The self-check-in function in my email didn't work, meaning I had to go to the Welcome Desk at LaGuardia and deal with a truly painful process for summoning the shuttle. THEN, after waiting 30 minutes, I got into an over-crowded van (there really aren't 4 seats in that back row, FYI), where I sat for TWO HOURS until finally reaching my hotel. It was horrible and ridiculous, and I doubt that I will EVER use SuperShuttle again if I can find any other means of transportation. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Never again will I use this service. After being courteous to other passengers and not signing in until I had my luggage in hand, I waited over an hour for the shuttle to come. (So basically I waited an hour and twenty minutes just to get in). With the new app allowing you to track where the shuttle is, I was able to see the shuttle waiting for over 25 minutes in one location, meaning another passenger clearly checked in without having their bags, completely disregarding anyone else using the shuttle. Customer service was no help. They had no sympathy, would not send a direct car and then said I'd have to follow a claim to even hope to be refunded. Worst service ever. The one star is for the driver who clearly was trying to hustle and get everyone as fast as possible. read more

I made arrangements to be picked up from the upper east side to be taken to JFK at 4am. My pick up window was between 3:55am-4:15am. The driver was about 11minutes late, but he was very nice and courteous. We arrived to the airport about 2hours before our flight took off. All in all it was a good experience. I just wasn't too happy about the driver being late. I would definitely book with them agains since the service was so cheap and I did get to the airport early enough to make my flight. read more

Took one to the hotel from the airport, then four days later another one from the hotel to the airport. No problems. Great, friendly drivers, large vans as clean as they can be, and most importantly safe drivers. We had no service issues at all. Super quick pick up at the airport and even a little early for the pick up at the hotel. Made it safely to both destinations which is huge in New York City! We will use them again, and would recommend to anyone needing something better than a cab... read more

After waiting a damn hour for the shuttle, had to go to another terminal and wait for them to pick up someone whose plane had just landed!!@ WTF....That's another hour, then the drive and drop off process time, another hour. I traveled to Mexico last week and decided to book a round trip Super Shuttle from the Cancun to my resort. It was a very bad decision. The young lady advised that if I booked a round trip she would give me a great discount, around 40% off and a private taxi with no wait. So, being that I am not familiar with the area I agreed. After taking all my information we paid. (almost $62) I didn't noticed that even after she took down my return time and date she didn't enter the correct in the system and I had to call Supper Shuttle and reschedule my return trip. At the day if check out I missed my return taxi due to issues at check out. I was scheduled for 10am I was there at 9:57 with my spouse but because we were missed informed of the check out location I had to check out at another location. Long story short, I left my spouse to wait for the taxi that showed up at 10:05. I arrived at 10:22 and saw the taxi leave, I was only 10 feet away bit because my spouse didn't speak english he rudely waved and left. After I had the front desk call Super shuttle, the said the driver is only required to stay 15 mins passed scheduled time and could not turn back around. I ended getting a cab off the street that charged me $35 ONE WAY( inc. $5 tip)!!!!! They charger me $98.40 round trip!!!!!!!!!keep in mind the 15 min wait time was not stated on the receipt nor when I booked at the airport! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OVER PRICED! read more

I have used SuperShuttle in many other cities like Austin and Washington, D.C., and have never had anything less than a wonderful, inexpensive and professional journey. However, if I could give 0 stars to NY SuperShuttle, I would! PLEASE DO NOT ever use this service. Even if you have a coupon, it is too unreliable and uncomfortable to be worth the savings. PROBLEMS: - Waited almost 3 hours for a shuttle pick up at Newark. - Confirmation email says "you can call SuperShuttle directly by dialing 29 from the courtesy phones". THEY DO NOT PICK UP. After trying multiple times, an airport Ground Transportation Agents came back from her break and helped, but again no one answered. She called from a different line behind the Welcome Desk, and the call was finally picked up. The process to just get in touch with SuperShuttle and tell them I had arrived: 1 hour. - SuperShuttle said I would be picked up in 30 min (after the phone call). ONE HOUR LATER, an airport agent called on my behalf for an update, and the driver said he was 10 minutes away. The process was repeated 30 min later, and then 30 min after that. The driver was "10 min away" for almost 1.5 HOURS. - When the driver finally arrived, he never spoke to me or even acknowledged my presence (and did not offer to assist with luggage) read more

Even with heavy traffic I was able to make JFK from SOHO on time. Be sure to give a US number or hotel number so they can contact you if they are delayed. I will use them again when I return to NYC. read more

Dirty cars unreliable and non specific for a pickup point. Don't know how to calculate airport times. Drivers drive with cellphones in hand and with excessive speed. Only reason I give a two is for the helpful dispatch service you deal with. read more

Yesterday, Friday, I used Super Shuttle from LaGuardia to Manhattan. Great text service! But slow to leave the airport! I checked in at 1:27 pm and was told it would be a 30 min. wait. It was a 40 min. wait. Then we picked up another person at another door, so it ended up being an hour from the time I checked in until we left the airport. At the bridge toll booth, we waited in a long cash line; 3 cars cut in line a ways ahead of us which slowed us down even more! SuperShuttle needs EZPass which would allow the Shuttle to skip the toll line and get us tired travelers to our destination faster! The driver was fine! I've used SuperShuttle in Baltimore where I only had a 15 min. wait until we left. And at LAX I only had a 10 min. wait. I will use it again at LaGuardia if the wait times get shorter leaving the airport and if you use EZPass for the toll! read more

First time user and last time user of SuperShuttle. It wasn't that inexpensive since I live in Suffolk county around 148 round trip. Getting to airport van was on time drove like a maniac but had more than enough time to check in. However going home told 30-40 minutes it's been over an hour and I can see the car on the map took a detour like WTH. I could have been home by now. Will not use them again!! read more

Trip from JFK to my place: 1) The driver broke my luggage which was not in perfect condition, but he broke it completely. 2) I waited OVER ONE HOUR into the car moving from terminal to terminal in an endless journey to pick up passengers before actually starting my trip home. The driver apologized more than once, saying that the Supershuttle operator was telling him to pick up passengers at the wrong terminals, basically we circled around more than once and I guess we went to Terminal 1 at least 3 times! 3) the driver located my address wrongly so that he left people on the westside before me on the east side, specifically right near the bridge he crossed coming from JFK to Manhattan). He knows it was a mistake because he apologized profusely saying that the map was not showing him my true address. I asked for a refund of the trip and Supershuttle REFUSED IT! Unbelievable! NOT A VALUE. You use them because you think you're saving money. But if time is money, and time in NYC is important to you, this is a bad choice. They'll tell you it will be 20 -30 minutes. That's just to get in the shuttle van. What they don't tell you is that they'll drive to all of the terminals until they have a full shuttle. That took another 20 minutes. The van I was in was not clean and had such a rattle you couldn't hear the person sitting next to you. Just my luck I was the last stop on the driver's route (someone has to be). So it took about 2 hours and 10 minutes for the entire process. I will say - everyone who works there was nice, including the driver. Thus the 2 stars. read more

Don't expect any commitment: We arrived from Mexico to Newark (New York) at 12.45 am. We had the reservation with SuperShuttle made about 1 month ago. When we get the luggage and call them, they say: "we don't have any van available at the moment. We will issue you a refund.". Just like that, no other options. The meaning was: Don't even wait for us. And no apologies. This is the kind of commitment you can wait from them. Consequence: 2 hours of public transportation to Manhattan or $90 of taxi. My hotel booked SuperShuttle to drive us from the Lower East Side to Newark-Liberty this morning, and I was a little nervous because of all the negative reviews here. However, the ride went very smoothly and we got to the airport with hours to spare. The driver was professional and helpful and I would definitely use them again. Worth it to avoid navigating the subways and trains with a full set of luggage, and much more economical than a taxi. And for everyone who says their drivers are rude and drive dangerously... this is New York. You gotta be aggressive and you can't expect everybody to wipe your nose for you every time you sneeze like they do in some other city. read more

If I could give a zero rating I would. Knew I would be getting into Laguardia around 1030pm, so thought I'd book a ride early before hand so I wasn't stuck fighting for a cab. I scheduled a pick up for 1040pm, checked in online at 1050pm and the had the Lady at the welcome centre also call at 1115pm. Having waited and waited, i call super shuttle at 1140, to which they advised i would have to wait at least another hour. I mean are you freakin kidding me. I used SuperShuttle to get from the Hilton in Midtown to JFK. First of all, the driver was pretty reckless, but I'm used to that in New York. The worst part, however, was when the engine overheated on the way to the airport. The driver stopped and determined that some sort of hose was broken. He called the dispatcher/headquarters and told them he needed a new van; they told him to fix it with tape and keep driving. We had to stop twice for water to put in the engine because it kept leaking and overheating. Luckily, the reservation system made me schedule my pick-up three hours before my flight so I didn't miss it. It was a miserable experience. read more

The first time I used Super Shuttle it was a good experience. My husband had just gotten off a flight and jumped on with no reservations. We live on the UES and were the first people dropped off, so it was a quick trip. I tried it again yesterday and it wasn't so good. Again I didn't have reservations, but the driver said he had room. He said he had a few more people to pick up. The problem was that we circled the airport several times, stopping but not picking up people. It took over an hour to get four more passengers (all at the same pick-up spot). Thank goodness I was first dropped off, a good two hours after I got on the shuttle. I felt bad for everyone else who must have spent at least 2-3 hours trying to get to their destination. My sister-in-law also tried the SS from Laguardia the last time she visited and had a bad experience. She was the last to be dropped off - over three hours after they left the airport. SS seems disorganized. I guess it is worth it if the normal taxi price is going to be $30 or more, but LGA to UES, a taxi may be worth it. read more

One of the most irritating experiences I've ever had. Flying in or out of Newark is big enough of a pain in the a** without this headache. I had a pickup scheduled and paid for. When I called from the airport all the so called "customer service" rep had to say was that there was no shuttles. No explanation, no apology, and obviously no form of contact to let me know I'd be stranded at the airport at 1 in the morning. Best recommendation is to use the $15 bus. It comes every 15 minutes and will drop you off at either PABT, Grand Central, or one other place in Manhattan (can't remember off the top of my head). Final recommendation AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!! read more

Super Shuttle Super SUCKS! I hate that my first review ever is a negative one, but this experience was so horrible, I feel like it's my duty to warn you. In an effort to avoid a long, rant-y message, I'll just list all the things that went with their service. 1. My driver left me behind. After arriving in Manhattan, I called from the baggage claim for my 3:00 shuttle. Around 2:50, I use the rest room and when I return, I see the driver going out to the shuttle. I walk up to the window and explain that 1) i booked the shuttle in advance 2) i checked in from the baggage claim, as they asked 3) I was told I was on the 3:00 shuttle. As I'm explaining this, the driver gets in the car and drives away slowly until he couldn't hear me pleading. There were 3 other people in the van - plenty of room. 2. Two other drivers yell at me for not understanding the system, without actually explaining the system. After the 1st driver left, I saw more drivers and asked if they were going to Manhattan. I was told that yes, but they can't take me because "it doesn't work that way." 3. A 4th driver leaves me. At this point, I called the super shuttle dispatch to find out what was happening. She was nice enough to say my ride was free, since everyone kept leaving me behind. A personal driver was called to come pick me up "in 10 minutes." After 20 minutes I had not been picked up, so I called and they said "I'm not sure why the driver left without you." (that was the second time I heard that from them). After TWO HOURS of waiting for the super shuttle, I ended up taking a cab to my hotel. 4. Upon my request, they confirmed that my return trip was cancelled and I was fully refunded, yet they STILL sent a driver to pick me up at my hotel on Sunday and also charged me for BOTH legs of the trip....even though the first half was already "comped" since their drivers kept leaving me behind. I will never NEVER use Super Shuttle again and you shouldn't either!! read more

This is not a good or reliable service for getting to the airport. They are rarely on time and, when they don't come, they inform you that you can't get your money back if you decide to cancel. They give a 4 hour arrival window that they don't inform you about when you purchase the ticket. Buyer beware. read more

I gave SS a few opportunities to get it right. I live on the Upper East Side, so I expect a quick drop-off from Laguardia. The last two times I tried that, the van was routed over the Williamsburg Bridge! Once when leaving Laguardia, people became impatient with the pick up process and started to leave the van to get taxis instead. So, the driver took more time driving around the airport scrounging for passengers, which made even more people want to quit. So the process became a downward cycle of awful customer service. And the driver has to step out of the van and visit a desk inside each terminal where he has a pick up, taking up more time. Every ride I've taken has involved a driver illegally using a hand-held phone. The Super Shuttle service in New York needs a complete re-organization. They'll even have to tolerate an empty seat or two on an airport run. read more

Do yourself a favor, never use this SuperShit again. The van # is 683 Driver is an Indian. So if you happen you be in luck, please run away as fast as you can. Route: My hotel to LGA. It says the pick-up time is 7:30-7:45am on my reservation. I went out at 7:30 sharp. The van driver started yelling at me once I got in. I said I had a fever and I was sorry for being late, which I wasn't. He couldn't stop and told me I should be there by 7am. I said that's not the time on my reservation. Then I showed him my reservation and argued with him because he was so rude. Then he literally told me to SHUT UP. I asked his name and he refused to tell me and he started calling his supervisor (I assume) and lied to him that I was making trouble. I noticed that there was a cam in the car so dear manager/supervisor/whoever should probably take a look at how he pointed his finger at me and told me to shut up. read more

I have a complicated relationship with Super Shuttle. My last trip, though, showed me a different side. Say what you will about the experience in the van (I sure have), but their administrative/office support was a pleasant and very unexpected surprise. If you happen to lose something in a van, it's absolutely worth giving their customer support a shot. As always, it took us forever to circle JFK long enough to fill the shuttle. Yes, we crawled through commute traffic for hours (literally, 2.5 hours) to get to the West Village. Of course, I was the last person to be dropped off out of the full van. And, icing on the cake, in my jet-lagged stupor I left my treasured hand-me-down Ray Bans in the back seat! When sprinting down the street after my blue van didn't work, I called the office in Astoria just so I could feel like I tried to retrieve my beloved glasses. Much to my surprise, I reached a person who was not only able to figure out what van I'd been in (I had no receipt, just an approximate time and pickup/destination), but also call my driver directly, and relay my message. The driver called me back and assured me he had my glasses and would drop them off in their Queens office if he finished his shift without any more downtown pickups/drop-offs. One followup call to the office later, and I had a Lost and Found claim with my address in San Francisco attached. Two followup calls later and I was speaking to an actual human who had both my sunglasses and my Lost and Found claim. Five days after I left my sunglasses in a van in Manhattan, they were on my doorstep in San Francisco. Insane routes and ridiculous wait times aside, Super Shuttle really surprised me with their efficient Lost and Found procedures and their willingness to aid me in my crazy determination to get my glasses back. If only they'd use the same standards of logic inside their vans. read more

Do Not Use This Company!!!! We booked super shuttle for a round trip JFK airport run. The pick up was fine, driver was not friendly at all, but on time. We experienced a delay on our return trip, so I promptly informed super shuttle (Jennifer) of our new arrival time. When I arrived at JFK for my return trip and checked in; now at 12:30 am, we were told that it would be a 90 minute wait as the driver had to come from Long Island. The contract plainly states that "our vans wait in nearby "holding lots" and once you have checked in with us a van will be sent for you." I informed them that 90 minutes was not acceptable, and was shuffled off to a dispatcher, (Jason) who said he never got the corrected change information (which should mean they would have been there even sooner ...right??), and then he went on to say that he could not even guarantee me 90 minutes as it would more likely be 2-3 hours!! Then he told me that we "of course we would not pay for the return trip". I was then transferred back to the main switchboard and spoke with Karina. I gave her my cell phone number, and requested she call me when the van was on the way. I have still not gotten a phone call nor has my refund been processed! I will tell everyone I know .......DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ended up using the Train to the Plane....! That is the way to go. read more

Company is highly unprofessional. Canceled my shuttle 15 minutes before my departure time during Christmas holiday. I was left without ride. When I called to complain I was hung up on 3 times and transferred over and over again until finally I asked to speak directly to supervisor right away. Supervisor explained that they would pay for my entire taxi to airport. I even have email confirmation that the supervisor stated this. They are not refusing to refund the money. They have not responded to phone calls and several emails directly from myself to supervisor. Horrible company, highly unprofessional, surprised how they are still in business after reading reviews and my experience. Furthermore, my husband booked with them before my experience with them, they were 2 hours late for his pickup. Do not use this company. My recent experience was horrible, granted I had a 1 am arrival, but I called the phone immediately and told them I was ready and the dispatcher said 30 minutes. I saw a Super Shuttle can come by around 20 minutes so I went outside and the driver said he didn't have a pick up yet so I thought it was weird since no one else was waiting. Finally nearly 45 minutes later I swear the same guy showed up again with a full van so I sat up front. The only redeeming thing was the driver got us to the Theater District in about 20 minutes and I was the first one dropped off. My trip back never happened. They called me 20 min before my hotel pick up to tell me that they didn't have a van for me because it broke down and there was so much traffic due to the St Patricks Day Parade. You'd think Super Shuttle would PLAN for that, no!?!?! So they said I had to find another way to the airport. Literally writing this review while in the van from LGA to Manhattan. Reserved pick up time 3:30PM on a Sunday. Actual pick up time 4:40 . No transparency into where the van relative to picking you up. Called customer service in the arrival terminal 5 times. Each time I was told 5-10 minutes. Then they tell me I am in the wrong place. How am I in the wrong place? Your supposed to pick me up at the terminal for the flight I put arriving on. Then the driver tries to make small talk with me about why I got picked up so late from the driver seat through the passenger window and I'm like just let me in the stupid van. Don't take this from the airport to manhattan period. read more
