POOR Review!!! Planned round trip from Home to LGA; LGA to Home. First part was just fine. Friendly driver, timely, clean van, etc. Coming home was a nightmare. Despite having scheduled a pick up and providing airline info, there was no van when I arrived. They texted me as soon as I landed. They even asked at some point if I had deplaned. Setting an expectation that once I reached curbside or shortly thereafter for sure, there would be someone waiting for me. Did not happen. The purpose of booking round trip is to make certain that there will be no wait upon arrival. Otherwise, one can merely walk to the curbside and hail also affordable transportation. After waiting for nearly an hour, I demanded a refund and found other transportation home. It was midnight, I was tired, had to go to work the next day. So needless to say, I was deeply disappointed... I was refunded only half my reservation fee. I felt that since they did not complete the contract I should not have paid for any portion of the contract. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE Service!!! Given that SuperShuttle has been in the game longer than most others and since competition is so steep and readily available (Uber, Lyft, MTA and such), I was astonished... I have recently used service from Newark International. It was not a problem. PERHAPS the problem is LaGuardia. Airport staff conveyed that this in not an unusual complaint about SuperShuttle. We had booked the EXECUCAR from Newark airport to Manhattan for 128.00. The driver never showed up after our flight was delayed. We waited for an hour.. called, and they could not even give a time for the car to show up. This was 2 a.m and it was after a stressful flight. So we asked them to cancel and took LYFT for 70.00. Lyft showed up in five minutes. It is one week since.. I filed a complained.. multiple calls and holds .. and I still have not received a refund. Will never take supershuttle again. There is a reason LYFT and UBER are so popular. It is quick and you only pay when you receive service.. not before. Don't waste your money on this service. read more

If you want to take a bus that takes 4 hours to drop you off in New York City from Newark airport which is only 25-30 minutes away, by all means take the super shuttle. Not only did it take 4 hours, the attendants in the airport were completely unorganized and very gossipy with each other. Take public transit. Do not take this FROM the airport unless you have lots of time to stand around and wait. My van never came so I just took a cab which cost me 4 times as much. When I would call the dispatcher, they would say it was on its way every time, but it still never came. I will NEVER use Super Shuttle again. read more

My experience with super shuttle was a seemingly never ending experience just like some of the other yelpers. My flight gets into JFK about 40 minutes earlier than expected and by the time I got my bags it was about 5:30 AM so I think cool I can get the super shuttle a little earlier. WRONG! I find out the super shuttle doesn't actually start running until 6:00 AM. Finally at about 6:05 AM I see the super shuttle guy walking around as if he's really confused and disoriented trying to figure out who to pick up. He finally calls out my last name and I'm like cool that's my guy. He loads my suitcase and the two other passengers in the super shuttle and I think we're finally on our way. WRONG AGAIN! Without saying a word he goes back into the airport leaving us in the super shuttle wondering "what the f*&ck" for about 20 minutes. We finally leave that gate only to drive around the airport for about 40 minutes more to pick up even more passengers. He's driving so erratically the whole time I feel like I'm gonna vomit all over the place. While he's driving he's mumbling stuff under his breath and when anyone asks him a question he just mumbles or has a blank stare on his face. I'm thinking "what the hell kinda people are they hiring at super shuttle, this guy is a freak". After 9 AM I finally reach my destination on upper east side Manhattan since I'm almost the last person to be dropped off. At this point I'm hating super shuttle and questioning whether I want to take it to JFK when I leave. Since I'm super cheap I suck it up and decide to give super shuttle another chance. They actually ended up picking me up within the time frame I requested and this time I was the last person to be picked up so we went straight to the airport. I was the last person to be dropped off and this trip only took 40 minutes in comparison to the 3 hours it took to get to Manhattan. I guess you never know what your gonna get with super shuttle and how important it is to pay $18 for super shuttle vs. $40 for a cab. read more

ahhhh they really make me angry sometimes with their lack of communication between the upper ppl and the drivers. They also suck at directions, they sometimes literally go around the block ten times just trying to find a stupid apartment! OhHh anddddd sometimes they'd go to a place to pick up someone and NO ONE's THERE! Last friday, They picked up three people in the beginning, and wasted about an hour circling around picking up nobody! Normally I am usually very happy with the service I receive from Super Shuttle. I almost always use them to drive me TO the airport. My last trip I made the bad decision to use them to drive me home as well. Well, not only did I have to wait 30 minutes for the driver to pick us up, but he also made 5 more stops after that to pick up more passengers. I was the last to be dropped off 3 hours after I landed. I should have paid $45 to get back to Manhattan instead of trying to save $20 by using Super Shuttle. It was uncomfortable and after a 6 hour flight, the last thing you want to do. read more

A horrible experience. My wife and I flew to new York , September of of 2010. It was our 1st trip to the big apple. we made prior arrangement to catch Super Shuttle, and they showed up as promised. The problem was that we gave the driver the address to the Hilton Time Square. and He totally dropped us off on the wrong street, then lied to us. He swore the entrance was around the corner, but do to the heavy traffic he couldn't get to it. we believed him and even tipped him well. We ended up walking 4 blocks. And i mean 4 NEW YORK blocks. Horrible. I used to love this service but I will never use it again. On my way home from Hawaii I decided to reserve a seat because no one could pick me up, I put in my number of bags booked it and went about my business. Upon arrival of the shuttle, which was 45 mind late, I was told I had to pay $10 extra per bag because I had more than two. I can understand an extra bag charge, but if you ask me how many checked bags I have and I tell you four then you charge me for the extra then or have something alerting me to the fact that I will be charged for the bags. You don't wait untill pick up and throw on extra charges and then get an attitude when I inquire about why this is. For $70 I could've gotten a private car and not have to sit through multiple drop offs, and it wouldn't have taken me 3 hrs to get to Manhattan from Newark. Never again. read more

This is a RAVING review about Super Shuttle! We had a mix-up in NYC with our pick-up location returning to the airport. It was entered in wrong via the web. The morning of our shuttle our driver texted us and we realized the error. I called customer service, they reached out to the driver and they re-routed him to come get us. He came promptly even though it was over 20 blocks. We were traveling from Midtown Manhattan to Newark Airport. We are so appreciative of the EXCELLENT customer service and sense of urgency to problem solve. Thank you again! read more

Worst service period. Driver could barely formulate words with slang. Zero courtesy, waited in vehicle for other passengers for 45 min. Was then told i was rerouted into another vehicle. Dropped back off with promise of helping find my next ride. That never happened. New ride was asleep in a parking lot 15 min away. That time came and went. Called and got a refund. Which takes 5-7 biz days. I will never use this service and will make sure to inform everyone at newark to not use this. read more

I took Super Shuttle home from JFK after arriving around 11:30pm last night - I would've been better off spending the extra $20 on a cab. The driver took 30 minutes to arrive, and there was another passenger who'd been waiting longer than I had. They put 10 of us in the van, which is not a comfortable experience. Passengers lived everywhere from Fort George to midtown-West. Thank goodness I live in the middle, but I hate to think how long it took the passengers left in the van to get home! All in all, it took me 2 hours to get home the airport - after a cross-country flight, it was exactly what I did NOT want. The only reason I give it 2 stars is that the driver was really polite and seemed to be making a considerable effort to get us home efficiently. However, I will not be taking Super Shuttle home again! read more

The idea behind the model is superior, however the customer service and professionalism is lacking. I scheduled service 2 days prior to pickup, and reconfirmed with a customer service rep 1 day previous to pickup that the itinerary was set and a van would be available. I was rudely awaken one hour previous to a 4:45 am pick up by a phone call from a dispatcher advising they could not fulfill the service and that they have already refunded the balance to my credit card, he then hung up. I was stuck with little time to rearrange reservations, and at 3:45 in the morning, few options....MTA happen to be much more reliable. This service is awful. The van arrived 10 minutes past the 15 minute window that I selected. It was crowded and extremely messy with little leg room. The driver was kind enough, but he seemed to have brought a friend along with him and the two were yapping away the whole ride. My trip from the Upper West Side to JFK took approximately 2 hours. Of course the horrible NYC rush hour traffic is not the fault of Super Shuttle. Primarily because of the very poor quality service, I will not be using Super Shuttle. I recommend taking either the A line of the MTA or spending the extra money and getting a yellow cab. read more

Being a native New Yorker, I've used supershuttle many times. There are always issues, but this last trip was it for me. I booked a reservation from laguardia to my home 2 days prior to my trip. Got to the check in desk at 8:52pm and was handed a print-out that stated the driver would arrive at 9:22pm. At 9:35pm the desk agent calls supershuttle to find out why I haven't been picked up, and the driver said he needed 10 more minutes. So, 25 minutes later (over an HOUR after I checked in), the driver finally shows up. I asked why he was so late, and he just replied, "I don't know, call them! Get on it!" and turned his back to me. On top of all that and the seatbelts not working (which everyone who's ridden supershuttle knows you need), my van took people going to both the East and West sides of Manhattan, making the drive home twice as long as it needed to be. If you ever try to get supershuttle from your home/hotel TO the airport, keep in mind that they may schedule your pick-up 3-4 hours before your departure (domestic!). They will show up late even though you will be on time. You'll probably miss your flight. JUST TAKE A CAB! It's worth the extra money. If there's 2 or more people in your group, it's often more cost-effective to take a taxi anyway. *Be wary of pre-booking your supershuttle ride to Brooklyn through travel sites, as I saw a guy who had done so and they would not honor it; they talked him into spending $125 on a private car service instead. Meanwhile, a cab to Brooklyn is $45 ($20 less than he pre-paid for his family to take supershuttle). read more

So after writing my review SuperShuttle asked me if I wanted to follow up with someone, here's what i had to say - I'm not sure there is anything to follow up on - if you were stranded at 1:30 am with no transportation alternatives except spending $100 on a cab ride you couldn't afford you'd be spending the night on the cold floor. They said no longer than 30 minute wait but I ended up waiting for at least 45 minutes to an hour. One of the transportation authority people were nice enough to help me call to check on the status on my ride but he ended up being placed on hold for like 10 minutes and instead of taking him off of hold they call him back on another phone. I think taking the bus would have been cheaper faster or the same as using this service. If you're in a rush I wouldn't recommend this service. I'll be finding another mode of transportation going back to the airport. read more

I was very unsatisfied with Supershuttle. I took the shuttle to Newark with a friend and it took over an hour and 45 minutes to complete the trip which is actually ridiculous. They made it seem like the shuttle would be a quick ride over but that was far from it. We made so many stops in Manhattan and overstuffed the car. We kept going to pick up people from east to west side which made no sense. If I had known it would be like this I would of just taken AirTran. I would not recommend Supershuttle to other people. read more

NEVER USE THIS SERVICE!! Driver missed the pick up. If that weren't bad enough after calling customer service to find out when the driver would arrive, we were told that they were overbooked and the ride would be canceled. THIS WAS THE MORNING OF THE FLIGHT AFTER RECEIVING A CONFIRMATION TEXT THAT MORNING CONFIRMING THE RIDE AND PROVIDING DRIVER INFORMATION. Supershuttle claimed they never confirmed, but we have the text and email string proving otherwise. When requesting to speak to a supervisor, customer service hung up. We live in a an area where there are not many options for getting to the airport and it was not possible to arrange alternative transportation. CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED! Supershuttle is UNRELIABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and will cancel your trip without notice and without arranging alternative transportation for you, but they will still go ahead and charge your card. read more

On a recent trip to NYC via JFK I had no problems when I arrived being picked up and taken to my hotel. However on the trip back they left me at the hotel with no message or notice. I sent an email asking for a refund since I had paid in advance and never got any type of response or refund. When they told me at the hotel that the driver had left me I tried to call and could not get an answer and therefore had to pay $60 for a taxi, which would have been fine if they had at least refunded me the money I had already paid them. They didnt pick me up at Newark airport at 2am in the morning. When I called they said that the next driver could be there at 4.30am. I also had to wait for an hour the first time I booked. This is my second and last booking with them. Better take Uber or the train. read more

Despite some unimpressive experiences in the past, I decided to give this service another try as they were prominently featured at my hotel. Laguardia is not so far from the city, but I was not in the mood to hump luggage up and down subway steps (New York is not particularly handicap friendly). I booked my ride, received my confirmation and proceeded to a day of back to back meetings. I finish up half an hour before my shuttle ride, check my email and see that the shuttle service canceled the ride 2 hrs before the planned departure time. If I could give SuperShuttle zero stars, I would. I booked SuperShuttle to take me to LaGuardia...prepaid online, and made sure to get one of the earliest time slots so that I'd be plenty early to the airport. My girlfriend thought I was being silly by booking the shuttle some four hours in advance of my flight, but I am so lucky that I did. SUPERSHUTTLE NEVER SHOWED UP TO TAKE ME TO THE AIRPORT. When the bus was 10 minutes past the 15-minute time slot during which it was supposed to pick me up, I called SuperShuttle... "We're sorry, there aren't any drivers available to take you to the airport today." WTF!? I had paid online ahead of time and made reservations. The operator told me I should just take a cab, and that if I sent them my receipt, SuperShuttle would refund half the cost of my cab fare. So it took me a while to catch a cab, and by the time I did, traffic had started to pick up...meaning my cab fare came to a hefty $50 before tip. I saved the receipt, and sent it into SuperShuttle. Even though I had given myself four hours to get to the airport, I just barely caught my flight (think running to the gate...). One month later, SuperShuttle FINALLY reimbursed me what I had paid online ahead of time for the service they never provided...but they never refunded half of my cab fare, as they had promised. To recap: -SUPERSHUTTLE never showed up. -Had to take a cab, they said they'd reimburse me for half of it. -They never did. -DON'T RISK TAKING SUPERSHUTTLE. You're better off taking the MTA bus that goes out there, or just shelling out the $$$ for a cab. read more

Honestly, I wish I could give this service zero stars. I will never again use Super Shuttle in New York City. The van was to pick me up at 4:30. I was not picked up until 5. No problem...I am a patient girl. When the driver picked me up, he started to give me attitude about being late. I had to snap on that a$$hole because I was the one outside in the cold rain waiting! He then backed down and told me that he was not trying to be nasty. He didn't even take my suitcase! I had to shove the suitcase into the back seat with me! This was the best part about my experience. This focker was driving like he was part of the Indy 500. He was serving in and out of lanes...and then he hit a car. Awesome. So he was pulled over, which in the heat of traffic took time and had us worrying about missing our flight. Super Shuttle needs to do a better job screening their drivers. I was CURSED AT by a driver AND an operator, on the SAME night. Yes, you read that right. I have a corporate account and offer my clients pick up service and sometimes drop off as well. Their driver was 20 minutes EARLY, their email confirmation gave the WRONG pick up time, and this guy gives me attitude and actually says PHUCK YOU to me before he hangs up. I call Supoer Shuttle to complain and get attitude from the "customer care" b1tch too. She reads my WRONG pick up time slowly as if I'm a child, so I told her to go Phuck mother, she responded with "Phuck You TOO" now I realize I cursed at HER first, but you're an operator at a company, have some professionalism, ESP. with a customer who has spent LITERALLY THOUSANDS of dollars in a year's time. Help captive by a foul-smelling middle eastern dude who talked incessantly on his phone about when he could "cash out," while he avoided the VanWyck for stop and go of Atlantic Ave. I would not have minded that too much..nice chance to see Brooklyn, Flatbush..but this ahole's idea of driving was punching the gas and slamming the brakes in stop and go traffic. Sucked so bad. Never EVER EVEREVEREVER again. This is not out of the norm, the average travel time is 3-4 hours from JFK to any point in Manhattan. Do yourself a favor..pony up for the cab ride or find someone to share into the city. read more

So I tried the SupperShuttle once more after thinking the first time must of been a bad day. The first time, the driver was supposed to show up between 8-8:10am and instead shows up at 7:50am ringing my door bell like there is a fire and told me to hurry up! When I told him he was to be here at 8 he said "yea yea I need to go". He was then rude as can be to all the other passengers and simply ignored any questions. I tried them again today, this time from JFK...today was scary! I wasnt sure if to call the cops or what to do but I was actually scared for the life of everyone in the van. The driver had extreme road rage and after he almost got into the 3rd accident and my friend told him to take it easy, he told us to shut up and enjoy the view and "thats what insurance is for". When my friend told him he needs to calm down he said he can drop us off in the middle of the highway! He also got out of the airport about 30 minutes later then he should of because he yelled at a women who asked if she could sit in the front, she then walked away after he screamed at her for this request and so he drove around for 30 more minutes until he could get another person. We were all terrified and just wanted to get the hell out! DONT TAKE SUPPER SHUTTLE! take the train or take one of the shuttle busses such as Airporter that take you to grand central or port authority or just take a cab!! Its not worth it to save a few dollars to take Supper Shuttle!! LAST time i ever use them! read more

I created a Yelp account specifically to review this absolute terrible service. 1st time I took this shuttle the driver was 1 1/2 late. 2nd time they were 2 hours late and on top of that their drivers were EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful. Luckily, when I was calling for a refund during my two hour wait the kind women from PH was a sweet heart. I highly DO NOT reccomend this service. I scheduled a trip from JFK to a hotel @ W 39th & 8th Ave. and prepaid online. Not only did the trip take 3 hours on a Sunday afternoon, the driver dropped me off at W 25th & 7th Ave. and said "the hotel is right down the middle of this road"...and that will be $22...(first saying I didn't pay, then saying I didn't tip.) The company promised a phone call to respond to my concerns within 48 hours, but never called me back. Not worth the trouble even if it were free!!! read more
