07am. I checked in for my SuperShuttle at 6:45 and didn't get dropped off at my place until 9:32!!! If I had known I would have paid for Uber/lyft - they weren't that much more expensive. My driver was extremely rude too. When I asked why we were dropping people off out of order (the app gives a drop off order) he told me the app doesn't matter he chooses the stops and I should get out of the car if I like (no where near my apartment bc he had driven clear across town out of order) - just for asking! I have one more trip already booked with SuperShuttle, but after that I WILL NEVER use this service again - and honestly you shouldn't either. Especially not until they have better software to organize their ride share. read more

Here's the deal...This is an inexpensive way to get to and from your hotel & airport if you're in a pinch or want to save some money. You get what you pay for. My experience: I flew into JFK and needed to get to my hotel in Times Square. They make it relatively easy by having an app and allowing you to pay through that, setting your reservation time, pickup and destination, etc. Went through the app to make a reservation and after i receive my confirmation email, the destination is completely incorrect and set it to a hotel relatively near my real destination, but in NYC terms, not close at all. I called and told the dispatcher about the app miscue and she said "Talk to your driver and let him know, I'm sure he won't mind." Fair enough, I waited a little under an hour for them to arrive all the while looking at the tracker on the app (not accurate) for him to arrive. He shows up, I get in the shuttle and let him know about my real destination. Times Square Sheraton Hotel. He looked at me like I had 10 heads and said "uhhh, whatever, sure." with the worst possible attitude. Not my fault the app was incorrect. We get to the ride and as expected with any public transportation service in Manhattan, it's an absolute nightmare, traffic out the ying yang, weaving in and out of cars, taking exits and on ramps to get in and out of traffic on the beltway (which was actually quite genius.) About 2 hours later I arrive at my destination. Not a big deal, I wasn't in any rush. This is not your own personal chauffeur. It's not a cab, it's a ride share that gets you from point A to point B. If you're in a time crunch, don't use this service. If you have nowhere to be in any particular time and don't want to break the bank, use this service. I will not rely on Super Shuttle to go back to the airport from my hotel with a huge fear of missing my flight even with giving myself a reasonable amount of time to arrive at JFK. read more

This is the first time this happened to me with Super Shuttle, so this review is based on one experience. I will never use Super Shuttle again, because I MISSED MY FLIGHT!!! I missed my flight due to a driver who was hopelessly lost and couldn't find me. I prepaid, online, clearly put the address in the reservation, it's a senior residence, they gave me the time of pickup between 4:40 AM and 4:50 AM. I watched on the app as the icon drove right by. Finally at 5:01, I got a call, asking where I was located, and I basically spent the next 45 minutes (on and off) giving HIM directions (why was there no GPS in the van?), and finally I yelled that I was going to miss my flight and I was going to call Uber, I ended up missing my flight, and was still charged by Super Shuttle. I have a complaint pending, but I see that charge on my debit card and am still fuming (this happened 2 days ago), hence this heated review. Again, I MISSED MY FLIGHT! (And ended up paying $40 for a cab.....while Super Shuttle still charged me $31.86.) Very angry. This is unacceptable. read more

This was a terrible experience, After I got picked up at 4:30 am we made another stop, I waited 30 minutes in a cold van (no heat) for the couple to come down and get into the van. What happened to the 15 minute gap? Then on my way home I again booked on line in advance. After getting my luggage I proceeded to the desk at 6:30 pm and they called to "confirm" my reservation. I thought that was the whole point of booking on line in Advance? They said I had to wait an HOUR for my shuttle to come. When the van finally arrived, I took the last available seat. When we got to the city we made several stops, east side, times square, ground zero and then finally my stop- the upper west side. i was the last one to get dropped off. I didn't get home until 9:00 pm from a flight that landed at 6:00 pm. I called customer service to complain, they offered me a free voucher, WHY would I want to go through them again? read more

Worst trip ever from JFK to Manhattan. I will never use this company again. Here's why: - they give a 25 minute window for pick up. The van took double that to pick me up -all the passengers were angry in the van because of their service which caused them to be swearing and created a stressful situation -driver was rude, did not help with luggage -frequent sudden stops - unsafe driving -inefficient drop off route in manhattan -van smelt bad, and had no heat I ended up getting off at the second stop and paying for a cab home because I could not handle to trip any longer. read more

My wife and I booked Super Shuttle from JFK to Manhattan and back. After making the reservations through an online package deal, we became so concerned about the negative reviews that we were tempted to give up our non-refundable payment and use another mode of transportation. For us, though, we could not have asked for better service. Our drivers were courteous and professional. Our arrival van arrived within 20-30 minutes of our request for pickup at JFK, and our return van picked us up well within the time we requested. I received a text letting me know the location of the van as it came near the hotel. On the way to JFK, our driver had to make a few stops to pick up people. All but one were waiting for him outside their hotels. The one, however, caused the driver to wait a few extra minutes, but we still made it to the airport right at the agreed-upon time. So, to be fair to Super Shuttle and your fellow passengers, be ready to board when they show up. read more

Its my second to use supershuttle. the price is pretty reasonable and the driver was helpful. (compare with taxi driver.) My first time was taking super shuttle from JFK to downtown. That time was a little bad because the van was broken on the way to downtown. All the passengers had to walk back to hotel. Luckily, my hotel was only 2 blocks away from the drop-off point. Well, at least the driver return us some money so that I feel not too bad service. This time the driver was a little late, but he has called to inform us earlier. Overall, the service was good. Super Shuttle LGA Told at ck in w ground transportation wait time to be 20-25 min. Waited 55 min before giving up & entering taxi queue. Another 10 in queue and Supr Shuttle had still not arrived. How can u operate a "service" this way? One cannot expect to wait over to BEGIN a 20 min ride even w a shared ride experience this is unacceptable. Why does Port Authority not address this problem? We ordered the shuttle way ahead of time and we had to wait for over an HOUR after our flight arrived for the van. The driver was great, he weaved in and out of traffic to try to get us to our destination quickly. We left Newark at 5:30, so naturally we hit rush hour traffic. There were 6 adults in my group, traveling to JFK at 4:45am on Aug. 10th. I didn't want to ask any family members to drive us at that unGodly hour, so I began to price around. Because we all had at least 1 piece of large luggage, we couldn't just call a cab, it had to be a van, which as it turns out is pretty pricey. I called Super Shuttle as a last resort and am SO glad i did!! They were much less expensive. They were prompt, the vehicle was clean and new, the driver couldn't have been nicer. This is the first time I used their service and it was relatively good. The client support on the phone was good, the driver came on time, however he didn't follow my simple instructions for pickup (being on the crossing street and not on the main avenue), even though they did appear on the reservation. His answer to me was that he doesn't read the comments - so I ask myself why did they even bother to ask me for special instructions on the phone? read more

They made me wait an hour at midnight for a ride I had reserved in advance. Not the first issue I've had with them. Last time I used them and had a problem (needed to use alternate transportation to make my flight since they were very late) I spent weeks and weeks trying to track down customer service to resolve the issue. Do not use Super Shuttle! We scheduled an executive car to take us from JFK to our hotel near time square and it took almost an hour for them to show up. A few days later we scheduled an executive car for a 12:01PM pick up from our hotel to take us to the Brooklyn pier 12 and after waiting outside our hotel for over an hour they finally showed up. I am furious with this company. I booked a shared ride to be picked up at JFK airport. I received confirmation from Super Shuttle for my ride. My flight landed, and I retrieved my luggage then checked in for my ride. I received a call at 12:11am from someone from Super Shuttle stating "we cannot pick you up to take you to your destination because there are no drivers available because of the weather." There was absolutely no rain, sleet, snow, fog, or any other unsafe weather happening at the airport or near my final destination. I was STRANDED at JFK airport for hours since I RELIED on your services to take me home from my flight. It was the middle of the night, I was alone, and had no other way of getting home. If your company's drivers KNEW there was "bad weather" in NY, why wasn't my ride cancelled sooner? I did not know I would be stranded at the airport until AFTER my flight landed. We booked a shuttle for my minor daughter travelling alone from JFK to Manhattan. Her reservation was confirmed for a pickup for her flight arriving at 5:15am. Her flight was on-time and she did not check any luggage so she checked in via the app AND checked in with a Supershuttle agent at the airport by 5:45am. The agent said she was all set. On the app, we could see that the van was at the airport. But for some reason, the van never moved and she waited for OVER AN HOUR before getting picked up! That's ridiculous for a pick up at a major airport like JFK. Unfortunately I was on the west coast and it was after 3am, so I went to sleep assuming that the shuttle would pick her up soon since the van was very close according to the app. Yes, my daughter should have called or spoken to the agent or contacted the driver via the app, but it was her first time using Supershuttle and she is a minor and didn't know to do that. This morning, I then tried to talk call customer service to find out what happened and the CSR told me there's nothing they can do and I have to submit a complaint on their website and someone will respond within 5 business days. I cannot talk to anyone on the phone about it. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and the CSR hung up on me instead! I guess that's how they handle any issues hanging up on you. read more

It was an extremely poor experience. The process is unclear and there are absolutely no signs to direct you towards the super shuttle (or in this case welcome center) upon our arrival. We asked several employees of the airport and only 2 had vague descriptions of where it might be. Customer service was unclear and had to call several supervisors for clarification. Super shuttles at Laguardia will not be seeing my service anytime soon. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! My flight was delayed and came in at 1am to Newark and I had arranged weeks ago for supershuttle to Manhattan. They called me as my plane landed and stated they had no shuttles and I would need to wait TILL 3AM alone at the airport. I took a cab $95 later not happy. An hour before the pick up on the way from Manhattan to Newark at 2pm, they called and said they had no drivers, no shuttles. I had another cab take me to Newark for another $95. HOW DO THEY OPERATE A MAJOR HUB LIKE NEW YORK AND NEWARK LIKE THIS??? I did contact them minion on the phone would do nothing. I wrote a letter to complain..NOTHING. At LaGuardia - Would not recommend. I prebooked my transportation for a conference - big mistake. On arrival, I waited for 90 minutes at the airport before giving up. I contacted them twice to request a refund, both times I received an email response that "they would get back to me" - it never happened. For departure, I was picked up on time but then the driver circled and picked up other riders for 90 minutes prior to leaving NY for the airport. Never again. read more

Terrible experience with Super Shuttle on my last trip to New York. I booked a shuttle from my friend's apartment to JFK the day before and they said they'd come pick me up between 5:15-5:35am. Perfect, my flight was at 8am. At 5:40, I get nervous and call them. The dispatcher checks where my shuttle is and tells me they'll be here in a couple minutes. at 6:05, they finally arrive (30 minutes late). The driver comes out, grabs my bag, and throws it in the trunk without saying a word. I'm the third person they pick up, so we drive around and get 6 more people before leaving for the airport. By the time we're driving to the airport, it's already 6:40, so I'm getting nervous about making my flight. Once at the airport, I'm the last person to get dropped off at my terminal (JFK is huge, so it took about 20 minutes to get everyone to their terminals). I get dropped off at 7:20 and run to check in. Luckily, the airport was super empty that day, so I made the flight. But had it been a busier day, I definitely would have missed my flight. Next time, I'm taking a taxi. It costs a little more but they'll get me there on time. read more

I had an international flight from Newark Airport to Brazil and needed a lift since I was with 2 bags and had to go to the airport from Manhattan. It was very easy to schedule online and during the reservation, I made clear that I had an international flight and I had to be there on time. Turns out that I was waiting for them at the scheduled time and, since the traffic in NYC is horrible, they were kind of late, but I never thought there was a chance they wouldn't pick me up. After 30 minutes waiting, I started to get worried about it, but since I didn't had a phone to call them (I am from Brazil and was on vacations and had no local phone in NY) I decided to wait a bit more. After 50 minutes, I borrowed a phone from a very nice man who could help me and called Super Shuttle. Without any explanation, Super shuttle attendant informed me that they could not pick me up and that I would have to catch a taxi on my own. So, basically, I was late on rush hour in NYC trying to find a taxi that could take me as fast as possible to Newark Airport so I would miss my flight. Well, that was an awesome way to end my vacations time. Their service is a complete J-O-K-E! No not trust Super Shuttle! I highly recommed calling a friend or taking a taxi - SuperShuttle is not the way to go. Back to Brazil, I sent a complaint and know what they answered me after making me pay 70 bucks for a taxi (besides all the inconvenience and stress they caused me)? Well, that they would not charge me on my credit card for the service. Isn't Super Shuttle so nice not to charge me for a service they did not provide? And they said that pretty much like they were doing me a favor and giving me a gift. And the way they wanted to compensate me for their mistake was giving me a voucher! Let's just say that when traveling in the New York area you get what you pay for. Not to say that Super Shuttle is a bad thing, it's just that you need to keep in mind there is certainly a cost associated with the low rate. What does that equate to? Some of your precious time. Is it a little or a lot? It all depends on a whole lot of variables. You need to keep in mind that you are at the whim of some very overwhelming forces, most notably your fellow passengers and traffic. If all of this doesn't come together smoothly, then what could be a 40min cab ride turns into a 2hour tour of midtown Manhattan street by street hotel by hotel. Which can turn into a knuckle biting anxious experience if you cut it too close. Give yourself plenty of time and I'm talking about 4-5 hours to get out of NYC and through the airport and you SHOULD be fine. All in all, the service was great, my ride showed up on time. The driver was friendly and courteous, the van was clean and in excellent working condition. Aside from a few no shows, the usual Midtown hassles, and broken down car on the freeway. My experience was a good one. Just don't use this service if you are in a hurry, pressed for time, or don't like being packed in a van with 8 other anxious travelers. read more

Used them last week in Denver for a ride to and from downtown to the airport. They were on time. They drove professionally (only 10 mph over the posted limit). And they were very friendly, helpful and courteous. I especially liked getting updates by text message. And their app, showing the location of your ride as it approaches, is especially helpful. I just took Super Shuttle from mid-town to JFK. The pick up was 45 minutes late, and that was at 3:45. So rush hour was starting. I was supposed to get to the airport at 4:30. Between the time he picked me up and 4:45, he picked up two more people. The poor driver was arguing with dispatch, trying to get them to send out another van for the last two pickups, but they wouldn't. So we started out for the airport on a weekday, 15 minutes after I was supposed to arrive. The driver did his best, taking surface streets through Brooklyn, all the way to the airport, saving us an hour. However, I got to the airport 15 minutes before my flight was taking off, so I missed my flight and had to spend $200 for a hotel room. There were people in the van trying to make their flights to Europe! Absolutely worst airport experience ever. NEVER take Super Shuttle. I never will. read more

Was nervous about getting to LaGuardia for my 7:45 am flight but our driver was earlier than expected (SS texted when he arrived) and we were early to the airport. Drivers were courteous and helpful. Have been calling customer service for 40 minutes straight only to get "wait a moment, we are transferring lines".
